As the avalanche of companies removed their sponsorship from Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” at the behest of David Hogg and Media Matters, conservatives took to Twitter to defend Ingraham and remind everyone that they can play the boycott game too.
As of Thursday night, eight more advertisers had joined Rachael Ray’s Nutrish in pulling sponsorship from Ingraham’s show. Those companies include: Wayfair, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Nestle, Jos A Bank, Hulu, Johnson & Johnson, and Stitch Fix.
None of which sat well with conservatives on Twitter, who were quick to use the medium to blast Hogg and call for a boycott of their own – of the corporations that bailed on Ingraham.
This is the list of @IngrahamAngle sponsors that @davidhogg111 is bullying to drop her. I suggest her followers (over 2 million) RT this and flood them and @foxnews with calls of support. This liberal terrorism needs to be stopped. #LauraIngraham #FoxNews pic.twitter.com/7S2SKT7yTr— Alana Stewart (@AlanaKStewart) March 30, 2018
.@IngrahamAngle had the courtesy to apologize & yet this arrogant kid is still calling for a boycott. She needs to do what @seanhannity did and rally her supporters to bombard her sponsors with support for her. #LauraIngraham#davidhogg111 https://t.co/YlFcWAIyyC— Alana Stewart (@AlanaKStewart) March 30, 2018
Today I learned @Hulu caved to the harrassment, bullying and slander campaign of liberal activist @davidhogg111 and pulled ads from innocent TV Host @IngrahamAngle.Because of this decision, I have canceled my subscription and encourage ALL conservatives to do the same. pic.twitter.com/PUczrnKt4f— Mike Tokes (@MikeTokes) March 30, 2018
You may not like what Ingraham said. You may disagree with it. I did. But it isn’t remotely CLOSE to the level of viciousness with which Hogg has attacked people who disagree with him.— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) March 29, 2018
I was Hogg’s age when I started writing a syndicated column. I got hammered repeatedly — and some of it was justified. When you join the public discourse, you take on slings and arrows. That’s even more true if you decide to maliciously malign your opponents, as Hogg has.— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) March 29, 2018
Boycott every #snowflake company that drops Ingraham! #BoycottTripAdvisor#BoycottNestle#BoycottWayfairWe don’t need to buy goods and services from companies pandering to the Left.— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) March 29, 2018
He’s not throwing stones at intemperate political rhetoric. He’s throwing stones at refusing an apology on the hypocritical grounds that somehow Hogg has been a paragon of reasonable discourse which he has not.— Ben (@BenHowe) March 29, 2018
I really don’t get this chain of events. Hogg tweeted about being rejected from college. Ingraham shared a story about it, so Hogg apparently somehow successfully gets these companies to boycott her. For pointing out something he tweeted. And also apologized for. pic.twitter.com/LyHU2ydWC0— Ashley Rae (@Communism_Kills) March 29, 2018
Crazy thought: what if we all just ignored David Hogg?— Matt Walsh (@MattWalshBlog) March 29, 2018
Finally, former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clark had a message for Ingraham about apologizing to liberals:
NEVER apologize to the left. EVER! They view that as a sign of weakness/capitulation and go for the jugular. They NEVER stop advancing. When will we learn that? And 4 Easter? Left doesn’t believe in GOD or that Jesus rose from the dead for our sins. #MAGA. https://t.co/90JtAa15q6— David A. Clarke, Jr. (@SheriffClarke) March 29, 2018
