TOI The London Metropolitan Police said Friday that it has charged 45-year-old Essa Suleiman with attempted murder following a Counter Terrorism Policing investigation into an antisemitic terror attack during which two Jewish men were stabbed on Wednesday. Iranian-backed Islamist group Ashab al-Yamin claimed responsibility for the attack.
Suleiman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place in relation to the attack, police said.“He tried to attack somebody else earlier in the day as well, and he fled the scene,” Mr Christys told Sky News host James Macpherson. “The police didn’t catch him. “And then he popped up in Golders Green and did what he did.”

Broadcaster Patrick Christys delivers a stark warning, telling viewers to “wake the heck up” as he reacts to the attack and speaks directly with members of the local Jewish community. Residents describe the real impact on their daily lives, painting a picture of a community shaken by violence and increasingly concerned about its safety.
Christys frames the attack as part of a wider pattern, warning that failure to act decisively could lead to further incidents and deeper divisions.
Suleiman has also been charged with attempted murder in relation to a separate incident earlier on the same day in south London, police said. Police said on Thursday that Suleiman was referred to the government’s counter-radicalization Prevent program in 2020, but his case was closed within six weeks.
After the alleged terrorist falls to the ground, the officers kick him multiple times in the head while a volunteer from the local Jewish security group Shomrim helps to pin him down.
One of the cops shouts at the suspect that he is being charged with attempted murder. The attack is the latest in a series of antisemitic incidents in the UK, many of which have taken place in and around Golders Green, where roughly 50% of the population is Jewish.
Another chilling video from Wednesday’s attack shows the suspect lunging at one of his victims, an elderly man, as he stood waiting at a bus stop. Both victims, a man in his 70s and a man in his 30s, were rushed to a nearby hospital, where their conditions were described as stable.
The attack is the latest in a series of antisemitic incidents in the UK, many of which have taken place in and around Golders Green, where roughly 50% of the population is Jewish.
This needs to be said: The problem with antisemitism in the UK is basically within the Muslim community and no one wants to talk about it.
