Obama will pay a price for blaming intelligence services for ISIS failures. The only question is how high it will be.

President Obama’s 60 Minutes interview, taped last Friday and aired Sunday, is turning out to be a disaster for him, and may even be a tipping point of sorts. There are six dimensions to the disaster.
1.  By blaming the intelligence community for his failure to act on the ISIS threat, he ensured that a series of damaging leaks will be coming, and they are already starting.
The UK Daily Mail, always far less constrained than the American media when it comes to revealing information damaging to the American progressive establishment, quotes “an administration insider,” summarized in its own bullet points:
  • A national security staffer in the Obama administration said the president has been seeing 'highly accurate predictions' about the rise of the ISIS terror army since 'before the 2012 election'
  • Obama insisted in his campaign speeches that year that America was safe and al-Qaeda was 'on the run'
  • The president said during Sunday's '60 Minutes' program that his Director of National Intelligence had conceded he underestimated ISIS
  • But the administration aide insisted that Obama's advisers gave him actionable information that sat and gathered dust for more than a year
  • 'He knew what was at stake,' the aide said of the president, and 'he knew where all the moving pieces were'
  • Obama takes daily intelligence briefings in writing, he explained, because no one will be able to testify about warning the president in person about threats that the White House doesn't act on
  • This may be a foretaste of what is to come, as intelligence officials realize they will be sacrificial lambs.
    2. Obama has now handed his political opponents a big issue. He has failed in his duty to protect America.
Republicans are not remaining quiet. Mike Rogers, the chairman of the Hosue Intelligence Committee, is quoted in The Hill saying that
...the intelligence community had warned President Obama about the threat from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria for "over a year."
"This was not an Intelligence Community failure, but a failure by policy makers to confront the threat," Rogers said in a statement Monday.
    3.  The media, which had invested so much in his success for so many years, is having a hard time coping with such a naked demonstration of personal irresponsibility on such grave matters.
Yesterday, Josh Earnest faced the unenviable task of walking back the president’s remarks without ever giving a sense that he made a mistake:
"The president’s commander in chief and he’s the one who takes responsibility for ensuring that we have the kinds of policies in place that are required to protect our interests around the globe," Earnest said.
This so clearly contradicts Obama’s blamethrowing that it can only provoke more outrage from those paying attention.
Even Ron Fournier of the National Journal (and former AP White House correspondent), no raging rightie, could not restrain himself, and tweeted:

I, me, my. It's their fault. I, me, my. It's their fault. I, me, my. It's their fault. I, me, my. It's their fault. I, me, my ...
     4. There is a substantial public record that Obama was warned on not just ISIS but several related national security issues, and ignored them for political benefit – to maintain his 2012 election narrative that Al Qaeda was decimated and on the run.  As Rick Moran pointed out yesterday, the on-the-record evidence that Obama was amply warned is substantial, as Eli Lake documented. Today, David Rutz of the Washington Free Beacon adds to the list with historical depth.
All of these factors affect only those people paying attention, and as everyone knows, it is the low information voters who hold the fate of the nation in their hands. So, the question becomes: what impressions will they be gaining? And here is where the tipping point analogy becomes hazardous for Obama.
    5. National security is a gut-level issue, and Obama is forming an image of someone unable to muster the level of concern or leadership necessary to protect us. The startling images of Americans being beheaded by ISIS (and by a Muslim convert in the heartland) have penetrated the low information bubble, and people realize that we face a serious threat.

  • Once the impression is created that Obama is irresponsible in his duty to protect us, it will be very hard indeed for him to escape a degree of scorn, particularly if the threat from ISIS and domestic terrorists (including lone wolves who may not be done with beheadings) continues to produce dramatic images. One thought that keeps me up at night is that we already have over a thousand “advisors” wearing boots that are on the ground in Iraq and probably Syria, and these troops are at risk of being captured and beheaded on camera. What would be the response of the public if an American soldier suffers this fate and it is on the internet?
The expression “security moms” was created to encapsulate a large sector of the Democrats’ female base that becomes uneasy when they perceive a security issue that could affect their loved ones. There can be plenty of security dads, too.
    6. There is disturbing evidence that Obama is just not interested enough in the hard, detailed, and potentially boring minutiae of national security. He has attended less than half (42.7%) of the Presidential Daily Briefings in the first 2079 days of his presidency. And when he reads a memo, he does so on an iPad.

