Obama’s just like Reagan… Except when he isn’t.

Trickle Down Economics versus Trickle Down Socialism
Ronald Reagan’s economic plan saw GDP surge at a 3.5% clip – 4.9% after the recession. That’s a 32% bump.
During the Obama years, thanks to his big government policies, the US economy has stalled. Today the quarterly GDP was announced. The GDP for the first quarter of 2015 braked more sharply than expected at only a .2% pace. The US economy has grown an anemic 9.6% during the Obama years (excluding today’s dismal number).
Of course, Obama’s record on job growth is also much worse than President Reagan’s record.

Net job growth has declined under Obama. By the end of the second year of their terms as president, economic growth under Reagan averaged 7.1% , under Obama an anemic 2.8%. (IJ Review)
And today, more than five years into the tepid recovery, labor-force participation remains at its lowest level since 1978 during the Carter years.

American Dichotomies

Whether we’re dealing with congressional politics, religious diversity, or moral issues, it seems we end up in a morass so sludge-filled with sodden thinking that we make no progress. We slog along with phrases like “reach across the aisle,” or “your truth is not my truth,” or the always contextless  “judge not that you be not judged.” No clear, fact-based, well-documented dichotomy allowed. You remember the media pounding on Bush 43 for his famous, “You are either with us or you’re against us.” That kind of clarity is now considered idiocy.
The left is assaulting the simplicity of essential dichotomies. These irreconcilable differences -- good versus evil, man versus woman, truth versus lie, love versus hate, justice versus partiality, citizen versus alien, Democrat versus Republican -- are binary arrangements as essential to the function of human society as 1s and 0s are to the operation of your computer.
The reason for this attack is easy to discern. Go back to the precepts celebrated by the Frankfurt School in the 20s and 30s. This “school” – an academic coterie aimed at figuring out how to apply the “lofty” ideas of Marx and Engels –- recognized from the get-go that clear, rational, informed thinking was enemy #1.
If an idea is so rotten it can only bear bad fruit, the only way to sell it is to convince the buyer that putrefaction isn’t decay, that poison isn’t toxic, that stealing isn’t crime. Blur the edges of reality, call into doubt all foundational concepts, and their ramparts of strong logic and overwhelming evidence will collapse.
Why would anyone want to make society collapse? To gain control. It’s easier to steal a car that’s out of gas and missing a driver than it is to grab one whooshing down the freeway. It’s true that humans have a fairly high chaos tolerance (look at the LA freeways) but we have our limits and if things get too nutty, too packed with pandemonium, too dangerous, historically we’ve always opted for tyranny over turmoil.
This mushing of polar opposites into one unpalatable, indigestible whole keeps outrage at bay, stymies discussion, and freezes all resistance. Like Han Solo frozen solid by Jabba the Hut, the average, unindoctrinated person feels incapable not only of action, but of even thinking about the confusion. Intuitively we know that wrong is the opposite of right, but the diehard progressive simply shuts the doors of his eyes and ears and smiles condescendingly. How quaint that we think in “false dichotomies.” How parochial to assume that a person must be either a man or a woman. How cute that we see murder as absolutely wrong, or genocide as absolutely evil, or abortion as the gruesome death of a defenseless innocent. How antiquated and unsophisticated to pay any attention to the Bill of Rights. How charming to expect our borders to function as borders. How picturesque of us to view marriage in such limited ways. How simple of you to want clarity.
Our society, now largely controlled by the progressive mentality, pulls up its skirts and tiptoes past all age-old, fundamental contrasts, because they serve as measuring sticks, as ways to catch them lying, as ways to forcefully argue against them. And no wonder; the temptation to deal with reality this way is as old as Eden.
