Police in Macon, Georgia, say up to 50 teenagers stormed into and trashed a local Walmart store over the weekend causing thousands of dollars in damage in what appears to be an organized attack.

The onslaught took place at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, and an incident report from the Bibb County Sheriff’s office says floors in parts of the store on Zebulon Road were “coated with broken merchandise.”

“The length of the store from front to rear was lined with items which had been shattered, destroyed, turned over and thrown about,” the report said.

The media will ignore this, of course. But imagine if it was a mob of 50 white kids doing this?

America's Destiny in the Balance

In 1856 Harper’s Magazine published a quote first attributed to Jose Correia de Serra, a Portuguese Abbot, scientist and close friend of Thomas Jefferson: “It has been said that a ‘special Providence watches over children, drunkards and the United States’.”  The presidency of Barack Obama is the latest example of the accuracy of this observation, since the American people have been granted a last chance, before it is too late, to reverse course as a window has been forced open for the citizenry to view what future will bring if the nation remains on its present course.

Beginning in the 1930’s, under the aegis of Franklin Roosevelt, the nation began a drift to the left as a reaction to the Great Depression.  However, those truly committed to socialist/Marxist philosophy and tactics remained in the shadows until the 1960’s.  The Viet Nam war protests unleashed far more than just a demand for an end to the war.  Those that blamed America for all manner of alleged sins in the past and determined to transform the United States into a socialist/Marxist nirvana were able to step out from behind the shadows and enter the mainstream of national legitimacy.  This swarm of locusts soon enveloped the higher levels of academia spawning countless clones to further infiltrate all strata of society -- most notably the mainstream media, the entertainment complex and the ultimate target: the Democratic Party.  These vital segments of the culture are now instruments of indoctrination, propaganda and political power.

The curriculum throughout all levels of schooling and the scripts of movies and television shows were gradually but inexorably altered to reflect the American left’s mindset, not only about governing, but their determination to undermine basic societal moral and religious underpinning as a necessary step in assuring that an eventual ill-educated and dependent populace would look to a government controlled by a single political party as their savior and provider. 

Over the past fifty years, as the foundation of the United States was being stealthily eroded, the vast majority of the American people slumbered content in unprecedented peace and prosperity.  Regardless of who was in the White House or in control of Congress, no one has been able or willing, as by-product of this public apathy, to curtail the incessant spread of so-called Progressivism in the nation’s institutions as well as the exponential growth of government with its tentacles increasingly intertwined in the day-to-day lives of all Americans.

Nonetheless in 2008 this was still a right of center country, as less than 20% of the populace identified themselves as liberal or in favor of an all-powerful central government and over 80% self identified as religious.  It was clear that it would take at least 15 to 20 years of public and political indifference and another fully indoctrinated generation before the tenets of socialism/Marxism would completely envelop the nation and its social and political institutions, thus being impossible to ever reverse.

It was at this point that Barack Obama was thrust upon the scene.  No nominee in the history of the United States was less qualified to be president, as he had no accomplishments or executive experience except to be steeped in socialist/Marxist ideology and tactics.  Nonetheless due to a extraordinary confluence of circumstances -- the self-inflicted and near universal unpopularity of George W. Bush, a catastrophic financial meltdown six weeks before the presidential election, uninspiring and feckless opposition in the primaries and the general election and, most importantly, the unique factor of skin color -- he was elected President.  

With the ascendancy of Barack Obama to the White House the acolytes of the American Left, in their giddiness over the election of a fellow traveler, abandoned all pretext of moderation.  Their adherence to the scorched earth tactics of Saul Alinski, open and unabashed advocacy of socialist/Marxist tenets, the depths to which they had infiltrated American society and the Democratic Party quickly began to come into focus. 

