Martin O’Malley’s Stalinist ‘Five-Year Plan’

Never heard of the guy to speak of but googled him. Liberal Progressives love him like Warren. This guy looks like he might run against Hillary.

There seem too be no limits to the economic ignorance and corruption of politicians in Maryland, a state that is plagued by the putrid D.C./government employee union culture that dominates politics in the state. The latest absurdity is that Governor Martin O’Malley, sounding a lot like an early twentieth-century communist, announced — get this — a new “Five Year Plan” for the state’s economy. This of course is the same language that Stalin usedfor his disastrous economic planning schemes in the early twentieth century. Are there no PR people working for the Democratic Party? Or is this an “in-your-face” rejection of economic freedom and embrace of its opposite, socialism? Probably the latter.

Comrade O’Malley’s Five-Year Plan is actually more like the variant of socialism known asfascism. Rather than pursuing their announced goal of egalitarianism by nationalizing industries, the fascists pursued socialism on the cheap by allowing private enterprise to exist, in name only, but regulated, regimented, and subsidized it so that the product of industry would only be that which was dictated by the state. Comrade O’Malley boasts that he consulted with 250 Maryland businesses before coming up with his Five-Year central plan. This suggests that those businesses will be lobbying for their share of corporate welfare. In return for the subsidies, the state will then control everything they do even more than it does now.

The government of Maryland has created what is arguably the worst business climate in America; what few genuinely private enterprises that are left in the state will now be the target of Comrade O’Malley and his fascistic Five-Year Plan.

Comrade O’Malley looked quite gleeful recently when he was photographed beginning the process of signing 707 new laws into existence at the end of the state’s annual looting spree (er, I mean, “legislative session”).  At that rate, Marylanders can look forward to the day, ten years from now, when there are more than 7,000 additional laws controlling all aspects of our lives (and our deaths), finally converting “The Free State” into “The Slave State.”
