Despite the fact that Muslims still comprise the largest segment of the FBI Terror Watch List, the FBI is now focusing more on Catholics as potential terrorists
According to former FBI agent and whistleblower, Kyle Seraphin, “The FBI has found a gateway in what they think is fringe Catholicism in order to move into Christians in general and declare them to be the actual criminals in this country or the potential terrorists.”
Seraphin’s comment was in reference to a leaked internal document from the FBI’s Richmond, VA field office in which that field office vowed to spy on “radical traditionalist Catholics and their ideology.”
He also commented on how the FBI justifies going after those faithful Christians, saying “a preference for the Catholic Mass in Latin instead of the vernacular and a number of more traditional views on other world religions can amount to an ‘adherence to anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ and white supremacist ideology.’”
The whole document basically is written from the perspective of somebody who thinks there are significant abortion rights that need to be defended and also an LGBTQ agenda that has to be pushed down the American people’s throats and these are antithetical to Catholicism.”

FOX NewsVirginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and 19 GOP state attorneys general are demanding answers from the FBI and Justice Department and threatening legal action after a leaked internal FBI memo revealed that the agency had efforts underway to identify and treat Catholics as “potential terrorists.”
Miyares and his colleagues, in a letter exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital, told the FBI and DOJ to “desist from investigating and surveilling Americans who have done nothing more than exercise their natural and constitutional right to practice their religion in a manner of their choosing” and asked that they “reveal to the American public the extent to which they have engaged in such activities.”
“Anti-Catholic bigotry appears to be festering in the FBI, and the Bureau is treating Catholics as potential terrorists because of their beliefs,” the AGs wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland. The AGs state that after defining which Catholics are the dangerous ones, the memo proposes dealing with the bad Catholics through “the development of sources with access,” including in “places of worship.”