After nearly six and half years of the Obama administration and the ongoing rampage of the Left, it is clear for all to see what future lies in store for the United States under the long term reign of this cabal:

1.  The Supreme Court is one justice away from being dominated by politically motivated leftists, four of whom are already in place, bent on relegating the Constitution to the dustbin of history and replacing it with the Left’s agenda.
2. In due course, freedom of speech, religion and the press will be what the central government and courts, controlled by one party, allow it to be.
3. All macro-economic activity will be determined by Washington D.C., and in order to continue to operate major corporations, their managements will have to be subservient to the central government per the basic tenets of fascism.  Small business formation will be severely curtailed as the federal regulatory state determines who and what business can be formed.
4. The power and independence of the individual states will be vastly eroded as the courts and the power of the purse emanating from Washington will force them into compliance with the whims of the Democratic Party.
5. The Republican Party will cease to effectively exist except as a token opposition party, as fund raising laws, a media controlled by the government, regulations and court decisions will render it ineffective.
6. There will be a permanent massive underclass encompassing over 50% of the population as a result of central planning, massive open door immigration, the near non-existence of new business formation and the inability of the country to weather the next global financial crisis.  They and the remnant of the middle class that remains will be increasingly dependent on government largess as the national debt approaches 200% of a declining Gross Domestic Product and the nation lives under a constant threat of hyper-inflation.
7. The United States will, in due course, become a hollow military power unable to play a role on the world stage as other government expenditures and a declining standard of living render defense spending moot.  As a result the country will find itself under increasing level of domestic attacks by terrorists spawned in the Middle East and acting as agents of America’s enemies.  China will take over the status as the world’s super power as the United States voluntarily casts itself into a subservient role.
8. Eventually this nation as we know it will cease to exist as a violent reaction to all the above will eventuate in a revolution and split the country into three or four independent nations.

Notwithstanding the above, a plurality of the American people have begun to wake up to this potential reality as revealed by the outcome of the 2014 mid-term elections wherein the Democratic Party suffered massive defeats at all levels of government.  However, far too many are still living in their self-induced stupor unable or unwilling to understand where this nation is headed and why.  Coupled with the urgency of the populace and the opposition party to vigorously push back against the onslaught of the American Left for the next 18 months the election of 2016 will be the most critical in the nation’s history if the nation is to survive in peace and prosperity.

I am an immigrant to this country and a displaced survivor of a war that destroyed a continent. A war fomented by men, beginning the 1920’s, who also adhered to the same basic tenets espoused by Barack Obama and his fellow travelers.  I have seen and experienced the end product of their narcissism and megalomania.  Based on firsthand knowledge I can attest to the existence of God as well as his helping hand.   God has given the people of the United States one last opportunity, through the circumstances of the election of Barack Obama, to rescue the last best hope of mankind.  There will be no divine intervention -- it is for the people, in their free will, to decide.  If the citizenry chooses to maintain its present course, God will turn his back on this nation as he has done with much of Europe and the Middle East.

Access to Medicare Act Would Protect Seniors from Obamacare’s 15 Unelected Bureaucrats

This  looks like a death panel to me! The very thing this  Idiot just said again is not true. In the video he tells the lady that they can give "Grandma" a pill to comfort her rather than fix the problem. That tells me they wont invest money to help "grandma to get better.  This "Medicare Act" looks like it might be a step to help protect Seniors. Obamacare’s Independent Payment Advisory Board is a panel of 15 unelected health care experts chosen by the president who have the authority to cut Medicare spending without congressional approval. This rationing of health coverage, concerned legislators argue, puts seniors at risk as it places bureaucrats in the middle of their cherished doctor-patient relationships.

Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), a nurse, is an original co-sponsor of H.R. 1190, the Protecting Seniors’ Access to Medicare Act of 2015, which would repeal IPAB. On Tuesday she explained why this legislation is a necessary effort to protect seniors.

But under Obamacare’s Independent Payment Advisory Board – or “IPAB” – a panel of 15 unelected bureaucrats would be tasked with cutting Medicare costs in a way that could deny care to seniors who need it most.

Now, I’ve been a nurse for over 40 years, but you don’t need to be a health care professional to understand that there’s nothing fair about that.

