The irony, however, is that Brazile, who managed Al Gore’s unsuccessful presidential campaign in 2000, was among ObamaCare’s biggest supporters. After it was passed, she told CNN that ObamaCare would “provide access to quality, affordable health care and reduce the federal budget deficit.”
She defended the law and played up the very parts of it that are driving up health insurance premiums. Not only that, but she wanted primary challenges for Democrats who didn’t support it.
Brazile is facing the same unfortunate reality that millions of Americans are staring down. It was reported at last month that insurance premiums would be going up in a number of states, by as much as 20%. Young Americans can expect to see a 42% premium hikethanks to ObamaCare’s age-rating restrictions. And to make matters worse, if the cost-cutting measures of ObamaCare don’t hold up, taxpayers could be on the hook for as much as $6.2 trillion.
With all due respect, Ms. Brazile. You supported ObamaCare. You helped sell it to Americans who are now being hit with premium increases. Don’t complain. Own it.