Ever since the beginning of the human race we have been faced with black and white choices: eat of the tree or don’t, worship God the way He demands, or don’t, kill your brother, or don’t. There has never been a neutral; we can go forward or backward, but if we shift into neutral, we can go nowhere.
And that is what happened in our schools. Allan Bloom in his book The Closing of the American Mind discusses the fact that when we try to accept all points of view, legitimatize all cultures, we steal from our young people not only their natural tendency for outrage, but all interest as well. If it’s not wrong that the Eskimos put their elderly out on an ice flow to drift away and freeze to death, then why is it interesting? Why should we care?
If moral judgments can be made about a culture, then our input is needed and the reason to learn is obvious. If those judgments don’t exist, then other viewpoints are just other and don’t involve us at all. In this way curiosity can be dampened and children taught not to think or discern moral disparities. Muddle, muddle, muddle. No thought, no outrage, no outrage, no action.
But isn’t Baltimore being torn apart by rioting black people? Didn’t Ferguson erupt last fall? Seems there’s plenty of outrage -– yes, but it is phony, orchestrated mindless fury, not based on fact, not based on a firm moral foundation. The rioters are not interested in what actually happened in these incidences; they don’t want legal justice to prevail. They behave and speak like programmed robots that can be wound up and sent in to a town to wreak havoc. A true outrage would not vandalize the very people on whose behalf one is demonstrating. These people know nothing and think nothing and have no moral boundaries. Nothing for them is either right or wrong. The only dichotomy they recognize is black verses white, and that, more than any other, is a false dichotomy, one that needs destruction.
The demolition of the man/woman dichotomy is also a disaster. Why the push for transgender bathrooms? Why does Facebook list over 50 choices for gender on its profile page? Why the push for same-sex marriage? It’s all to blur another line. We can’t think, we can’t even speak clearly, since our language is geared to a man-woman dichotomy, without recognizing that difference.
Let’s say you are at a party and you see a couple dancing romantically. This couple is made up of a woman who used to be a man and another man you know to be gay. How are we supposed to understand such a relationship? The two dance for a spell and then another person taps in and now there are three of them dancing. The third seems to be androgynous. Muddle muddle. And, for the progressive, this is a two-for; he can destroy that age-old male/female distinction and kill the family as well. Can you imagine that threesome raising children?
Family is the first us-verses-them dichotomy; it is the most important defense mechanism man has. As the buffalo herds would form “fairy rings” around the calves when they felt threatened, so the family protects its young and therefore protects the entire human race from extinction. As families die out around the world, so does procreation, and when we quit reproducing, well...
The same effect happens with the smudging of our borders. The nation is also a unit of self-defense -- if one country grows out of line, then other nations – determined by clear borders -- can whipsaw them back into place. If European borders had been indistinct when Hitler began rumbling his tanks through Poland how would anyone have stopped him?  In the case of our southern border, the destruction of it has not only created hopeless social and financial chaos, but will serve to bolster the sagging U.S. birthrate and do so with fools who will vote progressive. Talk about twofers.
We aren’t even supposed to see a dichotomy between Christianity and Islam even though one teaches grace and redemption and the other carnage and slavery. Our president refuses, in spite of the evidence, to admit the evil that is Islam, preferring to further muddy the waters by castigating Christians.
How are we to pull out of this swampy thinking? How will we return to the clarity of our cultural dichotomies? Those of us who still see distinctions must speak, write, rattle cages; we must fight. After all, you are either for freedom or against it.

