This driver did a good thing. He had a place to go and Dumbasses are "playing " in the streets again. When I was younger I was taught at an early age by my mom and dad to not play in the streets. They deserve what they get
Pro Hamas protesters in Minneapolis surrounded a car being driven by an elderly man during a “die-in” demonstration in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. The protestors shut down a section of roadway, blocking traffic, and physically attacking vehicles that tried to push through the crowd. Video from the protest shows individuals carrying Palestinian and Hamas flags and dressed in black assaulting a vehicle driven by a terrorized and frightened man – who the protestors claim tried to run them over and shoot at them.
Additional arial footage of the exchange clearly shows the driver made no attempt to run over protestors, and instead was the target of violence and physical assault himself. At the very start, the driver appears to briefly exit his vehicle before a mob of protestors surge at him.
After the driver is able to re-enter his vehicle, protesters swarm around him and begin smashing his windshield and the passenger and driver side windows. The car then slowly inches forward as more protestors throw themselves on his vehicle and continue using objects and signs to smash at his windows. Finally after another vehicle moves to clear a path, the driver is able to move forward and accelerates once clear of the protestors and on open road.
Despite appearing to be clear of the protestors, the end of the street is blockaded by additional vehicles. The elderly driver is once again trapped and surrounded by protestors. It is at this point the video claiming the driver attempted to run over protestors originates. The video and claims made against the driver come from Zach Metzger, one of the protest organizers who is a radical, anti-police, far-left candidate for Minneapolis City Council.
After another series of attacks on the driver and his vehicle, the elderly man is able to turn his vehicle around and depart the chaotic seen down a city side street.
