VIDEO: If You Thought There Would be Justice for the VA Scandal, Think Again

The controversy surrounding the VA Scandal has drawn outrage from both the Left and the Right. It doesn’t matter which side of the aisle you stand on when it comes to doing right by our veterans, the very people who risk all for the safety and security of our country. But, the acting VA Secretary refuses to admit to a systemic breakdown within the organization or the need for a harsh response involving the termination of those responsible. (Watch Video Below)
As the news of falsified waiting lists that led to the deaths of veterans emerged, the normally Obama friendly Democrat Media Complex actually began displaying some journalistic integrity. When Americans found out that many who falsified the waiting lists did so in order to receive their bonus which were tied to a decrease in wait times, the people were even more incensed. Calls for then VA Secretary Eric Shinseki became louder, but Barack Obama continued to state that he had every confidence in Shinseki’s ability to lead the department through the mess.
But, the calls grew louder until Shinseki finally resigned.
Taking his place as the acting VA Secretary would be Sloan Gibson, a man many doubted even had the experience to run the VA. With a background in banking, many questioned the pick wondering if he could handle heading the VA even if on a temporary basis.
It has been nearly two weeks since Gibson took over the helms as VA Secretary. A recent radio interview will have many Americans calling foul and angered by his attitude about what should be done in a search for justice for those vets, and their families, who lost their lives and suffered because VA employees were more concerned about looking good and receiving bonuses than they were about actually providing treatment. In total, more than $100 million in bonuses were given to employees during the over three years that the waiting lists were being falsified
The Daily Caller reports on Gibson’s interview with WNCN from Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Despite speaking to veterans who felt the scandal “goes further than they want you to know,” Gibson defiantly refused to admit the systemic breakdown suspected by many of the VA’s patients.
“You know, this, this — this idea that let’s fire everybody, let’s pull everybody’s bonus away? That’s a bunch of crap,” he declared angrily. “Have we got problems? Yes we do . . . And my commitment is that we’re going to deal with these problems. But I’m not going to see people sit here and say that we’ve got 350,000 people that aren’t worth a crap.”
So, again, the Obama administration sends the message that nothing is wrong and there is no need for anyone to suffer a consequence for their actions. The callous disregard that they have for those who put themselves in harms way to defend America and her citizens is shameful. It looks like what we’ll have is yet another faux investigation resulting in no accountability. That seems to be the typical response of Team Obama who want to take credit for everything good, but responsibility for nothing that might hurt Obama’s image or his poll numbers.
