UNREAL: Obama Skips National Security Meeting on Russia Situation

As the situation between Russia and Ukraine develops, you’d expect our president to be keeping up-to-date on every single detail coming out.  But remember, this is Obama.  He didn’t attend national security briefings while our ambassador was in danger in Benghazi.
According to tweets from White House press correspondents, Obama skipped a key national security meeting on the Ukraine situation earlier today.  Absolutely unreal.
Where was he?  Golfing?
The Weekly Standard writes:
A White House official emailed some reporters to say that President Obama’s team met today to discuss the ongoing situation on Ukraine. It appears President Obama did not attend.
“The President’s national security team met today to receive an update on the situation in Ukraine and discuss potential policy options. We will provide further updates later this afternoon,” reads the full statement.
According to Time magazine’s Zeke Miller, Obama skipped the meeting. “Obama did not attend the meeting, but WH official says he has been briefed by Susan Rice and his national security team,” says Miller.

2.4% Q4 growth : Is anybody arguing that the stimulus worked?

We got more news that the Obama recovery is a lot like the last three 8-8 Cowboys seasons.  In other words, not very good for the fans who've been waiting a long time for our local team to go on a playoff run.
Cowboys' fans are getting very impatient.
On a more serious topic, Americans are also getting very impatient about a US economy that just doesn't seem to want to take off in a kind of a growth run.
According to Bloomberg, our old friend "Mr Revised Downward" is using his red pen again and marking down the prior results:
"Gross domestic product grew at a 2.4 percent annualized rate from October through December, compared with the government’s first estimate of 3.2 percent issued last month, revised figures from the Commerce Department also showed today."
My bigger concern is that we may be entering a period where growth is stagnant and that may be the shape of things to come, according to Floyd Norris of The New York Times:
The part of the past that you deem most relevant can be critical in determining your outlook for the future. And nowhere is that clearer than in the changing economic forecasts that come out of the Congressional Budget Office.
This year’s short-term and long-term economic forecasts are substantially worse than last year’s, even though the economy performed better than expected in 2013. What changed was that the C.B.O. economists essentially decided that they would no longer treat the recent years of poor economic performance as a sort of outlier. They have seen enough of a slow economy to begin to think that we should get used to sluggishness.
They think that Americans will earn less than they previously expected, that fewer of them will want jobs and that fewer will get them. They think companies will invest less and earn less. The economy, as measured by growth in real gross domestic product, will settle into a prolonged period in which it grows at an average rate of just 2.1 percent. From 2019 through 2024, job growth will average less than 70,000 a month.
It looks to me that President Obama's legacy will be ugly:
1) ObamaCare;
2) A foreign policy that will keep him up at night; and,
3) GDP growth that will be tough to defend politically.
Other than that, "the stimulus" is doing just great and Press Secretary Carney is singing the same old song!

Steven Seagal: If the Truth Comes Out About Benghazi, Obama Will be Impeached (Video)

I love to see others feel the Passion toward our Country!

Steven Seagal was supposed to give a light-hearted address, but no one tells him what to do. He just blasts the Obama administration, and he’s completely right:  Seagal’s tone was anything but joking, as he sternly and seriously gave his grave assessment of the political leadership and tyranny taking place in America today. Seagal begins by displaying disbelieve of the depravity coming out of Washington, DC:
“Never in my life did I ever believe that our country would be taken over by people  like the people who are running it at this day.”
Seagal then accuses the Obama administration of treating the Constitution of the United States like a “joke,” and blasts the Obama Department of Justice, led by Eric Holder, of  making up a judicial system “as they go along.”
Seagal then speaks about the various Obama scandals, asking, “What’s happening with the ‘Fast and Furious,” and asks rhetorically, “What’s happened with the truth,” with what Seagal refers to as some of the “greatest scandals in American history that have happened right before our very eyes?”
In regards to the Benghazi terrorist attacks, Seagal warns that if the truth was revealed, Obama would certainly be impeached:
“If the truth about Benghazi were to come out now, I don’t think that this man would make it through his term. I think he would be impeached.”

