February was black history month, and the only thing I learned was that white people enjoying soul food is super racist. Since it’s March now, I'm hoping I can now enjoy fried chicken and cornbread guilt free. Right?
In case you missed it, Barack and Michelle Obama decided to honor Trayvon Martin for black history month, despite his lack of civil rights activism or good deeds or anything. Apparently, he met the criteria just because he was killed by a “white Hispanic” who was acting in self-defense.
Yeah, I know the whole Trayvon Martin/ George Zimmerman thing is a touchy subject, but the fact remains that Zimmerman was found not guilty, and the liberal media absolutely refused to objectively look at Martin simply because he was black. So naturally, it was impossible he could have done anything wrong.
Yep. Race relations have never been better.
“Today, on the third anniversary of Trayvon Martin’s death, showing all of our kids, all of them, every single day, that their lives matter, that’s part of our task," Obama said. "I want to thank Trayvon’s parents for being here, on what’s a very difficult day for them.”
“It takes all of us to show our young people, as Ms. Atkins puts it, that where we are today didn’t come easy, it came through thick and thin. ‘That’s why I tell my children,’ she says, ‘To stand up for what’s right.'”
The black history month honoree, everybody.
