Barack Obama has lamented that he is not a dictator- several times:
King: “My cabinet has been working very hard on trying to get it done, but ultimately, I think somebody said the other day, I am president, I am not king,” Obama toldUnivision in October 2010, when asked why he had yet to achieve comprehensive immigration reform. “I can’t do these things just by myself.” He reiterated that sentiment in a February 2013 interview with Telemundo. “I’m not a king,” he said.President of China: “Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China,” the New York Times reported in March 2011.Emperor of the United States: “This is something I’ve struggled with throughout my presidency,” Obama said during a Google hangout event in February. “The problem is that I’m the president of the United States, I’m not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed.”
“My job is to execute laws that are passed”? If you’ll forgive me, bullshit.
Want to see and hear another hysterically huge lie?
With each day this regime edges closer and closer to totalitarianism. Barack Obama lies constantly and with fluidity without fear of accountability. He unilaterally rewrites history and rewrites existing laws. He drops slam dunk prosecutions and refuses to pursue those who commit Obamacare fraud. Convicted felons can become Obamacare navigators as becoming an Obamacare navigator requires no background check and virtually anyone working with these navigators is ripe for identity theft. Apparently any sort of scum and villainy can become Obamacare navigators. He jailed a video maker for the attacks in Benghazi. Harry Harry Reid just cleared the way for Obama torule via regulation. Obama has a past history of making sealed records public in order to impair opponents. Hecooked the census books and used the IRS to suppress conservatives to win the 2012 election. The Obama regimespies on and intimidates reporters.
When we first heard Obama’s “I am not a dictator,” as we noted Friday, it reminded us of Nixon’s “I am not a crook.” But on further reflection, Clinton’s “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” is a more apt comparison. Of course Obama is not attempting to cover up wrongful behavior, but he did answer Yellin’s question in a weirdly literal way that was both a deflection and a revelation. It’s true, of course, that Obama isn’t a dictator. He also seems to point that out a lot, as National Review’s Andrew Stiles observes. Last month, for example, he noted that “I’m the president of the United States, I’m not the emperor of the United States” and called this a “problem” that he has “struggled with throughout my presidency.”It seems Obama wishes he had dictatorial powers. He probably enjoyed that little fantasy of having the Secret Service take his adversaries prisoner.
Obama is such a low life that he lied about his mother’s death and her experience with insurance companies to further his agenda and get elected.
Democrats want Obama to rule via Executive Order:
In an interview last night with NY1, the congressman praised Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s decision to push through the so-called “nuclear option” to end filibusters on most presidential nominees. But he lamented the fact the work-around could not be used for legislation, suggesting the president turn to the executive orders–like the kind used to end the deportation many people who’d entered the country illegally as children.
If Obama and democrats don’t like a law, they simply ignore it. Obama’s delays of the ACA are probably illegal, as is his “fix.”
This is a good backdrop to help understand that the blatant disregard democrats have for the Constitution and the law is most certainly going to continue in the future, and that includes elections. The next two elections- 2014 and 2016- are the most critical elections in history. It is no exaggeration to say that future of the United States as afunctional democratic republic hinges on it. Hillary Clinton is the next presumed novelty candidate. There is one man who represents the single greatest risk to Hillary Clinton in her Sherman’s March to the White House.
Scott Walker.
Scott Walker is a very capable politician. Nick Schulz:
While the clash over collective bargaining garnered national attention, Walker has additional accomplishments to highlight. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which opposed Walker’s collective bargaining reforms, recently noted, “The governor did balance the budget … he did reduce the structural deficit significantly; he did put a lid on property tax increases; he did give schools and municipalities more control over their budgets than they’ve had in years.”What’s more, the reforms pushed by Walker are themselves already having a beneficial effect. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was Walker’s opponent in the 2010 election and later attacked his proposals to reform collective bargaining. But with the reforms on the books, Barrett used some of the bill’s provisions to help reduce the city’s health care bill, saying that the alternative was to cut 300 to 400 city jobs.