Hey John Kerry: It’s the Desert, Stupid

Someone better send John Kerry a high school geography textbook.
Our brilliant Secretary of State doesn’t seem to know that California is about two-thirds desert.
Based on his recent statements about the cause of my home state’s 13-month drought, Kerry doesn’t know anything about California’s history or climate, either.
He thinks the state’s current drought — which is draining reservoirs, raising fears of severe water shortages in small towns, and already causing the usual idiots to demand the death penalty for lawn watering — is the result of man-made climate change.
If only more of Kerry’s Hollywood soul mates would drive a Tesla, if only every American could be forced to walk or windsurf to work each day, we could save California from drying up and blowing away.
Not exactly, Secretary. California’s mostly a desert. It’s been one for eons. Deserts tend to, ah, have water issues — especially when tens of millions of people live in them.
My native state has been subject to droughts that make the current mini-drought look like monsoon season. This dry spell is nothing compared to the mega-droughts of old.
How about the one that started in the year 850 — and lasted 240 years? Or the shorter one that began in about 1100 and ended in 1300? Did humans cause them too, Secretary?
Were the Tongva people who lived in L.A. before the Spanish arrived driving too many big SUVs or barbecuing too many mountain lions?
When I was growing up in Southern California, we had droughts.
But in 1960, we didn’t have to worry about running out of water because we had a competent state government that had built enough dams, reservoirs, and aqueducts to serve its 16 million people.
Now we’ve got 37 million Californians and a government that’s more interested in tearing down dams, diverting river water to save endangered fish, and building $68 billion bullet trains than investing in our future water needs.
The L.A. Times had a big piece about the drought recently. It trotted out a bunch of experts who said we have a real dumb state and federal water policy in California, which was news to no one.
The experts also said we waste too much water. Farmers waste it. Homeowners waste it. Businesses and golf courses waste it. And they said we’re all going to have to learn to use less water and pay more for it in the future.
So let’s get this straight.
First, the politicians create the water problem by not building enough dams to store the water we’ll need when the next inevitable drought comes.
Now they want to solve the water shortage they created by telling me not to use so much water? On top of that, they want to make me pay more for less water so that the guys who sell the water can keep their profits up?
Sounds like a typical government operation to me.
The experts in the L.A. Times article never addressed the idea of creating a free-market mechanism that would allow people — mainly farmers who consume 80 percent of the water — to buy and sell water rights as a way to allocate our water resources efficiently.
And they pooh-poohed the idea that the answer to our future water needs is more reservoirs, which they said are too expensive.
I think the water experts are all wet.
This week, two huge rainstorms are coming in off the Pacific. By Saturday, I’ll be able to go over to the Los Angeles River and see it at full flood stage. The streets nearby might be flooded.
Talk about wasting water. Talk about stupid. All that rainwater will flow straight into the ocean.
California has built some water reservoirs since 1960, but we need to build more. That way, when we have to pray for rain (and it comes), we’ll have somewhere to hold it.

Sen. Kay Hagan Dodges Question on Obamacare for What Seems Like the 10,000th Time

Lets Remember, that these Liberals voted for Obamacare. "carried the water" for Obama, demonized Ted Cruze for trying to defund it and also demonized the GOP for wanting to Delay it! So why should anybody trust her to work for the people's interest instead of Obama's liberal Socialist agenda! I hope the people don't re elect her on emotion! They need to listen to whats best for the people and right now the Libs don't have that answer!

After dodging multiple questions about Obamacare while announcing the launch of her reelection campaign earlier this week, Senator Kay Hagan managed to do it again in an interview with her local ABC affiliate.
Instead of answering a question asking when she knew that Obamacare, for which she voted, would cause Americans to lose their insurance, she again started talking about a bill she sponsored that would reverse that. Definitely not the best way to kick off a campaign…

Krauthammer: 'Ukrainians, Everybody Shocked By The Weakness Of Obama's Statement'

Fox News contributor and syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer weighed in on Barack Obama’s “warning” to Russia not to intervene in Ukraine, saying “everybody is shocked by his weakness.”
Amid reports that Russia has placed 2,000 troops in Crimea, within the borders of Ukraine, Obama said Friday that “the United States will stand with the international community in affirming that there will be costs for any military intervention in Ukraine.”
On Fox News’ Special Report Friday night, Krauthammer responded to Obama’s statement:
“The Ukrainians, and I think everybody, is shocked by the weakness of Obama’s statement. What he’s saying is, we’re not really going to do anything. He said, any violation of Ukrainian territory is destabilizing, and that’s not in Russia’s interest. He is instructing Putin on what’s in Russia’s interest?
I can assure you, Putin has calculated his own interests … that detaching Crimea from Ukraine and making it, essentially, a colony of Russia, is in Russia’s interest. [H]e knows he has nothing to fear from the West, because it’s not led by anybody. It used to be led by the United States.”
Obama has been criticized throughout his presidency for saying or doing too little too late when foreign crises arise, choosing instead to be controlled by consequences rather than seeking to control them:
  • Egypt, during the so-called “Arab spring”
  • Libya, where his reticence led to France’s then-president Nikolas Sarkosy taking charge for the as the West finally intervened
  • Syria where his now-infamous hollow red-line warning over the use of chemical weapons allowed Vladimir Putin to take control
  • And now Ukraine, where its pro-democracy population looks to the outside world for support
Words are cheap, Mr. President — regardless of how tough you try to sound when you read them from a teleprompter. The fate of Ukraine hangs in the balance.