The Clinton Foundation as a money-laundering scheme

When you put together all the revelations about the Clinton Foundation and its affiliates that have cascaded our way (and continue to arrive), one explanation makes sense.  It was a money-laundering scheme designed to obtain and camouflage foreign money paid to the Clintons to curry favor, including favorable treatment by Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
Sean David of The Federalist makes the case:
The scheme works like this: collect millions of dollars in foreign money, dump it into a foreign charity, pretend that the law prohibits you from ever disclosing the identities of those foreign donors to the foreign charity, then have the foreign charity bundle all the cash and send it to the Clinton Foundation. Then, when the time comes–whether it be a Clinton Foundation conference or a lavish Clinton Foundation trip overseas–make sure those individuals get some me-time with the Clintons.
As The Federalist detailed earlier this week, the Clinton Foundation spun off the bulk of its charitable medical activities back in 2010. By 2013, the main Clinton Foundation entity — the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation — housed only a handful of charitable initiatives, the largest of which existed solely to serve the Clintons, via their conference series and the Clinton presidential library, rather than truly charitable causes. In 2013, for example, the Clinton Foundation spent less than 10 percent of its budget on charitable grants.
The foreign-to-domestic laundering scheme satisfies a number of key Clinton objectives. First, it gave Secretary of State Hillary Clinton total plausible deniability about the millions in foreign cash that were being funneled into her family’s non-profit coffers. She wasn’t on the board of CGEPartnership, and wasn’t even named to the board of the Clinton Foundation until 2013, so how could she have known about this? Second, it gave Hillary’s allies the ability to claim that wealthy foreign individuals were not sending cash to the Clinton Foundation.
How? Because they were sending cash to the Canadian CGEPartnership. And while Bill Clinton’s name is obviously in the organization’s name, he never actually served on its board while Hillary was Secretary of State. Instead, Clinton retained control of the organization by placing Bruce Lindsey on CGEPartnership’s board. Lindsey, a long-time Clinton confidant and adviser, currently serves as the chairman of the board of the Clinton Foundation. He was also the Clinton Foundation’s CEO for over a decade.
If you look holistically at the entire scheme’s setup, at the massive flow of foreign cash, at the refusal to disclose donors, at the secret (and now destroyed) private e-mail servers, at the blatantly bogus excuses, at the falsified tax returns, everything about it suddenly makes a lot more sense.
From soup to nuts, the entire operation was constructed in order to provide a facade of plausible deniability for Hillary Clinton.
If the standard to be applied to understanding all of this is evidence sufficient to convict in court, then, thanks in no small part to the destruction of evidence, it might be (or might not be, considering the criminal conviction of Bob McDonell) difficult to close the case.  But if the standard is one of whom the American voters will honor with our highest office, then the facts are persuasive.

George Soros, Anti-American Pusher of Big Government, Has Refused to Pay $7 Billion in US Taxes

It has been reported that one of the anti-American leftists most responsible for pushing big government spending on America through his donations to left-wing political causes has refused to pay his own US tax bill and is in arrears to the tune of a whopping $7 BILLION!

George Soros is at the heart of nearly every far left, tax-guzzling proposal in the nation yet he refuses to pay his own massive tax bill to help actually fund the programs he advocates.
Bloomberg has the story
George Soros likes to say the rich should pay more taxes. A substantial part of his wealth, though, comes from delaying them. While building a record as one of the world’s greatest investors, the 84-year-old billionaire used a loophole that allowed him to defer taxes on fees paid by clients and reinvest them in his fund, where they continued to grow tax-free. At the end of 2013, Soros—through Soros Fund Management—had amassed $13.3 billion through the use of deferrals, according to Irish regulatory filings by Soros.
Congress closed the loophole in 2008 and ordered hedge fund managers who used it to pay the accumulated taxes by 2017. A New York-based money manager such as Soros would be subject to a federal rate of 39.6 percent, combined state and city levies totaling 12 percent, and an additional 3.8 percent tax on investment income to pay for Obamacare, according to Andrew Needham, a tax partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Applying those rates to Soros’s deferred income would create a tax bill of $6.7 billion. That calculation is based on publicly available information such as the Irish regulatory filings, which provide only a partial glimpse into Soros’s finances. The actual tax bill would be affected by factors specific to the billionaire. Soros declined to comment, according to Michael Vachon, a spokesman, as did Anthony Burke, an IRS spokesman.
Just before Congress closed the loophole, Soros transferred assets to Ireland—a country seen by some at the time as a possible refuge from the law. The filings show for the first time the extent to which Soros’s almost $30 billion fortune—he ranks 23rd on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index—came from finding ways to delay taxes and reinvesting the money in his fund.
Just another leftist hypocrite that thinks rules are for everyone else.

