50-Year-Old Roberto Carlos Fernandes is lucky to be alive after a freak runaway flew off a car on a nearby road and knocked him out cold when it hit him in the back of the head.
Mr Fernandes was walking down a street in Brazil with his wife when the tire smacked him in the back of the head. He was taken to a hospital after suffering a fractured chest and a fractured skull according to journalist Gil Souza.
Souza said
“Witnesses said that the vehicle was carrying a trailer and the tire came loose form the axles on the back of that. This was a freak accident where the wheel struck him at the exact moment where his head was.”
Mr Fernandes is currently being treated at Marcio Marcio Cunha in the city after he was released from intensive care.
