FRENCH-JEWISH politician warns that due to growing Islamization and collapsing Christianity, France will soon cease to be France

 Sound familiar?

In a political landscape paralyzed by fear, denial, and cultural amnesia, Éric Zemmour has once again articulated the one truth the French establishment refuses to confront: France is a Christian nation — and without Christianity, France will disintegrate.

RAIR Foundation  Appearing on the influential TV program Les Grandes Gueules, Zemmour — the founder of Reconquête, best-selling author, and former candidate for President — delivered a sweeping, intellectually rigorous indictment of France’s political class, its collapsing religious identity, and its sleepwalk toward Islamization. What made his message even more striking is that it came from a French Jew of Algerian heritage, a man who has immersed himself so profoundly in Christian civilization that he now defends it more passionately than most French Catholics.
Zemmour began with a blistering assessment of France’s so-called conservative parties, accusing both Les Républicains (LR) and the Rassemblement National (RN) of wasting their political leverage and surrendering the nation to left-wing institutional power. They did not insist on cutting visas from Algeria, restricting migrant welfare programs, or demanding border reforms as a condition for parliamentary support. They simply capitulated.
Zemmour considers the core of France’s civilizational crisis: its abandonment of Christianity. As a Jew, he insisted that one does not need to convert to Catholicism to be fully French. But to be French in any meaningful sense, he argued, requires becoming steeped in Christian civilization — its art, its literature, its ethics, its architecture, its worldview. Christianity, he said, invented the individual, the concept of interior faith, and the idea of personal liberty. Remove Christianity, and France becomes an empty administrative territory with no soul.
This has become a regular sight on Paris streets
But he acknowledged a vital cultural and political alliance between Jews and Christians in modern France. During his presidential campaign, he witnessed young Jews and young Christians aligning instinctively to defend France’s Christian identity against aggressive Islamization.
Jews in France increasingly understand that the erosion of Christian identity leaves them vulnerable, isolated, and targeted in a country where Islam has become an assertive political force. Christians recognize that the Jewish historical experience and cultural memory offer moral and intellectual strength in preserving a nation’s identity under pressure.
What emerges from Zemmour’s interview is not simply commentary but a civilizational diagnosis. France is no longer just de-Christianizing; it is de-Frenchifying. Its institutions are governed by ideological bureaucrats, its political right is timid and strategically incompetent, its courts overrule its voters, its Church is collapsing under its own compromises, and its youth are being pushed into identity confusion by the rise of Islam.
