McAuliffe travels Va. touting Medicaid expansion

I  respect the States that Refused to go along with the Medicaid Expansion. The Key here is after TWO YEARS the States and the TAXPAYER will be stuck with 100% of the bill! So if the states pick up millions on Medicaid where is the money coming from to pay the bill? Raise Taxes.......HELL NO!

WISE, Va. (AP) — Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe is traveling to hospitals around Virginia to try pressuring Republicans into supporting expandedMedicaid eligibility.

The General Assembly adjourned Saturday without passing a biennial budget. House Republicans oppose expanding Medicaid eligibility to 400,000 low-income residents, saying the state can't afford the long-term cost of such a large expansion.

The federal government has pledged to cover the bulk of the expansion, and McAuliffe has argued the state can't afford to pass up the federal funds.

McAuliffe plans to visit cash-strapped hospitals to highlight the need for Medicaid expansion. He recently visited health care centers in Southwest Virginia.

McAuliffe has scheduled a special session for March 24.
