Good Question...........Timing of this was Fishy
Rep. Louie Gohmert wonders why Secretary of State John Kerry would call on Iran to “rescue” our allegedly disabled boats (nearly impossible that 2 boats would have mechanical problems at the same time) when our own large Naval vessels were in the area.
TheBlaze (h/t Susan K) Instead of asking the Truman carrier group in the area to rescue the soldiers and inform Iran of the ongoing rescue, the U.S. asked Iran to rescue U.S. sailors whereby Iran arrested and held the sailors….giving them more than enough time to inspect the boats and perhaps gather secret information.
Here, the Captain is apologizing and thanking Iran for good treatment of the sailors. But look closely at his body language. When he is speaking about what happened, he is looking down as if he is reading prepared statements (by the Obama Regime?). This whole thing stinks to high heaven.
Retired Naval Officer said the Captain “had no business apologizing to Iran.
Mediate According to Christopher Harmer, violations of airspace or water space in the Persian Gulf are unfortunately common. He lamented how any soldier representing the Navy––and by extension the government––would be “apologizing on behalf of the U.S. government.”
He said every officer is trained to only give certain information and then “be quiet” if you’re in custody. Harmer said that whatever else happens, this incident is “very valuable” in Iran for the propaganda aspect.
