Democratic Representative Barbara Lee wants the UN to come into the United States to monitor the 2020 elections. Representative Lee believes that our election system is severely corrupt and that “voter suppression is alive and well.” Representative Lee, along with other Democrats, believes that voter ID laws are racist and an attempt at voter disenfranchisement.
They claim that it is harder for minorities to gain access to proper identification, making it an unnecessary burden on the individual’s right to vote.
These claims and assertions have been proven false on multiple occasions. In a video from 2016, Ami Horowitz asked African American residents in Harlem what they thought about the Democrats’ assertion that they do not have state ID’s (ie. driver licenses). Their responses all show what a joke this argument is; they all stated that they have an ID, it was easy to get, and that thinking that they don’t have access to getting ID’s is ignorant and racist.
If President Trump does win re-election, Representative Lee and others will now use the claim that voter intimidation and suppression were the reasons that he won. This is a constant false claim they use for Stacey Abrams’ loss.
Their inability to admit that they lose elections due to their poor policy stances is what led to the witch hunt that has morphed into the impeachment probe. This refusal to accept loss causes a chain reaction in which they accuse their opponents of breaking the law. Maybe if they get election participation trophies, they will stop fabricating crimes.
