Biden Unbound: Three idiotic statements from Malarkey Joe just this week

With impeachment drawing headlines, and Bernie Sanders sucking all the air out of the room with socialist schemes, Joe Biden is back to making gaffes, except that in this age of fantastical impeachment charges and unreal socialist schemes, gaffes are just business as usual.

Here are three idiocies from Biden this week, and this was just Tuesday:

Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed on Tuesday that illegal immigrants in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program are "more American than most Americans" because they had "done well in school."

Biden, who recently said he believed drunk driving should not be crime that warrants deportation, made the statement during a campaign rally in Ames, Iowa.

Fact-check for old Joe: DACA recipients as a whole are underachievers, ranking well below most Americans in academic achievement, including learning English, as well as adherence to rule of law.

Here's what a Harvard study found:

In an ongoing study called the National UnDACAmented Research Project, Harvard researcher Roberto G. Gonzalez has surveyed more than 2,000 self-identified DACA recipients about their education levels. He found that 22 percent have earned a bachelor's degree, compared to about 32 percent of all Americans who hold a bachelor's degree, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Gonzalez also found that 21 percent of DACA recipients have dropped out of high school, far above the national dropout rate of 5.9 percent, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

Educational attainment worsens when the profile is expanded to include the entire group of illegal immigrants that would have been eligible for DACA. The New American Economy, a nonpartisan immigration reform group, analyzed 2013–2015 American Community Survey (ACS) data and found that 17 percent of 1.3 million DACA-eligible immigrants have earned a bachelor's degree or higher.

Harvard's Gonzalez, who supports DACA as a way for illegal immigrants to become productive members of society, concedes that media portrayals tend to overstate the educational attainment of Dreamers as a whole.

A new report about crimes committed by illegals finds that younger undocumented immigrants [sic; should be "illegal aliens" —ed.] who were eligible for former President Obama's DACA amnesty program commit far more crimes than other immigrants or U.S. citizens.

In unearthing rare data that details the crimes and sentences of illegals in Arizona, the Crime Prevention Research Center reported that immigrants age 15-35, the general population of the 700,000 in Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, "commit crime at twice the rate of young U.S. citizens."

But there's more wrong with that statement from Biden than just simple facts about DACA recipients, a disproportionate chunk of whom are the dregs of the Earth.

He's calling DACA recipients, whose premise for being here is illegality, more American than we are, despite flag-wavers like this.  Remember Indira Esparza, the DACA recipient who showed her gratitude to the U.S. for paying for her pricey education by waving the Mexican flag at her graduation?  Or how about these guys who are certain to become DACA recipients — barreling over the border wall for the cameras, Honduran flag waving, middle fingers flashing?  We've got those, too.  So much for "more American than we are."  It's an insult on its face.

And let's look at another problem from Ordinary Joe.  Suppose academic achievement really were the standard for American-ness?  Does that make anyone who isn't an academic type less than American?  A truck-driver or a coal miner who helps keep the country moving somehow has less reason to belong here than a welfare-scarfing illegal who arrived yesterday?  And all those overachievers in China are somehow more American than we are?  Why isn't he advocating letting them all in?  It's an amazing insult to genuine Americans.

And actually, he seems to have a soft spot for China so maybe best to not give him any ideas.

Which brings us to Gaffe Two, from Breitbart News:

Former Vice President Joe Biden once again ridiculed the notion that the United States should take a tougher stance against China amid fresh revelations that the 2020 Democrat's youngest son, Hunter Biden, forged lucrative business agreements with mysterious Chinese firms.

"We talk about China as our competitor, we should be helping and benefiting ourselves by doing that," Biden told supporters during a Tuesday campaign event in Ames, Iowa. "But the idea that China is going to eat our lunch — It's like I remember the debates in the late nineties — remember Japan was going to own us? Give me a break."

Biden argues that China wouldn't dream of eating our lunch despite doing just that to dozens of countries in the Third World, particularly in Africa and Latin America, effectively enacting economic colonial takeovers.  Here's one:

China may be preparing to seize some major assets in the African nation of Kenya, as a result of debt-trap diplomacy.

African media reports that Kenya may soon be forced to relinquish control of its largest and most lucrative port in Mombasa to Chinese control.

