Rev. Al Sharpton is known as one of President Obama’s right hand men and not surprisingly, he’s also one of the biggest race-baiters that America has ever seen.
His National Action Network (NAN) recently came together to stage a protest in Washington, D.C. regarding inequality issues that Sharpton has been publicly discussing; however, things did not go as planned when this happened at the protest.
During the protest, black protesters were accused of discriminating against other protesters and of creating inequality issues among the group of activists by demanding that they show a VIP pass in order to enter the rally.
“When we first got there, two people from NAN told us that we needed a VIP pass or a press pass to sit on the ledge. If it is a protest, why do you need to have a VIP pass?,” one protester, Johnetta Elzie, remarked.
Elzie and a fellow protester, Erika Totten, took to the stage to loudly voice their concern over the VIP pass and the inequality it was creating among members of NAN.
“They gave us badges but didn’t write our names down,” another protester commented. “They never intended to let us speak. So when Erika said to follow her on stage, we did.”
That’s when the activists took to the stage and took over the microphone and voiced their concerns about the protest and Sharpton. Clearly, this is a huge embarrassment for Sharpton and proves that not all blacks revere Sharpton and his opinions.
Do you think Sharpton’s NAN should be shut down? Sound off in the comments below!