I love my iPad, and use it a lot. But that is in casual settings, often while watchign TV. Is Obama watching sports as he consults his iPad? It does not connote responsibility.

With an election in a bit over a month, the timing could not be worse. Obama may face a reckoning. Unfortunately, so will America.

Trey Gowdy SLAMS Dem Rep. For Blaming Secret Service Issues On Sequestration [VIDEO]

During Monday’s House Oversight hearing, GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy ripped Dem Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton for suggesting the recent incident involving Omar Gonzalez hopping the White House fence and running into the White House could be be a direct result of sequestration.
The hearing was held after multiple issues involving the Secret Service, including the aforementioned fence hopper and the Washington Post report about the service’s response to gunshots fired at the White House in 2011.
Norton asked Secret Service director Julia Pierson questions about the effects of sequestration on the Secret Service, suggesting that the protection agency is down a few hundred agents since the sequester was put into effect. Pierson responded, telling the congresswoman the protection agency is down 550 employees from their “optimal level.” (RELATED: Ranking Member Leaves Hearing To Do MSNBC Hit)
Gowdy, the South Carolina freshman congressman, chastised Norton for the mere mention of it.
“I have some colleagues who are absolutely obsessed with sequestration. We can’t have any hearing without it coming up,” he said. “But you’re not going to sit here and tell us that sequestration is the reason why your agency did not find evidence of the shooting, are you?”
“No, I am not,” responded Pierson.
Gowdy carried on, telling Pierson he was “stunned” sequestration was even brought up. (RELATED: Secret Service Was Concerned For Years That White House Fence Was Not Secure)
At the end of his time, Gowdy, who chairs the ongoing Benghazi select committee, told the Secret Service director the whole situation boiled down to doing a thorough walkthrough of the White House premises and “processing a crime scene.”
“This is just processing a crime scene, director, this is not high math. It is processing a crime scene. You actually don’t need 18 weeks of training to be able to do that. You just need to walk around.”
Later in the hearing GOP Rep. Ron DeSantis asked Pierson how many agents accompanied her to the hearing Tuesday. She responded, saying 12 senior managers came to the hearing with her.
DeSantis told Pierson her agency had originally requested 18 attendees to the hearing, adding that “it cuts against this idea that we’re at a manpower shortage.”

Trey Gowdy’s Not a Detective & He Doesn’t Play One on TV – But He Just Solved the Mystery How Inept The Obama Administration Is

There are few pure pleasures in life. Taking a long stroll down the beach at sunset, the waves lapping at your toes while little squiggles of seaweed massage your tired feet. Downing a tall frosty mug of tap beer after a full work-day spent pounding the pavement on a road construction site.
Listening to Trey Gowdy simply grill some hapless bureaucrat who just had a really bad day and somehow found herself in the crosshairs of Congre
ssional testimony. Ahhh, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Such was the case on Tuesday when Congressman Gowdy confronted Secret Service Director Julia Pierson, whose unenviable task it was to inform the nation that an attack on the White House in 2011 was only discovered three-to-four days later… by a housekeeper.
Congressman Gowdy just goes ahead and puts the Secret Service Director on the spot:

Is that true, did a housekeeper find evidence of the shooting and your agents did not?

Ms. Pierson not only admitted this was the case, but that the shooting was discovered by her three-to-four days later.
Incompetence, much like certain viruses in the news, tends to spread. And in the case of government incompetence, it starts at the head and works its way through the entire organism.

Whether it’s the VAthe EPA, the State Department, the ATF, the DOJ, all the way to the National Parks Service, and obviously the Secret Service, when the head of the nation is too inexperienced and too ideologically detached to understand basic operations of government, we can expect it to take three or four days to find out there was a shooting at the White House, and that it ultimately was discovered by a housekeeper.

Court: Obama Admin Can’t Hide Investigation into Former White House Adviser

This guy can always twist crap into an ice cream cone when he speaks and the liberals believe him. Another Liberal dirt bag using the IRS as a weapon. Looks like a crap load of Liberals involved in the IRS Scandal?

