FOX NEWS: Neil Cavuto had an exclusive interview moments ago with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) who earlier today met face-to-face with Susan Rice, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. McCain and fellow Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte met with Rice and acting CIA Director Michael Morell about Rice’s assertions in the days after the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, Libya. Earlier this afternoon, Sen. Ayotte talked to Megyn Kelly about the meeting. All three said they are even more troubled now about Rice’s actions than they were before meeting with her.
Particularly, the lawmakers want to know why Rice went on several Sunday shows and blamed an anti-Islam video for the attack. It was later revealed that U.S. intelligence knew almost immediately that it was a coordinated terror attack and not linked to any spontaneous protest.
Rice has been rumored as the likely choice of President Obama to replace departing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Earlier this month, Obama called out McCain and other Republicans for their criticism of Rice and their vows to oppose her nomination.
On Your World, McCain said he didn’t get much out of the meeting, which Rice requested. He said some of the information that she had access to “clearly contradicted” what she said about the anti-Islam video.
“She also said on national television that Al Qaeda was decimated. That’s just patently false. And I asked why that statement should be made to the American people and she really had no good answer for it,” said McCain.
He went on to question why, after two and a half months, Rice is just now admitting that the information she presented was not accurate.
“We knew within hours of all the details when we got bin Laden in the raid (in Pakistan). Every one of them. They’re making a movie out of it,” McCain pointed out.http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/11/27/McCain-Rice-Admitted-Had-Access-to-Benghazi-Intelligence-That-Clearly-Contradicted-Her-Statements
