Guest post by released J6 Political Prisoner JAMES TATE GRANT
James Tate Grant was present at the “initial breach” on January 6th, feet away from Ray Epps. An outspoken conservative and graduate with honors in political science – James had plans to be in law school on a merit scholarship.
Ironically, instead of a 3-year degree in law, he was sentenced to 3 years in federal prison and 3 years of probation – all for pushing a fence that the government eventually admitted did not touch anyone.
They didn’t admit this until trial, as they tried to coerce the law student into signing a 89-108 month plea deal for pushing a fence and trespassing.
Absurdly, this may have been the best possible outcome – as he faced up to 101 years in prison at trial. At sentencing, the government asked the judge to give James 9 years.
Finally out of the clutches of the weaponized federal government, James exposes everything wrong with January 6th in this epic video that went viral on X with over 200K views.
The government accused him of leading the crowd alongside Ryan Samsel. Having lived through years of persecution and torture, the ex-law student speaks out.
As a first-hand witness, James speaks out everything wrong with January 6th – and why he believes every January 6th defendant deserves a pardon.

In the video, James starts by highlighting the media’s enormous and seemingly coordinated lie: that police officers were murdered that day. This complete fabrication was echoed by President Biden and Vice President Harris as recently as 2024.
He goes on to point out the government’s reluctance to pursue Ray Epps criminally. Grant says he was feet away when he heard Epps whisper “We need more people” to his codefendant. Epps even wrote to his son in a text, “I orchestrated it.”
Yet, Ray Epps wasn’t charged with the infamous 1512 Obstruction of an Official Proceeding felony charge that so many J6ers were charged with.
Grant also shows footage taken from January 6th showing people changing their clothes in the bushes. The only plausible explanation is that they were Antifa agitators or undercovers.
New evidence reveals what many in the J6 community already knew. The report states that there were at least 26 undercover FBI agents in the crowd that day.
James speaks on the massive double standards that January 6th defendants suffered. A Pro-Palestinian rioter punched a female Capitol police officer in the face. He was given just 48 hours of community service.

With absurd comparisons like that, how can anyone be opposed to freeing and pardoning ALL January 6th hostages?
Going further, Grant shows multiple instances of severe police brutality – including those that resulted in the deaths of Ashli Babbit, Roseanne Boyland, and 2 other patriots.
Rarely before has anyone laid bare all the inconsistencies and double standards of January 6th like this – and by a January 6th defendant, no less.
James informed us that TikTok took this video down and banned his account. Originally, they claimed it was due to the graphic footage. When James removed that part and reposted it, Tiktok then claimed it was due to “misinformation”.
We fail to see anything false that was posted in that video – but we all know how big-tech censorship works.
Even worse, James’ account was banned for posting this video privately.
These days, James is struggling to make the most of his life after years of incarceration. has no car and must meet the constant demands of supervised federal probation.
He has expressed his dream to return to law school – citing that this experience made him want to practice law more than anything.
James is engaged in multiple lawsuits against the media to clear his name. They cannot begin until they receive $10,000 payment. However, this fee would be returned in any possible settlement. The funds need to be raised by December 30th.
James wants you to know that he plans to return any donations in the event his lawsuit is successful – and it will be!