Austan Goolsbee / AP

The Obama administration must acknowledge the existence of an independent investigation into former White House senior economics adviser Austan Goolsbee’s alleged unauthorized access to the Koch brother’s tax returns, a court ruled Tuesday.
A federal judge ruled the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) must disclose to watchdog group Cause of Action whether records of an investigation exist.
Cause of Action filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit after TIGTA refused to confirm or deny the existence of the investigation in what is commonly known as a “Glomar response.”
“The court has ruled that the federal government cannot hide behind confidentiality laws to prevent Americans from knowing if our President has gained unauthorized access to their tax information,” Cause of Action executive director Dan Epstein said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a decisive win for all Americans and for government transparency and accountability.”
Former White House Council of Economic Advisers chairman Austan Goolsbee sparked a mini-scandal in 2010 when he told reporters during a background press briefing that Koch Industries—the company of libertarian philanthropists Charles and David Koch—paid no income taxes.
Conservative lawmakers and activists said Goolsbee’s statements not only unfairly singled out the president’s political opponents but also used confidential IRS documents to do so.
TIGTA announced in response to a letter from six Republican senators that it was launching an investigation into Goolsbee’s comments and whether he violated the law. However, the report was never released to the senators or the public.
TIGTA refused to confirm or deny the existence of the investigation in response to several FOIA requests from the Washington Free Beacon, Koch Industries, and Cause of Action. The agency general cited a statute forbidding the unauthorized release of any citizen’s tax returns.
However, the court ruled Tuesday that the statute did not bar the agency from confirming the existence of an investigation, and that the agency had waived its right to apply other exemptions by previously acknowledging the report.
“The fact that TIGTA has publicly announced that it has investigated unlawful disclosures of, or access to, that body of information protected by statute as ‘return information’ strongly suggests that the fact of an investigation is not, itself, ‘return information,’” the court wrote.
The court cited an Aug. 10, 2011 email obtained by The Washington Examiner from Treasury Special Agent Daniel K. Carney, in which Carney wrote, “The final report relative to the investigation of Austan Goolsbee’s press conference remark is completed, has gone through all the approval processes.”
The White House has consistently denied that it illicitly reviewed Koch Industries’ tax documents. However, it has offered shifting explanations for where Goolsbee got the information he disclosed in the briefing.
An administration official told Politico that the White House got the information from testimony before the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board (PERAB) and from Koch’s own website.
When then-White House press secretary Robert Gibbs was asked to name the sources, he did not offer a specific answer. “I don’t know the answer off the top of my head on that,” Gibbs said. “Again, I can see if there’s better information on that.”
The White House later said Goolsbee was just repeating something he recalled reading.

These Idiots are like a pack of animals. What if someone that is entitled to conceal carry and decide to use their weapon. What do we have now, a racial thing? I would hope not based on the action of these cockroaches!

Memphis, Tennessee suffered another attack by a rampaging mob of black teenagers after they flooded the streets after a local high school football game Friday.

The mob of some 40 teens flooded into the street near inner city Central High School on Friday, September 26 just after the end of the game.
A witness to the rampaging mob, Sharon Mourning, said she wished she were armed at the time. "Had I had been armed we would have had a lot of kids laying in the Bellevue street that night," she said.
The laughing, screaming teenagers waded into the street throwing bricks at cars, jumping on them and damaging them, and accosting pedestrians.
Mourning said she saw the teens beat an elderly man and another child. "I actually looked at the child. His face was bleeding. You know they had done beat him," she told the media.
The woman was unhappy with the actions of the Memphis police who seem to have issued juvenile summons to only two kids involved in the mob action. Mourning said the few summonses were not enough and that there was a bigger problem simmering in Memphis.
"Memphis is going to burn if they don’t control these children," she said.
This is the second reported attack by a mob of black teens in the Bluff City.
Only weeks ago a mob of black teens swarmed a parking lot in East Memphis attacking patrons of a Kroger grocery store and beating one of the store's white employees into unconsciousness.
Days after the incident at the grocery store, Memphis police arrested several people for the attacks.
The grocery store incident was preceded by an attack by a mob of black youths on a white couple outside a nightclub in Springfield, Missouri. The couple were beaten and kicked to the ground. No arrest has been made in that incident.

Melissa Harris-Perry and Guests: Islam Not Relevant to Oklahoma Beheading

Caution: More MSNBC Liberal stupidity on Display here!

MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry hosted a roundtable discussion last week which eventually turned to the topic of the beheading of a woman in Moore, Oklahoma on Friday. Harris-Perry and her guests Dean Obeidallah and Negin Farsad argues that it was merely a case of workplace violence to which Islam had no particular connection.

