The Ku Klux Klan was a Democrat terrorist organization during the early 20th century which included several members from the Democratic Party.
The Senate heard testimony from Ronald Vitello the nominee to be the director of ICE.
Rronald Vitiello: The klan was considered a domestic terrorist group.
Kamala Harris: Why would be call them a domestic terrorist group?
Ronald Vitiello: Because they tried to use fear and force to try to change the political environment.
Kamala Harris: And what was the motivation for the fear of force?
Ronald Vitiello: It was based on race and ethnicity.
Kamala Harris: Right. Are you aware of the perception of about how the power and discretion of ICE is being used to enforce the laws ? And do you see any parallels?
