President Obama made headlines Monday when he said during his remarks at COP21 that the climate change conference taking place in Paris is an “act of defiance” against terrorists who attacked the city earlier this month. Later on the same day, Bill Nye took that link a step further, explaining to HuffPost Live that the brutality in Paris was “a result of climate change.”

“You can make a very reasonable argument that climate change is not that indirectly related to terrorism,” said Nye, who discusses global warming at length in his new book Unstoppable. “This is just the start of things. The more we let [climate change] go on, the more trouble there’s going to be.”

Nye’s reasoning hinges on a water shortage in Syria, which researchers have blamed on climate change. As Nye explained, the shortage has stunted farming and pushed young people to look for work in more densely populated areas.

“Young people have gone to big cities looking for work. There’s not enough work for everybody, so the disaffected youths, as we say — the young people who don’t believe in the system, believe the system has failed, don’t believe in the economy — are more easily engaged and more easily recruited by terrorist organizations, and then they end up part way around the world in Paris shooting people,” Nye said.

State Department 'troubled' by Moscow's move against Soros groups

Well, Soros groups have been kicked out of Russia by Putin and the State Department has TIME TO BE "TROUBLED" FOR THAT?!??

The same idiots that warn us of terror danger worldwide -- the same idiots who are importing THOUSANDS of Muslim 'refugees' is worried about Putin kicking SOROS GROUPS OUT OF THE COUNTRY?

The U.S. State Department says it is “troubled” by Russia’s decision to ban two of liberal billionaire George Soros' pro-democracy charities and label the organizations a threat to national security.

“Today’s designation of the Open Society Foundations and the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation as so-called ‘undesirable’ organizations will only further restrict the work of civil society in Russia for the benefit of the Russian people,” State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Monday. “This action is yet another example of the Russian Government’s growing crackdown on independent voices and a deliberate step to further isolate the Russian people from the world.”

A spokesperson from Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office said the activities of the fund are threats to state security and the Russian constitution, Radio Free Europe reports.

The Open Society Foundations said in a statement on its website that it was “dismayed” by the decision.

“Contrary to the Russian prosecutor’s allegations, the Open Society Foundations have, for more than a quarter-century, helped to strengthen the rule of law in Russia and protect the rights of all,” the statement read.

Prosecutors started investigating the charity fund in July after Russian senators flagged a list of 12 groups that required a closer look over their supposed anti-Russian activities, RT reports.

Other groups on the list include the National Endowment for Democracy, the International Republican Institute, the MacArthur Foundation and Freedom House.

Once a group in Russia is recognized as “undesirable,” its assets in the country must be frozen, its offices closed and the distribution of any of its materials is outlawed, RT reports.

Violators of the ban could face heavy fines and jail time.

UGH: Obama says United States Caused Global Warming

Obama basically apologized today for the US causing Global Warming/Climate Change or whatever you want to call it. Here’s what he said:

“I’ve come here personally, as the leader of the world’s largest economy and the second-largest emitter to say that the United States of America not only recognizes our role in creating this problem, we embrace our responsibility to do something about it.”

Here’s the irony of Obama’s Climate Change talks that no one wants to talk about:

Those 50,000 people will come from as far as Auckland, New Zealand and as near as Paris itself. If you add up all the Bangkoks, Bermudas, Cape Towns, Sydneys, Santiagos, Samoas, Jakartas, Singapores, and Stockholms in between, the average distance per traveler is about 9,000 miles, round trip.

Those people will arrive on trains, cars, but mostly airplanes. When flown at full capacity (and the airline industry being what it is, and the Paris meetings being what they are, there’s little reason to think the planes will be anything but packed), a Boeing 747 (a happy medium between private jets and bullet trains) gets about 16.5 miles per gallon of jet fuel. Between 50,000 attendees, that’s about 27 million gallons of the stuff.

When burned, every one of those 27 million gallons of jet fuel releases about 21 pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Added up, all those planes flying to the Paris climate talks will release about 575 million pounds of CO2.

Government Report: Congress Will Block Obama’s Paris Climate Deal

I hope that congress has some big " Balls" and holds there ground on their promise here!

Lawmakers will withhold more than $3 billion pledged by administration

Congress will exert its ability to block any agreements made by the Obama administration at the Conference of Parties climate change summit by withholding more than $3 billion in taxpayer funds promised by the Obama administration to certain countries, according to an in-depth government report published Tuesday by the Senate’s Environmental and Public Works Committee, which provides oversight on climate issues.

While President Barack Obama has maintained that parts of the climate agreement must be legally binding, Congress says that it is not on board with the agreement and will exert its legislative authority to block it, according to a 40-page white paper published by the Senate committee on Tuesday.

