PATHETIC: Liberal Reporter Compares 'Antifa' Protesters with WWII Veterans

A liberal journalist faced a fierce backlash on twitter Wednesday, after he posted a staggering tweet equating alt-left ‘Antifa’ protesters with World War II veterans who fought back fascism and defeated Adolf Hitler over seventy-years ago.
John Hendrickson, a deputy editor at Esquire magazine, posted the comment on twitter, showing a picture of American veterans at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, DC with the headline “Alt-Left Thugs Who Battled Nazis.”
The backlash was immediate, with users pointing out the stunning disrespect shown to the “greatest generation” by equating them with stick-yielding liberal activists.
“To compare Normandy with Charlottesville or the Greatest Generation with antifa is just insane,” wrote one user.
Speaking earlier this week, the President fiercely condemned white nationalists, Neo-Nazis, the KKK, and other hate groups that attended the deadly protests which left one person dead and dozens injured.
“Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs; including the KKK, Neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans,” the President told reporters.