Mister Speaker, no senior needs a Washington bureaucrat standing between them and their doctor.

Black also mentioned that the legislation was a bipartisan initiative. A couple of years ago, for instance, even former governor Howard Dean (D-VT) described IPAB as a “major problem” that is based on system that has a “40-year track record of failure.” He also challenged the notion that the program would be cost-effective.

Most important, once again, these kinds of schemes do not control costs. The medical system simply becomes more bureaucratic. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has indicated that the IPAB, in its current form, won't save a single dime before 2021.

The benefits of IPAB appear to be non-existent – and President Obama’s claim that his health care law would be “a new set of rules that treats everyone fairly and honestly,” now seems nothing more than an empty promise.

Obama Takes ACA Victory Tour to Tennessee, Where 28,000 Lost Insurance Coverage

The Supreme Court gave President Obama a reason to be giddy about the status of his signature health care legislation on Friday, upholding Obamacare subsidies for individuals living in states without state based Obamacare exchanges. He promptly held a presser at the White House, beaming that the Affordable Care Act was “here to stay.” Now, it appears he’s taking his victory tour to Tennessee.

Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), a former nurse, suggested that maybe the president should have done a little research before choosing her state to promote his pride and joy.

“During his visit to Tennessee, perhaps President Obama will explain why Obamacare customers in our state have been told to expect a 36 percent premium increase next year, despite the President’s promise that his law would save families an average of $2,500 per year. Or maybe he will address the 28,000 Tennesseans who lost their insurance coverage in a single day despite his pledge that ‘If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.’ Whatever the case, the President has picked the wrong location to take a victory lap on the Supreme Court’s irresponsible ruling and my conservative colleagues and I will not relent in the fight to fully repeal Obamacare.”

Ouch. 

The ACA's trail of destruction doesn’t end there. A nationwide CNN poll revealed that twice as many Americans were hurt by Obamacare than benefited from it.

The pinch was especially felt in Tennessee, where state-sponsored insurance programs, which thousands of residents relied on, were effectively shut down thanks to ACA. Here’s how families found out:

Letters are going out this week to explain the changes to people covered by AccessTN, a program for people who have pre-existing medical conditions, and by CoverRX, a prescription benefits program. The 16,000 people enrolled in CoverTN, a limited benefits plan, have already been notified it will end Dec. 31. Many families also have received notice they will no longer be able to buy into CoverKids.

No wonder why Rep. Black is sending a message to President Obama that no speech can put a Band Aid on what these families endured.

“I don’t know what the President will say during his visit to the Volunteer State, but no amount of spin can change the fact that Obamacare is failing to live up to its most basic promises and is hurting too many Tennesseans.”

VA Denies Iraq War Vet Medical Care Because They "Aren't Taking New Patients"

We were told after The Idiot in the White House did some changes that things were fixed and all good? Doesn't look to promising!

The Department of Veteran's Affairs apparently doesn't have time for the nation's veterans and recently turned at least one young man away after he sought treatment for PTSD. The excuse? The VA just isn't "taking new patients right now." More from USA Today: 

Iraq war veteran Chris Dorsey figured that no one would believe he had been turned away from a U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs clinic when he sought an appointment for post-traumatic stress disorder.

So when he went on Tuesday to another facility, the VA Oakwood, Georgia, Community Based Outpatient Clinic, he flipped on his smartphone camera.

On the video, Dorsey is heard waiting patiently in line for more than 5 minutes. When he reaches the check-in counter, he informs the desk he needs a transfer from the Athens, Georgia, VA system and an appointment.

The response?

"We're not accepting any new patients — not this clinic," the VA employee behind the desk says, without providing any extra information, assistance or guidance for treatment.

Unforunately, Dorsey's case isn't an isolated incident. According the the Armed Forces Foundation, the average wait time for veterans to see a specialist for PTSD at the VA is 41 days.

"If it's happening to me, I can't just be be the only one," he said. 