Some in Congress claim that the COP21 summit, which began on Monday, is a waste of taxpayer money and will result in agreements that harm the U.S. economy. In the white paper, the Senate committee vows to take all necessary action to block Obama’s agreements from being implemented

“This White Paper makes clear that the United States will not be a party to any agreement that sets targets or timetables for [Green House Gas] reductions, nor will the United States provide taxpayer dollars to a [United Nations] slush fund for foreign bureaucrats without congressional approval,” the committee states in the document. “Without approval from Congress, the president’s commitments will be little more than a press release.”

There is no way for the Obama administration to enforce any of the agreements made during the summit, according to the report.

“Rather than work with Congress, President Obama has chosen to go-it-alone to ‘decarbonize’ the American economy through unilateral executive actions that will not stand the test of time,” it states. “While this may serve to polish President Obama’s reputation among the environmental activist community, it will not result in a binding international agreement or meaningfully impact global temperatures.”

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R., Okla.), the committee’s chairman, said in a statement that the document provides a window into Obama’s “radical climate agenda.”

“As the president urges action to fulfill his personal climate legacy in Paris, the American people and their representatives in Congress have strongly voiced opposition to any deal that is reached and will not tolerate American tax dollars being used for an economically disastrous policy,” Inhofe said. “This potluck approach to international policy will not accomplish anything substantial.”

Infhofe says Obama’s pledge of reducing green house gasses by 26 to 28 percent “doesn’t even add up to what it claims” and will have no “measurable impact on curbing global temperatures or curtailing global warming.”

This benchmark is “unlikely to be fully implemented” as a result of current litigation challenging it and various “policy objections,” according to the report

“President Obama’s international climate financing pledge of $3 billion to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) for developing countries is not supported by Congress,” the report continues.

Congress also has taken issue with the administration’s failure to be fully transparent about the COP21 agreement.

“The Obama Administration has failed to be fully transparent and forthcoming with the American people, Congress, and the international community regarding U.S. actions,” the report states. “Other countries appear to be using the COP-21 process as a way to bolster their own domestic coffers, at the expense of the American people.”

Doctors Pan Obamacare in Survey

Half of physicians say health law has unfavorable impact on medical profession

A narrow majority of physicians say Obamacare has a negative impact on medical practice, including on the quality and cost of health care, according to a reportfrom the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The report found that 52 percent of physicians look on Obamacare as unfavorable to the general medical situation, while 48 percent say it is favorable.

According to the report, 36 percent of physicians said the Affordable Care Act had a negative impact on the medical practice overall. Only 23 percent said it had a positive impact. Thirty-one percent physicians said the healthcare law had no impact, and 9 percent said they were not sure if it had an impact.

Twenty-five percent of doctors said that Obamacare had a negative impact on the quality of patient care, while only 18 percent said it had a positive impact. Thirty-five percent said the healthcare law had a negative impact on the ability to meet patient demand, and only 10 percent said it had a positive impact in this regard.

Finally, 44 percent of physicians said Obamacare had a negative impact on the cost of patient health care and only 21 percent said it had a positive impact.

“There is frustration about higher cost to patients, out-of-pocket costs, and many high deductible plans,” said Dr. Wanda Filer, president of the American Academy of Family Physicians. “Also, it is some patients’ first time having insurance and they are facing premiums and deductibles and not sure how it works and some have to educate patients.”

When it came to access to health care and insurance across the country, more physicians were positive about the health law’s impact. Forty-eight percent of physicians said they had positive feelings about Obamacare in this regard, and only 24 percent reported a negative impression.

“We are finding a lot of our members are noticing a positive impact on patient access to healthcare and to insurance,” said Filer. “Six of 10 physicians say they are seeing more newly insured patients. Now more uninsured patients are seeing more access to primary and preventive care.”

The report suggested that doctors are frustrated by the administrative requirements generated by the law.

“Many providers feel that the amount of time they have with each patient and the time they spend on insurance administration issues have gotten worse,” states the report. “Four of 10 physicians and more than a third of midlevel providers said the amount of time they have available to spend with each patient has gotten worse since January 2014.”

“There are a lot of frustrations regarding changes in private sector,” said Filer. “There is a sense of frustration regarding a lot more administrative work to confirm coverage, who are they covered by, and so there are a lot more dealings with insurance.”

According to the report, many physicians are pessimistic about the future of healthcare. Nearly half said they would not advise a young person to pursue a career in primary care.

According to a report for the Manhattan Institute, there will be a significant shortage of primary-care physicians in the next decade due to the expansion of Obamacare, population growth and demographic changes.

