Ilhan Nur Said Elmi aka Ilhan Omar’s marriage application shows that she apparently wasn’t sure whether she should use her real name or fake name when filling out the application with her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, in 2009.
The Department of Justice identified Omar as “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar” in a recent court filing, revealing her real name for the first time.
It was later revealed by sources familiar with the investigation that “Ilhan Omar” is a fake alias used by Ilhan Nur Said Elmi to obtain citizenship in the year 2000, live in the country illegally, and run for office.
A former Minnesota federal immigration judge has said this could “call into question” every document she’s ever filled out with her fake name, Ilhan Omar.
Trump has highlighted the bombshell discovery during his recent midterm campaign rallies, saying the Somali fraudster should “immediately resign from Congress.”
Now, it’s being revealed that Omar struggled with whether she would take her the same name as her brother after the marriage, crossing out her name twice in the section labeled “COMPLETE NAMES OF PARTIES AFTER MARRIAGE.”
As seen on the 2009 marriage application obtained by the New York Post from Hennepin County, Minnesota, Omar appeared to write her last name first as “Omar.” She then crossed it out and wrote “Elmi.”
Then she crossed that out and settled on Omar.
Both of them also declare on the form that they are not related to each other by blood or adoption.

The federal government is still investigating Nur Said Elmi/Omar in a criminal fraud probe focused on her immigration and potentially her finances.
In a recent court filing, the Justice Department said that the investigation is “ongoing” and “no charging decision has been made,” while urging a federal judge to keep the search warrant under seal this week.
The filing also indicates that the search warrant has not been “fully executed.”