Governor Walker was extremely impressive, both in the substance of what he said and the style with which he said it.As for the substance, I’ll simply mention that Wisconsin, thanks to Governor Walker, is the only state whose pension plan is 100% funded. Its neighbor Illinois, by contrast, faces the terrifying prospect of a state pension plan that is some 43% funded. Where’s the money going to come from? When Governor Walker assumed office, he faced horrendous deficits, but he declined to raise taxes. Illinois, by contrast, raised personal income taxes by 67% and business taxes by 46%.Fat lot of good it did them. Business and high net-worth individuals are fleeing the state to more welcoming venues, like Wisconsin.Governor Walker’s chief accomplishment, though — the great thing he did for the state and the thing that drove the Left nationwide into a frenzy of rage — was facing down the public-sector unions. By now, it is obvious to all who have eyes to see that by so doing, Governor Walker did a big favor not only to the ordinary residents and taxpayers of Wisconsin but also to the unions themselves. Had he not instituted his reforms, many, many union jobs would have been lost.
Scott Walker appeared on Morning Joe several days ago. Watch how well he parries the challenges, especially those from the weaselly Steven Rattner.
Walker comes off, well, presidential. And now, he is under attack.
Americans learned in the IRS political targeting scandal that government enforcement power can be used to stifle political speech. Something similar may be unfolding in Wisconsin, where a special prosecutor is targeting conservative groups that participated in the battle over Governor Scott Walker’s union reforms. In recent weeks, special prosecutor Francis Schmitz has hit dozens of conservative groups with subpoenas demanding documents related to the 2011 and 2012 campaigns to recall Governor Walker and state legislative leaders.Copies of two subpoenas we’ve seen demand “all memoranda, email . . . correspondence, and communications” both internally and between the subpoena target and some 29 conservative groups, including Wisconsin and national nonprofits, political vendors and party committees. The groups include the League of American Voters, Wisconsin Family Action, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, Americans for Prosperity—Wisconsin, American Crossroads, the Republican Governors Association, Friends of Scott Walker and the Republican Party of Wisconsin. One subpoena also demands “all records of income received, including fundraising information and the identity of persons contributing to the corporation.” In other words, tell us who your donors are.
Secret probes. Guilty until proven innocent. Gestapo and KGB tactics.
The probe began in the office of Milwaukee County Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf, though no one will publicly claim credit for appointing Mr. Schmitz, the special prosecutor. The investigation is taking place under Wisconsin’s John Doe law, which bars a subpoena’s targets from disclosing its contents to anyone but his attorneys. John Doe probes work much like a grand jury, allowing prosecutors to issue subpoenas and conduct searches, while the gag orders leave the targets facing the resources of the state with no way to publicly defend themselves. That makes it hard to confirm any details. But one target who did confirm receiving a subpoena is Eric O’Keefe, who realizes the personal risk but wants the public to know what is going on. Mr. O’Keefe is director of the Wisconsin Club for Growth, which advocates lower taxes, limited government and other conservative priorities. He has worked in political and policy circles for three decades, including stints as national director of the Libertarian Party in 1980 and a director of the Cato Institute, and he helped to found the Center for Competitive Politics, which focuses on protecting political speech.Mr. O’Keefe says he received his subpoena in early October. He adds that at least three of the targets had their homes raided at dawn, with law-enforcement officers turning over belongings to seize computers and files.
It is an effort to criminalize donation of money to the Walker campaign by conservatives.
The kitchen-sink subpoenas deserve skepticism considering their subject and targets. The disclosure of conservative political donors has become a preoccupation of the political left across the country. In the heat of the fight over Governor Walker’s reforms, unions urged boycotts of Walker contributors and DemocraticUnderground.com published a list of Walker donors for boycotting. The subpoena demand for the names of donors to nonprofit groups that aren’t legally required to disclose them is especially troubling. Readers may recall that the Cincinnati office of the IRS sent the tax-exempt applications of several conservative groups to the ProPublica news website in 2012.