"It is a story that I read as a workplace violence," Harris-Perry said to open the topic (video below). Dean Obeidallah was upset that the incident was being connected to Islam. "We're seeing right-wing media use this, continuing the narrative. Look, Muslims are here in America; they're committing jihad. The man just converted last year. There was over 500 workplace. We don't know about the religion of any of those murderers, but if someone is Muslim it's got to be a terrorist," Obeidallah argued.
There's actually no mystery about why a possible connection to terrorism arose in this particular case. "Due to the manner of death and initial statements of co-workers and other initial information that our investigators have gathered we requested the assistance of the FBI in conducting a background investigation," Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said during a press conference Friday.
The manner of death is obviously the beheading. His reference to initial statements may include the fact that Nolen had been proselytizing at work and the, still unconfirmed, report that he was shouting Islamic phrases during the attack. Finally, Sgt. Lewis' reference to "other initial information" may include the contents of Nolen's Facebook page.
As Breitbart News reported Friday, Nolen's Facebook page had become increasingly devoted to Islam over the past year. In addition to images of jihadist fighters and condemnations of the United States, in March Nolen posted a graphic image of a beheading which was accompanied by a verse from the Koran.
I asked Dean Obeidallah if he really believed the Facebook postings, particularly the beheading image, were not relevant to the case:
Obeidallah refused to answer my direct question which, again, is based on his statements on MSNBC about the relevance of Nolen's religious views. But, as noted above, the police cited three reasons which motivated them to ask the FBI to investigate Nolen's background. Even if authorities decide it was not the prime motive, there is more than enough evidence to warrant its consideration. What is not warranted is dismissing the connection as Islamophobia, especially without even having all of the evidence.

What a Disgusting Talking Head, not a reporter!

Then this Clown has the nerve to throw his intelligence team under the bus when the info has been in front of his face the whole time!

A new Government Accountability Institute (GAI)report reveals that President Barack Obama has attended only 42.1% of his daily intelligence briefings (known officially as the Presidential Daily Brief, or PDB) in the 2,079 days of his presidency through September 29, 2014.

The GAI report also included a breakdown of Obama’s PDB attendance record between terms; he attended 42.4% of his PDBs in his first term and 41.3% in his second.
The GAI’s alarming findings come on the heels of Obama’s 60 Minutes comments on Sunday, wherein the president laid the blame for the Islamic State’s (ISIS) rapid rise squarely at the feet of his Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
“I think our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria,” said Obama.
According to Daily Beast reporter Eli Lake, members of the Defense establishment were “flabbergasted” by Obama’s attempt to shift blame.
“Either the president doesn’t read the intelligence he’s getting or he’s bullshitting,” a former senior Pentagon official “who worked closely on the threat posed by Sunni jihadists in Syria and Iraq” told the Daily Beast.
On Monday, others in the intelligence community similarly blasted Obama and said he’s shown longstanding disinterest in receiving live, in-person PDBs that allow the Commander-in-Chief the chance for critical followup, feedback, questions, and the challenging of flawed intelligence assumptions.
“It's pretty well-known that the president hasn’t taken in-person intelligence briefings with any regularity since the early days of 2009,” an Obama national security staffer told theDaily Mail on Monday. “He gets them in writing.”
The Obama security staffer said the president’s PDBs have contained detailed threat warnings about the Islamic State dating back to before the 2012 presidential election.
“Unless someone very senior has been shredding the president's daily briefings and telling him that the dog ate them, highly accurate predictions about ISIL have been showing up in the Oval Office since before the 2012 election,” the Obama security staffer told the Daily Mail.
This is not the first time questions have been raised about Obama’s lack of engagement and interest in receiving in-person daily intelligence briefings. On September 10, 2012, the GAI released a similar report showing that Obama had attended less than half (43.8%) of his daily intelligence briefings up to that point. When Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen mentioned the GAI’s findings in his column, then-White House Press SecretaryJay Carney dubbed the findings “hilarious.” The very next day, U.S. Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and three American staff members were murdered in Benghazi. As Breitbart News reported at the time, the White House’s very own presidential calendar revealed Obama had not received his daily intel briefing in the five consecutive days leading up to the Benghazi attacks.
Ultimately, as ABC News reported, the White House did not directly dispute the GAI’s numbers but instead said Obama prefers to read his PDB on his iPad instead of receiving the all-important live, in-person briefings.
Now, with ISIS controlling over 35,000 square miles of territory in its widening caliphate in Iraq and Syria, and with Obama pointing fingers at his own Director of National Intelligence James Clapper for the rise of ISIS, the question remains whether a 42% attendance record on daily intelligence briefings is good enough for most Americans.