Owner of looted Baltimore shoe store on handling of crisis

This store owner did nothing to the Maggots that went through his store and did this! What these Cockroach Thugs did to this store had nothing to do with the man that died! The SCUM that stole from this Store, I hope some get caught and get whats coming. Same with the Slim that stole from the CVS and then torched it. I feel for the hard working people at these businesses and hope they get their jobs back on track after the Garbage destroyed the business, and then the Idiot Mayor said back off and let them "riot", she needs to be removed from office!

Thousands More "Missing" Lois Lerner Emails Have Been Found

According to a report in The Hill, the Treasury’s inspector general for tax administration has found thousands of former IRS official Lois Lerner's "missing" emails.
An inspector general investigating the IRS’s improper scrutiny of Tea Party groups has found thousands of emails from Lois Lerner, the agency official at the center of that controversy, according to committees involved in the probe.

Treasury’s inspector general for tax administration (TIGTA) said it found roughly 6,400 emails either to or from Lerner from between 2004 and 2013 that it didn’t think the IRS had turned over to lawmakers, the congressional committees said. The committees have yet to examine the emails, aides on Capitol Hill said.

The IRS said last year that Lerner’s computer crashed in 2011, leaving it unable to reproduce an untold number of her emails over the prior two years.

Of the emails the inspector general found, around 650 were from 2010 and 2011, while most were from 2012. The inspector general found about 35,000 emails in all as it sought to recover emails from recycled back-up tapes.
As a reminder, not only did Lerner say a hard drive crash caused the loss of all of her emails during the period when she engaged in targeting of conservative tea party groups, current IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said the same under oath in front of Congress.
Contempt of Congress charges against Lerner will not be pursued by the Department of Justice.

Controversial Democratic Sheriff Points the Finger for the Violent Baltimore Riots in One Direction

Interesting statistics other media probably wont report on. These Rioters say they are being oppressed.  By who?

David Clarke Jr., the controversial Democrat Sheriff for Milwaukee, in an interview with Neil Cavuto on Fox News identified the cause for the riots that are destroying the city: “failed liberal policies.”
He asserted several things in this quick segment. Here are some pertinent facts about the city:
  • The last Republican administration to run Baltimore was in 1967.
  • The current Police Commissioner is black.
  • The unemployment rate in Baltimore is significantly higher (8.4%) than the country as a whole (5.5%), with some areas over 50% in the past five years.
  • Two-thirds of the city’s residents are black. Almost one-quarter of residents live below the poverty line.
  • Median household income is just over half the statewide average and the average per-person income is $24,750.
  • Baltimore youth unemployment is double the national average.
  • High school graduation rates are far below the national average, despite recent, slight improvements. The drop-out rate is double the nationalaverage.
  • In 2014, of the 211 homicides in the city, 22 (9.6%) victims were races other than black; For the 69 homicides thus far in 2015, only 10 weren’t black.
  • In 2012, the most recent year with complete demographic information, 94.4% of victims were black, and nearly 80% of victims and suspects had previous criminal records.
  • The city has the fifth-highest murder rate of large cities in the country.
People may be able to argue about Clarke’s conclusions, but they’re based on solid, factual grounds.
In the past, Clarke has incensed those on the left with comments about gun control, Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton and the riots in Ferguson, Missouri.