Waiting periods for any veteran can be deadly, but especially those suffering from PTSD. On average, veterans commit suicide every 65 minutes of every single day. Since 2001, 2,500 active-duty military personnel have committed suicide. Our vets need help and they need it immediately when they make the decision to seek it out. This is completely unacceptable.

Black Teacher Hits Handicapped White Child, Tells Him Black People Fought To Not “Serve White People Like You”

A Cincinnati teacher has resigned in the wake of racist comments and abusive actions taken toward handicapped children.

Intervention Specialist Pamela Bullock has left her position at Wayne Local Schools in Warren County, after four teaching assistants wrote a letter to administrators detailing her abuse toward students.

In one incident, the assistants reported that Ms. Bullock was taking care of a handicapped, non-verbal student, when she became irate at him. Bullock threw a marker at the boy, hitting him in the head.

Later the same day, "a racial comment was directed toward the same student," wrote the assistants. "After applying a bandage to the student's leg, [Bullock] said, 'Anything else, your highness? My people fought for years, so we wouldn't have to serve white people like you.'"
In another incident, Bullock reportedly got angry at a student and took the safety wheels of his wheelchair.

The assistant's letter continued, "In addition, there is a great lack of teaching in the functional skills classroom for intensive needs special education students. On most days, she sits at her computer, while paraprofessionals create activities and try to teach the students. It is not the intention of this letter to be vindictive or to attack (Bullock). However, as paraprofessionals, we are required to be advocates for our students."

Two administrators, elementary school principal Jean Hartman and special education coordinator Amanda Johnson, did nothing about the incidents, despite it being brought to their attention. When the district started termination procedures, Bullock resigned and Johnson and Hartman were put on administrative leave.

Experts: Why the I-75 bridge collapsed

The collapse of the closed Hopple Street overpass onto Interstate 75 appeared to be a major construction accident and not a failure of the bridge itself, construction and engineering experts told The Enquirer on Tuesday.

It killed a construction worker late Monday night and paralyzed traffic throughout the region, also crushing the front of a tractor-trailer truck underneath; the driver only sustained minor injuries. The incident occurred at 10:30 p.m., about a half an hour before demolition was set to commence on the span; the highway reopened around 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Experts said the demolition process could have triggered the accident. The Hopple Street interchange project is part of $2 billion overhaul of I-75, and contractors had earlier removed the eastern portion of the bridge that collapsed Monday.

"They should've been demolishing the middle first, and then they would've been OK," said Linwood Howell, a senior engineer for Austin, Texas-based XRStructural Engineering Services, which routinely inspects bridges for the state of Texas.

Data: Hopple Street bridge structurally sound

Contractor Kokosing Construction Company, Inc. was under a $91 million contract to rebuild the Hopple interchange as part of the remaking of that stretch of I-75. That included removing the old ramps and documents obtained by The Enquirer on Tuesday indicate that the company faces penalties of $3,000 for every 15 minutes a lane of I-75 was closed during the project.

"I can see the contractor's point of view in trying to be efficient and saving time and money, thinking 'I've got to close traffic down in order to work on the middle so let me just go ahead and take the sides out first,' " Howell said. But taking the sides off first is "the worst thing to be doing on a bridge like this."

University of Cincinnati architecture professor Tom Bible said the pictures indicate a failure of the joints at the western joint of the span. That wouldn't have happened, he said, if the eastern end of the bridge over the median and connecting to the old Hopple Street connection hadn't been previously removed.

"Judging from the pictures, it obviously slipped off its supports," he said.

Westerville-based Kokosing declined to comment on possible explanations for the collapse.

The overpass, which had been shut down weeks ago, had its eastern part previously removed as part of reconstruction of all of I-75 from the Ohio River through Hamilton County to I-275. The new Hopple Street bridge opened for all traffic late last month.