May She Rest in Everlasting Peace

This is Colleen Hufford, the 54-year old grandmother beheaded in Oklahoma. No one in the media seems to be showing her picture, yet the media has NO problem repeatedly showing ad-nauseum a picture of the murdering jihadi bast*d taken years ago instead of the way he looks today...in his muslim garb that is.

Another reason they are NOT showing her picture is because now her murder also becomes a black on white crime, and we know the media NEVER reports on that even though reverse racism perpetrated by the race-bating friends of this administration sadly runs rampant in our America today.
And while they are trying to deem Colleen's murder as 'workplace violence' we know the truth...we know the sad truth about an innocent woman who NO longer walks among us because of a president who has let the infiltration of America move forward while he closes his eyes to the enemy now amongst us.

Rest in Peace dear Colleen...you will be remembered.

Racial Disparity is a Bitch

I don't care what race or color you are. You do the Crime you do the Time.......PERIOD! I see some racial overtones in his speech.

No matter how hard the president tries to persuade the country that black people are the real victims of racial violence, black people will just not cooperate.
Saturday night the president was telling members of the Congressional Black Caucus about how police are constantly picking on black people. For no reason whatsoever.
And this racial disparity means police have to change -- arresting fewer black people, for starters. Or more white people.
At almost the exact moment the president was repeating this standard litany of racial grievance, two black suspects in Ferguson shot a cop. They did not appreciate it when the cop found them burglarizing a business.
To some, the fact that black violent crime is wildly out of proportion might disrupt the resident’s carefully crafted gospel of grievance. But to this crowd, it was easily explained. Congressman John Conyers did just that just a few weeks prior.
Conyers was reminding the audience of a congressional hearing about the ins and outs of racism: How it is conscious and subconscious. How it is everywhere. All the time. And how that explains the enormous disparity in crime rates between black and white people.
“With enough time and officers in a certain location, it is only a matter of time before they find reasonable suspicion to stop, detain and arrest someone -- or many people,” said Conyer, presaging the president’s remarks.
This was not gotcha moment: The racist criminal justice system was all Conyers and the other member of the Black Caucus talked about during this hearing.
No one is denying that protestors in Ferguson, unhappy with shooting of Michael Brown, have been threatening police with violence. Regularly for weeks. They just say this shooting had nothing to do with that.
And neither did another shooting later that night: A carful of people shot a gunful of bullets at an off-duty Ferguson officer while he was driving on the freeway. Disparity is a bitch.
While the president and his buddies at the Black Caucus try to figure out whether racist conditions cause black people to commit more crime, or whether racism causes police to arrest them more often -- for no reason whatsoever -- victims of black mob violence are hoping they figure it out fast.
At the exact moment the president was hitting his stride about how black people are victims of relentless racism, members of a neighborhood group in North Minneapolis were struggling with the opposite problem on their Facebook Page:
A friend and I were leaving Fair State Brewing Coop around 9:30 pm (on Central and Lowry) tonight and were both assaulted by a group of 5-6 young men. We got away without more than 1-2 punches each, and quickly had the Police there to make a report (since the station is not much more than a block away).
As we were waiting for the Police to arrive one of the workers of the brewery said it has been happening often there. It was completely unprovoked and without reason.
[Admin: Also, nearly a week after a male had his skull shattered by 3 males with a baseball bat, on Sept. 18 at 26th/University, we still have zero media coverage on that incident, nor any alerts from the MPD about it, nor about any of the other incidents, if, in fact, this type of thing is regularly occurring in the area. Why?]
The administrator wondered why no one thought that was important. But this much we know for sure: Everyone involved was black. Except the victims. And oh yeah, that has been happening there for a long time. Not just in that neighborhood. But throughout Minneapolis.
That did not matter much to some members of this largely white neighborhood group. Several did not deny the criminals were black. Or deny black violence was astronomically out of proportion in Minneapolis. They just denied that anyone should notice.
One member of the group offered her solution: Add more “No Parking at Any Time” signs. Denial is not limited to public officials and reporters.
Another piped up with her story: “My neighbor told my husband and I tonight that 3 young males mugged her mother,” she said, almost apologetically. “A neighbor saw it happening and tried to interject but the 3 guys threatened him as well.”
Still others posted links to other Facebook pages where people were beat probably by the same group of people. At least one member of this group tried to inject some reality into the discussion: “It's called the knockout game,” said Mark LeVitre “You’ve really never heard of it?”
