Finally, the CDC corrected COVID pediatric deaths because of a coding error. Essentially, they eliminated nearly 25% of all previously reported deaths from their data base because of inaccuracy. You should understand the implications of such an action. To be specific, it means COVID public health policy for kids over the past years was based on inaccurate evidence and speculation. That is to say, kids were unnecessarily exposed to the harms of interventions like masking social distancing, school closures, and mandatory vaccination without appropriate evidence.
