The speech Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina really wanted to give after the State of the Union address

Haley’s planned speech had to be heavily edited by House Speaker Paul Ryan so it would only be offensive to conservative Republicans. The White House was pleased with the speech she gave, but would have preferred the original (below).