“We project that by 2025, the United States will experience a shortage of roughly 30,000 primary-care physicians—with about 16.5 percent (4,950 physicians) of this shortage being driven by the expansion of insurance coverage under Obamacare,” states the report.

The Department of Health and Human Services did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The Yuan Ascends to World Reserve Status: “Dollar System Being Done Away With”

Glenn Beck warned this could be happening. As stated it could kill the value of the dollar down the road.

Today’s news is a historic milestone. The dollar’s days are numbered, and the new globaleconomic order is shifting into place.

As many insiders have expected, China has now officially gained status among the worldreserve currencies, taking place alongside the dollar, the euro, the pound and the yen.

The IMF decided to grant this upgrade as a result of financial and monetary benchmarks that Chinese leaders worked towards during the past several years. Its implications run deep.

The International Monetary Fund on Monday, as expected, admitted China’s yuan into its benchmark currency basket in a victory for Beijing’s campaign for recognition as a globaleconomic power.

The IMF executive board’s decision to add the yuan, also known as the renminbi, to the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) basket alongside the dollar, euro, pound sterling and yen, is an important milestone in China’s integration into the global financial system and a nod to the progress it has made with reforms.

IMF chief Christine Lagarde, who along with in-house experts has previously backed the move, made it clear she did not expect Beijing to stop there.

“The yuan’s inclusion is a largely symbolic move, with few immediate implications for financial markets. But it is the first time an additional currency has been added to the SDR basket and the biggest change in its composition in 35 years.

Below is IMF chief Christine Legarde’s statement on the new benchmark of global currency, and what will inevitably be a resettling for the people affected by it – not least the American people who could see a significant decline in their living standard after an era of economic supremacy that the United States has enjoyed since the end of WWII:

If America sees the worst case scenario, the dollar collapse will be the most devastating in history, and the results could be even worse than Germany suffered during the Weimar Republic era.

The Chinese renminbi will hold about 10% weight in the basket of currencies, with adjustments in the value of the euro, pound and yen to make room for it. Though the weight of the dollar, which holds 41.9% of global reserve value under the Special Drawing Rights (SDR), will not change with the inclusion of the renminbi, the symbolic challenge to dollar supremacy is obvious enough.

Last set in 2010, the basket is currently 41.9 percent dollar, 37.4 percent euro, 11.3 percent sterling and 9.4 percent yen. The yuan CNH= CNY= would not join until October 2016, allowing reserve managers time to prepare. (source)

The I.M.F. decision will help pave the way for broader use of the renminbi in trade and finance, securing China’s standing as a global economic power. But it also introduces new uncertainty into China’s economy and financial system, as the country was forced to relax many currency controls to meet the I.M.F. requirements.

The changes could inject volatility into the Chinese economy, since large flows of money surge into the country and recede based on its prospects. This could make it difficult for China to maintain its record of strong, steady growth, especially at a time when its economy is already slowing.

China’s leadership has made it a priority to join this group of currencies… The renminbi’s new status “will improve the international monetary system and safeguard global financial stability,” President Xi Jinping of China said in mid-November.

Though the official talking line is quick to suggest that China could actually be hurt by new pressures on its already struggling economy, the significance of the move is not the short term, but the turning of the tide.

The death of the dollar has been planned. Its global reign has been scheduled for termination. It is the end of days for the monopoly of global sales in U.S. petrodollars, a paradigm which has propped up an economy that has, in reality, been gutted out from underneath. Now the thin overlay of gloss and decadence is vulnerable to bursting, and starting a flood that the Federal Reserve won’t be able to stop by sticking its finger in the dam and digitally printing more and more money.

As many have discussed, the end of the dollar will be much more than symbolic once the full transition has taken place. The dollar has propped up an increasingly corrupt empire. And its fall, like that of the dinosaurs or the Soviets, will come crashing down on its own weight with a terrible thud.

The American people stand to become absolutely ruined; mobs of people could become destitute, and a dismal police state would keep order in a dreary new normal.

Tess Pennington has discussed these difficult times, which may be coming, in her The Prepper’s Blueprint noting that it won’t take much to upend society and just like Greece, if the debt bubble does burst it will have a direct and immediate impact on the normal flow of commerce:

Food, water, gasoline and medications are just a few of the items restocked weekly in order for our dependent society to maintain a steady flow. What many fail to grasp is just how fragile the system is and just how quickly it can collapse.

The report goes on to explain that consumer fear and panic will exacerbate shortages. News of a truck stoppage—whether on the local level, state or regional level, or nationwide—will spur hoarding and drastic increases in consumer purchases of essential goods. Shortages will materialize quickly and could lead to civil unrest.
