Illinois loses population for 5th year in a row

With that Big Bastard JB coming in in January and a Madigan Puppet he starts raising taxes and business and Corporate taxes and fuel and Carbon taxes we are SCREWED! I could see Caterpillar home office leaving Illinois. That would be tax money Gone. Then if they move more assembly lines out of Central Illinois they would be royally screwed. Good luck

The state of Illinois is still shedding people.
The U.S. Census Bureau lists Illinois second in the country for the most population loss, with 45,116 people leaving the state in 2018. Only New York saw a larger population loss, with 48,510 people moving away.
This marks the fifth consecutive year Illinois has seen a population loss. Illinois ranks sixth in the list of most populous states, with 12,741,080 people in 2018. California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Pennsylvania have higher populations.
The fastest-growing states by percentage in 2018 were Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Arizona and Florida.
