This is the new norm for the Marxist left. Suing Tucker but never met him
The producer who sued Fox News and Tucker Carlson over a "discriminatory and hostile work environment" never actually met Carlson, lawyers have confirmed.
What about the lawsuit?
Abby Grossberg filed a lawsuit against Fox Corporation last month, naming Fox News, Carlson, network executives, and other members of Carlson's production team as co-defendants.
The suit alleges that Carlson and his production team subjected Grossberg, who worked as the head booker for Carlson's show beginning in July 2022, "to a toxic work environment that is hostile to women like her."
That work environment, according to the lawsuit, "subjugates women based on vile sexist stereotypes, typecasts religious minorities and belittles their traditions, and demonstrates little to no regard for those suffering from mental illness."
What did Grossberg's attorneys say?
Her attorneys confirmed on Wednesday that Grossberg never met Carlson in person because he taped his 8 p.m. show from remote studios, an admission that will likely complicate efforts to prove the claims made against Carlson.
"Like many on the ["Tucker Carlson Tonight"] staff, Abby never met Tucker Carlson in person because he taped the show from his personal studios in Maine and Florida, and he did not visit Fox’s NY HQ during her time there," attorney Kimberly Catala told the Spectator.
How, then, can Carlson be guilty of the conduct that Grossberg's lawsuit alleges? According to Catala, it is because Carlson cultivated a "sexist" workplace using his top staffers as his "eyes" and "ears."
"Since Tucker did not come to the Fox office, he relied on Justin Wells, his executive producer, and others like Alexander McCaskill, senior producer, who were present in the office every day to be his eyes, ears and mouthpiece, and to convey his 'tone,' as they threateningly reminded Ms. Grossberg," Catala said.
Catala further explained that Grossberg and Carlson maintained daily contact via phone and email.
Fox News fired Grossberg after she filed the lawsuit. The network has not yet filed an official response to the lawsuit, but has denied Grossberg's allegations.
"We will continue to vigorously defend Fox against Ms. Grossberg’s unmeritorious legal claims, which are riddled with false allegations against Fox and our employees," Fox News told the New York Times in a statement.