An estimated 200,000 vehicles pass through that section of the highway daily, according to Cincinnati police. But I-75 also is a major commercial route nationally; an estimated $400 billion annually in goods crosses the Brent Spence Bridge – which carries I-75 over the Ohio River – a number equivalent to nearly 4 percent of the nation's gross domestic product.

"What appears to have happened is, in essence, an industrial incident – a workplace incident with respect to a construction crew that's doing work out here," Cincinnati city manager Harry Black said. "Something went wrong, and a tragedy has occurred as a result."

ODOT, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Kokosing all began separate investigations into the incident Tuesday morning.

Kokosing a major player in regional highway projects

The incident occurred as Brandon Carl was driving an excavator on top of the old span and moving old steel beams to the east side so the demolition could start. When the bridge collapsed, the beams crushed Carl inside the cab.

The collapse nearly crushed the tractor trailer about to pass under the bridge. The driver, identified as Eric Meyers of Howell, Mich., was hospitalized for minor injuries.

Kokosing officials confirmed that Carl was working for the company and not a subcontractor. The company also confirmed it was performing its own "forensic" investigation into the collapse to figure out why it happened. But Kokosing declined comment on what might have caused the collapse or whether any joints failed or had been loosened in advance of any demolition.

Bridge victim 'family man, and a hard working country boy'

Kokosing is well-known throughout Ohio and according to its website, the company is ODOT's largest highway contractor (it does similar work in West Virginia). Created 60 years ago, Kokosing has more than 35 years of experience in heavy highway construction.

Kokosing has been involved in many local high-profile projects, including several in the area. It built the $50 million Cross County Highway project now known as Ronald Reagan Highway. At the time it was built, the Ronald Reagan Highway was the largest construction project done for ODOT, Kokosing's website notes. It regularly does large projects and other works for ODOT. Kokosing also is involved in the Martin Luther King Jr. interchange near I-71.

In 1992, it purchased the assets of McGraw Construction in Middletown to form a member company called McGraw/Kokosing, Inc. to provide heavy industrial maintenance. That company was involved in the 1994 AK Steel incident in Middletown that resulted in the death of four workers – David Kort of West Price Hill; James Prater Jr., of Middletown; Lonnie J. Stephens Jr., of Bellevue, Ky.; and David Reekers of Ludlow, Ky.

Kokosing has been involved in much of the reconstruction of I-75 in Hamilton County to prepare for the new interstate bridge to cross the Ohio River into Kentucky.

The Enquirer requested Kokosing's worker safety records Tuesday from OSHA, but that data was not immediately available.

There was a similar instance of a bridge collapsing during demolition last May in California; a construction worker died in that accident as well. A section of a weakened bridge in Riverside collapsed while under demolition, while a worker was tethered to it.

"But overall, such collapses are incredibly rare," said Howell.

Bridge safe pre-demolition; construction work dangerous

The bridge that collapsed was originally built in 1961, but got decent reviews in its most recent inspection in 2013. It's "sufficiency rating," or measure of safety, design and structural measures, was 74.7 – anything below a 50 is considered problematic. ODOT released the report of the inspection done in November 2014 late Tuesday, and the overall rating on the span was a 7 on a scale of 1-to-9. That was before demolition work took place, however.

By comparison, the Western Hill Viaduct's sufficiency rating is 36 and the Brent Spence Bridge received a rating of 66.

This was also the first high-profile highway construction worker death in the area since 2006. Previously, however, nine such highway workers died in the region between 2000-2005. Since then, many construction companies have replaced orange barrels with concrete barricades to increase safety.

Overall, private construction remains one of the most dangerous jobs in the nation, according to the Labor Department. The 796 fatal work injuries in construction in 2013 accounted for the highest number of fatal work injuries of any industry sector in 2013.

Highway construction accidents in Ohio

In Ohio, 4,373 crashes occurred in work zones in 2013, including 1,118 injury crashes and 19 fatalities, according to ODOT.

From 2008 through 2012, ODOT vehicles and equipment were struck 590 times by passing vehicles. Of those, 359 had failed to move over.