Obama economy roars along: 0.2% growth in 1st quarter

First quarter growth figures are out and economists are "surprised" that our economy grew only 0.2%.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the economy expanding at a 1.0 percent rate. While the weak GDP figures could rattle financial markets, the growth slowdown is probably not a true reflection of the economy's health, given the role of temporary factors such as the weather and the ports dispute.
As always, the media is desperate to put lipstick on a pig by claiming weather or some other kind of magical hindrance on economic growth. How about blaming Obama's economic policies? That appears to be the exclusive reserve of Republican presidents.
The first-quarter GDP snapshot was released just hours before U.S. Federal Reserve officials conclude a two-day policy meeting. Policymakers at the central bank are expected to acknowledge the softer growth, but shrug it off as temporary in a statement they will issue after their gathering.
While there are signs the economy is pulling out of the soft patch, data on home building, manufacturing, retail sales and business investment suggest the rebound will lack the vigor seen last year when the economy snapped back after being blindsided by cold weather.
At the start of this year, many economists believed the Fed would raise interest rates from near zero in June. Now, most of the guessing centers around September.
The government did not quantify the impact of the weather, the strong dollar and the ports disruptions on growth last quarter. Economists, however, estimate unusually cold weather in February chopped off as much as half a percentage point, with the port disruptions shaving off a further 0.3 percentage point.
The weather impact was evident in weakness in consumer spending. Growth in consumer spending, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, slowed to a 1.9 percent rate. That was the slowest in a year and followed a brisk 4.4 percent pace in the fourth quarter.
The sharp moderation in consumer spending came even though households enjoyed huge savings from a big drop in gasoline prices. Consumers boosted their savings to $727.8 billion from $603.4 billion in the fourth quarter.
Construction also took a hit from the weather, while lower energy prices, which have cut into domestic oil production, undermined business investment.
Note that even if the weather had been balmy and if the ports labor problem didn't exist, economic growth would have been an anemic 1%. And that's with a massive decrease in gas and heating oil prices, putting nearly $200 billion in the pockets of consumers.
The economy is like Gulliver being restrained by thousands of tiny Lilliputian ropes, straining to get off the ground. The Obama administration keeps adding restraints to  keep Gulliver pinned. Gulliver will only break free when someone comes along and cuts a few of those ropes.
An outcome that won't occur until 2016 at the earliest.

Kerry wishes US had a leader like Ayatollah Khamenei

Just think this disgusting Piece of Crap is Representing the United States!

Sure - exactly with America needs. A theocratic fanatic who wants to wipe Israel off the map and leads the chants of "Death to America" every Friday after prayers.
What could have possessed our secretary of state to tell his Iranian counterpart that he wishes the US had a leader like Iran's Supreme Leader?
Secretary of State John Kerry told his Iranian counterpart that he wished the United States had a leader more like Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, according to comments made by a senior Iranian cleric and repeated in the country’s state-run media.
Ayatollah Alam al-Hoda claimed during Friday prayer services in Iran that in negotiations over Tehran’s contested nuclear program, Kerry told the country’s foreign minister that he “wished the U.S. had a leader like Iran’s supreme leader,” according to a Persian-language report on the remarks published by the Asriran news site.
“In the negotiations Kerry told [Iranian Foreign Minister Javad] Zarif that he [Kerry] wished U.S. had a leader like Iran’s supreme leader,” according to Alam al-Hoda, who is a senior member of the Iran’s powerful Assembly of Experts.
A senior administration official told the Washington Free Beacon that such a contention is patently absurd.
The remarks are the latest in a string of comments made by Iranian leaders purporting to reveal private details of the talks.
Iranian newspapers have carried multiple reports in recent months suggesting that Iranian Foreign Minister and chief negotiator Javad Zarif was ordered to stop screaming at Kerry behind closed doors.
In his Friday remarks, al-Hoda went on to say that Obama is set on striking a deal with Iran by June.
“Both Republicans and Democrats want these negotiations with Iran, but they fight each other for partisan interests,” he was quoted as saying. “Obama wants the negotiation to succeed so his party can win the next election and Republicans want to stop him.”
Alam al-Hoda also celebrated Iran’s expansion in the region and controversial activities in war-torn countries such as Syria and Yemen.
“Today, the resistance crescent has gone beyond Syria and Lebanon and reached to Yemen,” he said. “Today the resistance front is in control of Strait of Hormuz and Bab-el-Mandeb.”
The “U.S. and Israel have not been so weak anytime before,” he continues. “All these events are being managed by the hidden Imam,” a revered religious figure in Shia Islam.
There's the "hidden Imam" again. But don't worry. I have it on the best authority - liberal foreign policy experts - that whenever a high ranking Iranian talks about the coming apocalypse and return of the Hidden Imam, they don't really believe it. It's for domestic consumption.
I suppose it's apropos that Kerry would want to switch out Obama for Khamenei. Any man who screams "Death to America" at least once a week is OK in his book.