The president and John Conyers never have. At least to speak of.
Same in Seattle: Just a few days before the president’s speech, a large group of black people surrounded and taunted and beat a gay white man walking through a park in a predominately white neighborhood.
A surprising number of people at the KOMO news web site declared the victim was at fault because he had no business being in that park in the middle of the day. He was probably trying to buy drugs or cause trouble, said another.
Whatever he was doing there, he ended up in the hospital beaten so badly he does not remember it. But the neighbors remember. They saw it. And they say it was the same group of black people who “are always causing problems” there. Other neighbors did not deny it. They just condemned anyone who noticed the perpetrators were black.
It surprises many to hear that Seattle is a center of racial violence -- and media denial. But both are documented in that scintillating best seller White Girl Bleed a Lot, and in several articles by that bold, award-winning author thereafter. Or on that same intrepid reporter’s YouTube channel: What is up with Seattle?
Surely you have not forgotten about the group of black people who attacked the pregnant woman on a Seattle bus? On video? Or the group of black people who killed a white soldier? Or the … aww, just look at the stories and videos.
And you will wonder why Seattle has gotten such a pass for so long.
The night before the resident and the Black Caucus were reveling in the enormous amount of racial violence directed at black people, it happened again, this time in Kansas City.
Readers of American Thinker will not be surprised to hear about another episode of black mob violence in Kansas City. It was documented here, not too long ago.
But people who live in Kansas City by now know their town is a center of racial violence at the upscale entertainment district called the Country Club Plaza, the Zoo and neighborhoods throughout the city.
They tried everything to fix it: Get a new police chief. New mayor. New tactics. But nothing changed: Black mobs continued rampaging, assaulting and creating violent mayhem at The Plaza. Finally they tried a curfew -- against the advice of a former mayor of Kansas City, Emanuel Cleaver, who is now a member of the Congressional Black Caucus:
“All we are going to do is make a lot of black kids angry,” said the Congressman. He was right.  Black mob violence proceeds in Kansas City and no one seems to be able to stop it.
Over the weekend, at a black high school, several people were arrested after large-scale violence disrupted a football game. A teacher was attacked and taken to the hospital after “several people took issue with her telling them what to do,” i.e. asking for tickets.
Several others were arrested after “conflicts” with police, i.e. they assaulted the police.  (This Google translator comes in handy.) All the while, black mob violence and mayhem continued in and out of the stadium. One local observer, the wag at Tony’s Kansas City website, was not surprised at the violence. He was surprised that anyone in Kansas City might be surprised.
In Providence, black mob violence was so widespread and intense Saturday night that state officials called an emergency meeting for Sunday to close one of the night clubs at the center of the mayhem.
In Indianapolis, a few hours after the president’s speech, large-scale black mob violence ensued when a group of black people tried to enter a birthday party at the VFW club.  Police say more than 50 shots were fired and four people were wounded.
In Miami, a few hours after the president’s speech, black mob violence preceded a gun battle where 15 black people were wounded. Most were teenagers or pre-teens.
At 3:15 a.m., the morning after the president’s speech, four black people were wounded with a knife, one fatally, after a large fight broke out at a teenage birthday party.
Closer to the president’s speech, 18.5 miles away at Six Flags America amusement park in suburban Maryland, a large group of black people fought and created mayhem during and after Fright Fest -- and during the president’s speech.
A spokeswoman for the park said nothing much happened, despite what anyone might have heard on TV or in the newspapers. The Washington Post attributed some of the violence to the “teenagers” whose parents dropped them off at the park while they attended the nearby Evangel Cathedral for Saturday night services.
The church has a white pastor but the congregation is predominately black. The Friday Night service is called R.I.O.T. Youth Service.
Parents and witnesses to the mayhem at Six Flags took to the NBC News website to tell what really happened.
One black parent was not buying the “nothing to see here” explanation from the park: “This spoke person lied. My children and their friends was there and they were not top priority as stated. My son was running with the crowd so he would not get tramped on and a cop/guard tacked him to the ground. Handed cuffed him, cut up his card and put him out the park. This was done to several of the people there. It was more than a fight because someone was stabbed and shot.”
Another parent called it a mini-riot. Others said it was a full-blown riot, “just like you see on TV.”
Still others (that’s reporter talk for me) said this was just another night, in another week, in another month, where black mob violence is now so common it is considered normal. At the football game. The park. The fairgrounds. Big cities. Small cities. And a dinner featuring the President of the United States.
