Romney to give 'major speech' trashing Trump

If Trump gets the nomination I will vote for him. I still see Trumps "Make America great Again" empty promises with no substance like Obama's "hope and change" I still like Cruz. I can see the People of this Country getting P.O. with Romney telling you how to vote when he lost as an establishment Rhino. If the GOP has a brokered convention to stop trump after he wins the nomination I can see a major revolt against the GOP.It will be interesting.

Mitt Romney will give what his camp is calling a "major speech" today, commenting on the GOP nomination fight.  Specifically, Ronney will bash frontrunner Donald Trump for being a "phony" and a "fraud."
Former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romneythinks "Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud" and that he's "playing the American public for suckers," according to prepared remarks provided by Romney to CNN.
Romney, the party's nominee in 2012, will urge Americans "to make the right choices" and not support the GOP front runner during a speech he'll give today at 11:30 a.m. ET at the University of Utah's Hinckley Institute of Politics Forum.
With Dr. Ben Carson bowing out of tonight's Republican presidential debate, Romney will promote the remaining candidates. According to the former Massachusetts governor, "the only serious policy proposals that deal with the broad range of national challenges we confront have come from Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich."
Romney is expected to remark on some what-ifs about Trump becoming president. "His domestic policies would lead to recession. His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe. He has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president," Romney is expected to say.
Romney will also touch on a "twisted example of evil trumping good: "Trump's claims that he admires Russian President Vladimir Putin while calling "George W. Bush a liar."
It is clear that Romney thinks a Trump nomination istroublesome for both the Republican Party and the country.
In the wake of Super Tuesday results, Romney will also address what many are presuming the general election will look like: Hillary Clinton vs. Trump.
I hate to be in a position of defending Donald Trump, so I will bash Romney instead.  Would someone tell me what relevance the 2012 Republican loser has to the current conversation about candidates?  Mitt Romney was doing just fiine as an ex candidate – that is to say, he was agreeably invisible and should have remained so.
The fact is, the people he wants to persuade will ignore him.  He has zero influence with the sort of people who support Donald Trump.  Many of them probably stayed home in 2012 rather than vote for him.  His "conservative conversion" in that race was one of the most transparently ridiculous gambits in recent electoral memory.  No one believed him.
So the man who switched positions on any number of issues, including gay marriage, health care, and immigration is now going to accuse Donald Trump of being a "phony"?
Mitt should crawl back into his hole and not come out until next Groundhog Day.
