DNC Chair Has Ridiculous Request For Her Fellow Democrats: Bring A Muslim To State Of The Union

Democrats continue to try and mischaracterize the Republican position on Islam. While GOP candidates largely highlight that this administration is not doing nearly enough to combat radical Islam in the Middle East and here at home, the left has worked to try to frame this discussion as an assault on civil rights.

Now, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, is calling for Democrats to orchestrate a pathetic stunt. She’s asking her colleagues to bring a token Muslim to the State of the Union Address.

Donald Trump’s proposal has irked many liberals who are outraged that he would propose suspending immigration from the Middle East based on religion. However, though they huff and puff with self-righteous indignation and ooze naiveté, liberal lawmakers and executive tyrants have firmly refused to accept the reality facing Americans: we are at war with radical Islam. Or, more specifically, they are at war with us.

In either case, though the left can throw their fits and stomp and huff, the majority of Americans agree with the proposal to suspend Muslim immigration until we can assess and strengthen our national security measures.

According to a letter sent to House Democrats by Wasserman Schultz  and Rep. Keith Ellison, the nation’s first Muslim representative, House Democrats are being asked to bring as their guest to the State of the Union Address a Muslim to parade around to showcase their tolerance.

“Over the past few weeks we have seen a shocking and alarming rise in hateful rhetoric against one particular minority population in our nation,” the letter reads. “Leading political figures have made offensive and outrageous suggestions that we should create a national registry of all people of one particular faith and that we should prevent any person of that faith from even entering this great country.”

 The letter claims that bringing a Muslim guest to the January 12^th, 2016, State of the Union Address would show “our compatriots and the world that we will not be intimidated by fear into discrimination. There could be no stronger expression of support for our American values than sending this message of solidarity through the extension of this invitation.”

The peaceful Muslims which reside in the U.S. should feel embarrassed by this obvious tokenism. To achieve political ends, Democrats are hosting a “bring a Muslim to work day” and hoping to parade-around a Muslim acquaintance in order to show the world just how super-duper tolerant they are. It’s insulting.

Few would argue that each and every Muslim in the world is a terrorist. There are many who practice their religion in peace.

However, it is sheer lunacy to operate upon the presumption that Americans are not greatly endangered by Islam. A recent poll from the Center for Security Policy released data showing “25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad” and 51% of those polled “agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah.”

If we accept that 1-in-4 are willing to commit violence in the name of Allah, it is outrageous that the Democrats have so thoroughly misrepresented the battle that is occurring between the Muslim world and the West and have attempted to frame this as a civil rights issue when it is clearly a national security issue.

If I have a bowl of M&Ms and I tell you that 25% of them have been laced with cyanide, are you going to try one? Or will you politely decline?

Evidently the Democrat Party line is, “Why not? Three-quarters of them won’t kill me and you’re a bigot if you don’t try one, too!”
