(Angry Patriot Movement) – Donald Trump is already doing the work a president is supposed to do, with Barack Obama slamming him for being proud of the jobs he saved before taking office.
Obama challenged We the People to fact check him after he bragged about all the manufacturing jobs he supposedly saved or created while serving as the 44th U.S. president. So… we did… and the results definitely do not prove his bold claim.
“There were 805,000 manufacturing jobs that weren’t just protected or saved but actually created while President Obama was in office,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest claimed after lambasting Donald Trump’s job saver/creator abilities. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, cited by the Washington Post, there were 12.561 million manufacturing jobs in America when Obama took office in 2009.
As of November 2016, the latest job statistics available, there are now 12.26 million manufacturing jobs in the United States. Liberals must not be very good at math – those numbers represent a significant DECREASE in job growth.
While Obama was busy with his global apology tour, playing golf, taking vacations, and increasing the financial burden on middle class Americans with his Affordable Care Act, 300,000 manufacturing jobs disappeared. Josh Earnest really and truly needs to recheck his figures or stop trying to total large numbers using his fingers and toes as a counting aid.
The ONLY way Earnest and the Obama administration could come up with an 800,000 gain in manufacturing jobs is by manipulating the facts and cooking the books. The White House official appears to have begun counting job figures not when Obama actually took the helm, but one month and one year later when United States manufacturing jobs reached a record low.
In February 2010, there were only 11.453 million manufacturing jobs left in America. Obama’s liberal policies sure did a lot of damage in a short amount of time to cause such a shrinkage.
Losing 1.1 million blue collar jobs the first 13 months in office is definitely not something to brag about! That same manufacturing job statistic also shows there were 2.3 million fewer such available positions AFTER Obama was president than in December 2007 when the Great Recession began.
After being called out on the magical math, the Obama administration was full of excuses – and still stuck to their boastful job creation claims. Sounding like petulant children as liberals often do, the White House whined it is not fair to begin counting Obama’s economic prowess from the time he first took office.
They further claimed the economic free-fall Obama inherited took time to fix. “The president inherited an economy that was shedding manufacturing jobs at an alarming rate. The recession wiped out more than 2 million manufacturing jobs, devastating communities,” a White House official claimed when defending the job creation numbers.
Time to repair is one thing, but after being in office for more than a year, things actually got worse in America under the Obama regime.
