CHICAGOANS BEG OBAMA TO HELP WITH GUN VIOLENCE IN CITY

Good comments after story, I put a few up

Jesse Jackson, a resident of Chicago, joined other Chicagoans who have lost relatives to gunfire in stating that in order for the deadly rate of shootings in Chicago to be abated, Barack Obama needs to pay a visit to his hometown.

Jackson said, "When the president shows up, it shows ultimate national seriousness. My greatest fear about the gun violence in Chicago is that we're adjusting to it."

Jackson was echoed by Anita Crittenden, the aunt of a murder victim, who added that a visit by Obama would "get the leaders to think and step up and make some changes."

Some of the outbursts were triggered by the murder of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton, who was a part of a high school band that performed at Obama's January 17 inauguration. The White House’s “We The People” website features a petition that asks Obama to come to Pendleton’s funeral.

There were 506 murders in in Chicago in 2012, which was an increase of 17 percent from 2011.

If the people of Chicago want to stem the tide of gun violence, first they need to vote out every democrat in their city and state. And obviously strict gun control hasn't worked. They've made their citizens sitting ducks. The black community better wake up to the fact that the democrats are all full of sound and fury, but they do, absolutely nothing. Jesse Jackson, is a sellout who's just trying to stay relevant.

Good post, but you missed one word. The second to last line should include the word "positive" at the end!
They have done plenty, almost all of it destructive!

You know BOBO would never help with gun violence in his own home town because he would then have to admit that all the guns doing the kiIIing are ILLEGAL guns !!!! Then BOBO would also have to admit CRIMINAL THUG are behind the trigger & are over 90% minorities, BOBO doesn't want to talk about that he is a RACIST you know !!!!!!!!!!!!

If he goes to Chitcago, (appropriately spelled) he will probably bring another extra 22 or 25 SS men to protect his skinny butt.

I personally could care less if gang bangers , thugs and lifetime Obama voters kill each other off. That leaves more room in the prisons for criminal illegal alens
