Stuart Varney: Income Redistribution Causes ‘Lousy Growth Rate’, ‘Shrinking Middle Class’, And ‘Appalling’ Unemployment
Stuart Varney made an appearance on Fox & Friends this morning to discuss some news that you may not have heard. Tax revenues are actually up. So why does the President insist on taxing us even more?
Well, other than the fact that he’s a Democrat, of course.
Let’s let Varney speak. “The President’s priority,” he said, “is to redistribute the wealth via the tax system. Tax, bring in a lot more money, and then tax some more… because that’s fair.”
With that last statement, Varney was being sarcastic.
“The Congressional Budget Office, the government’s own bean counters, they announced Monday that we’ve got an extra $284 billion coming into the Treasury in the 11 months leading up to August,” Varney continued. “It’s all in the name of fairness, but it hasn’t worked. This income redistribution through taxation has given us a lousy growth rate. It’s given us a shrinking middle class and appalling rates of unemployment amongst young people and minorities. This fairness is, in fact, unfair.”
Varney went on to discuss that there is an extra trillion dollars that the President wants in tax revenue over the next decade. In fact, Democrats always want more tax revenues over every decade. Those people own a patent on raising taxes.
Varney also used a cake analogy. President Obama, according to Varney, is not interested ingrowing the cake, but in reslicing the cake. “It is fundamentally unfair,” Varney said.
