Listen: North Korea’s ‘doomsday’ weapon the mainstream media never talks about

North Korea has been making a lot of noise about their plans to hit the US with an “super-powerful” EMP or electro-magnetic pulse weapon which would knock out the electricity grid for an “indefinite period” of time.
At a US Homeland Security hearing last week, experts told Congress that North Korea is capable of launching an EMP attack on the United States and warned government officials not to ignore the “doomsday scenario.”
Chairman Dr. William R. Graham and Chief of Staff Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse Attack, said that such a weapon could “shut down the electric power grid for an indefinite period, leading to the death within a year of up to 90 percent of all Americans.” But some critics have dismissed the report, claiming that the “90 percent” figure was based on a popular novel titled, “One Second After.”
Dr. Pry joins Jacki Daily in this podcast to rebut the dismissive claims. Not one to mince words, Jacki asks, “Is it true that the 90 percent figure came from a science fiction novel?”
“I provide testimony from Dr. Graham and other EMP commissioners who talk about the United States losing up to 90 percent of its population from starvation, disease and societal collapse. This is a result of deep study by the Congressional EMP Commission. It’s not derived from a novel. And yet, that claim, that lie keeps popping up in the press,” said Dr. Pry.
“The Congressional EMP Commission has been warning for years that North Korea probably has a super-EMP weapon … and a couple of years later, right on the money, they did test. Their first test in 2006 looked very much like a super-EMP weapon. A super-weapon EMP actually looks different from the big hydrogen bomb North Korea just tested. It actually has a very small yield. It’s a small weapon, it doesn’t need a big explosion. It’s designed to put out gamma rays which is what creates the EMP effect … the mainstream media never talks about that, but it’s one of the concerns the EMP Commission has had and has been trying to warn about.”