Other assets related to the inland shipment of goods from the port, including the Inland Container Depot in Nairobi, and the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), may also be compromised in the event of a Chinese port takeover.

Kenya has reportedly taken extremely large loans from the Communist government for the development of some major highways, and especially for the SGR, which forms a crucial transport link to and from Nairobi for the import and export of goods through Mombasa.

Here's another:

The New York Times has a superb (albeit stomach-churning) report about how Ecuador sold itself out as a vassal of China, getting for itself a junk dam that is already collapsing, and turning over 80% of its oil production to the communist behemoth in order to pay its massive, massive debts from it. That, in exchange for scrapping its military ties to the U.S. and skipping out on its tab with western banks.

And whoa, wait, here's another, Wall Street Journal here:

In a sharp shift from attitudes just two years ago, when China was seen as a potential partner in maintaining global rules and institutions following President Trump's election, the EU's executive arm labeled Beijing an "economic competitor" in critical fields such as the development of 5G networks and a "systemic rival" politically.

The assertions, made in a European Commission strategy paper that could stir unease among China's allies in the bloc, put Brussels' approach toward Beijing closer to the U.S. assessment of China as a major strategic rival.  Under Mr. Trump, U.S.-China ties have been roiled by trade fights, tensions over North Korea and Beijing's regional ambitions.

EU officials said European attitudes toward China had changed because of its failure to open its markets, its use of subsidies to create corporate champions, its actions in the South China Sea and its push for dominance in technology and telecommunications sectors.

It's like Biden never reads the news, has no idea about China's debt-trap diplomacy policy, its ambitions in the South China Sea, its tentacles into Hollywood, or its latest bid to spy on us through Huawei's 5G technology. The social credit system means nothing to him, the dissident abuse in Xinjiang and Hong Kong never register with him, and the forced abortions and harvesting of organs from prisoners are a bridge too far.

President Trump has confronted the tyrannical behemoth for its practices and actually forced some kinds of change from the brutes. But Joe remains stuck in 1990. Tuesday he said, "They're not bad folks, folks…" 

So much for Mister Foreign Policy. Breitbart points out that the irony of this stupid statement is that it was made on the same day that Peter Schweizer's new book, "Profiles in Corruption," unveiling new information about Biden's dirty China business deals, came out.  Way to draw attention to yourself, Joe.

But he was not done, and that brings us to Gaffe Three. According to the Washington Examiner:

2020 Democratic front-runner Joe Biden said his administration would fire Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who arrest and deport illegal immigrants who are not guilty of felony crimes, adding that he doesn't "count drunk driving as a felony."

The former vice president made the comments at a Vice News forum on minority issues in Des Moines, Iowa, on Monday evening.

Way to win them over among the lawmen, Ordinary Joe. So much for the Irish cop thing. He actually said this:

"You change the culture by saying you are going to get fired. You are fired if, in fact, you do that. You only arrest for the purpose of dealing with a felony that's committed, and I don't count drunk driving as a felony," he added.

Which sounds great if you're a typically illegal drunk driver, not so great if you're dead, a burn victim, or in a wheelchair from an encounter with an illegally here drunk driver. Illegal aliens have killed thousands of Americans on the roads while driving drunk. ICE itself, whose agents will now be subject to arrest if Joe ever gets into power, reported that the illegals it arrested in Fiscal 2018 had a combined total of more than 80,000 drunk driving arrests between them. Joe doesn't actually have protecting Americans on the agenda.

And in light of Hunter Biden's doings, it sounds as though he's been enabling the substance-abusing Junior all along. He's obviously never had "an intervention" if old Joe considers drunk driving a nothingburger.

Obviously, he's pandering to what he thinks is the Latino vote, same as with the DACA remarks. And if he is, it's stupid stuff, even from his own perspective given that the majority of Latino voters are against encouraging more illegal immigration or coddling illegals with special protections.

Like his China remarks, his Latino panders are frozen in time, ignorant of how the world has changed since those ideas were the vogue.

It's a sign he's frozen in time actually, even as progressives such as Bernie Sanders and Eizabeth Warren come up with ever crazier extravagant spending proposals. Between the two groups of Democrats, one living in the past and the others going off the rails, it's Scylla and Charybdis for anyone obtuse enough to be thinking of voting for a Democrat. They're all bad, Joe every bit as bad as the crazies out there.