If this all sounds familiar, it ought to. These same Nazi-esque tactics were used against Mitt Romney. The donors were outed, they were singled out for ridicule by Barack Obama, who then used the IRS to persecute them.
Try this thought experiment: You decide to donate money to Mitt Romney. You want change in the Oval Office, so you engage in your democratic right to send a check.Several days later, President Barack Obama, the most powerful man on the planet, singles you out by name. His campaign brands you a Romney donor, shames you for “betting against America,” and accuses you of having a “less-than-reputable” record. The message from the man who controls the Justice Department (which can indict you), the SEC (which can fine you), and the IRS (which can audit you), is clear: You made a mistake donating that money.Richard Nixon’s “enemies list” appalled the country for the simple reason that presidents hold a unique trust. Unlike senators or congressmen, presidents alone represent all Americans. Their powers—to jail, to fine, to bankrupt—are also so vast as to require restraint. Any president who targets a private citizen for his politics is de facto engaged in government intimidation and threats. This is why presidents since Nixon have carefully avoided the practice.Save Mr. Obama, who acknowledges no rules. This past week, one of his campaign websites posted an item entitled “Behind the curtain: A brief history of Romney’s donors.” In the post, the Obama campaign named and shamed eight private citizens who had donated to his opponent. Describing the givers as all having “less-than-reputable records,” the post went on to make the extraordinary accusations that “quite a few” have also been “on the wrong side of the law” and profiting at “the expense of so many Americans.”These are people like Paul Schorr and Sam and Jeffrey Fox, investors who the site outed for the crime of having “outsourced” jobs. T. Martin Fiorentino is scored for his work for a firm that forecloses on homes. Louis Bacon (a hedge-fund manager), Kent Burton (a “lobbyist”) and Thomas O’Malley (an energy CEO) stand accused of profiting from oil. Frank VanderSloot, the CEO of a home-products firm, is slimed as a “bitter foe of the gay rights movement.”
This is without question being orchestrated from the top. I said at the beginning, this is about more than Scott Walker. It is about freedom in this country and right now, that freedom is under siege. The Constitution is being trampled so that Barack Obama can steer this nation into a left wing socialist dictatorship in which government dictates what you need, what you want and what you will do. The proof is already here. democrats lied through their teeth to lure Americans to vote for Obama. Had America known the truth, Obama would have lost the last election. democrats knew this, so they lied. Over and over and over.
I wrote here that Obama is a sociopath. I wrote here that you’d be an idiot to believe anything Obama says. I also posed the question- what kind of low life lies about his mother’s death for cheap political points? There is nothing a man who lies about his mother’s life and death won’t lie about. Nothing.
It’s all come to pass.
“That means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health-care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health-care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”
Nothing he says is trustworthy. Nothing democrats say is trustworthy. Nothing. When they tell you have nothing to worry about, you’d better worry. If you think otherwise, you’ll also believe that you can keep your plan and your doctor. The stage is being set for taking control of the US by the left and stamping out any opposition. The manner in which this is being implemented has been spelled out for you and it is not some abstract. It IS happening. Some of you will still find that unbelievable. Osama Bin Laden’s minions were able to hijack passenger jets and fly them into buildings for one simple reason.
No one would have believed that could ever happen either.
Outing of opposition donors, followed by ridicule and IRS persecution. Republicans are being deprived of their right to vote and their right to free speech. It happened once already and it’s happening again right now. As you watch Obama and Reid and Pelosi chip away at the Constitution one brick at a time, don’t forget that. You’d be an idiot to do so. The country’s future as a democratic republic is at stake.
The outcome of one presidential election has been altered by Obama’s lies and Obama’s IRS intimidation. It cannot happen again.
