Dylann Roof killed nine people on Wednesday night. That was a tragedy, but we and the victims' relatives can take comfort in knowing that they are with God. But what is more tragic is the politization that Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama and the liberal MSM have fabricated that has already begun. Their blame will directly affect many more than nine people. All gun owners will be blamed.
In the words of Rahm Emanuel, "You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."
Emanuel's saying explains why Obama is currently doing what he's doing. On Thursday morning Obama, the gun control advocate, spoke about the Charleston, SC shooting:
We don't have all the facts, but we do know that, once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun.
Once again Obama blames guns for the "serious crisis," this time because of availability.
Obama also said:
At some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this kind of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries. It doesn't happen in other places with this kind of frequency. It is in our power to do something about it.
And the MSM is saying that Roof is not mentally ill, that he knew what he was doing.
Well, Obama, if what you say forms the basis for your gun control beliefs, then you should go after cars and knives as well. It seems that a man in Graz, Austria, killed three people and injured thirty four in a violent use of a car. He then got out of the car and started randomly stabbing people.
The driver, a 22 year old man of Bosnian heritage, a father of two, was facing divorce and was evicted from his home because of domestic violence. Was he mentally ill? MSM, where are y'all on this one?
Did I miss Obama's and the MSM's call for car control or knife control? A car and a knife were used to commit mass violence. And Austria is certainly an advanced country. Or is this yet another example of selective indignation and of liberal hypocrisy?
But, hey, the car was an ecologically irresponsible SUV, so obviously the driver was mentally ill. That was the reason for the silence.
Guns cannot defend themselves, so they are easy target for liberals. If they could, they would quickly illustrate just how vapid and idiotic liberals' reasons for calling for bans are. Cars and knives have the same characteristic. They cannot defend themselves. And they are available.
So, are car and knife owners the next targets for liberals?
