Liberals are always on the frontline of America’s incessant race war. Rarely do they miss an opportunity to call out conservatives on what they deem inappropriate or out of bounds regarding skin color.
So when the First Lady of the United States gets on stage at the Black Entertainment Television Awards and proclaims that “black girls rock,” what is she trying to say exactly?
Are young black women superior to other races of women? Is that it? How about Latina women?
Don’t white girls rock? I think they do!
Where’s the award show for white girls that rock? (Que the left’s response: EVERY AWARD SHOW IS A WHITE GIRL AWARD SHOW!)
From Yahoo:
First Lady Michelle Obama celebrated the beauty, power and tenacity of black women while spreading her own message of education for girls at Black Girls Rock!, an annual event honoring trailblazing women of color from all walks of life.Michelle Obama wowed the crowd at an annual conference honoring black women with her typical celebration of racial differences.“I am so proud of you. My husband, your president, is so proud of you,” she added. “We have so much hope and dreams for you.”
“No matter who you are” as long as you’re a black girl!
From BizPacReview:
“No matter who you are, no matter where you come from, you are beautiful,” Obama told the adoring crowd. “I am so proud of you. My husband, your president, is so proud of you. We have so much hope and dreams for you.”It is a beautiful message, and surely it’s deserving of white girls, or black men, or white men, too, right?Imagine former first lady Laura Bush standing on stage, saying, “White girls rock!”
I don’t think I can imagine Laura Bush saying that! She wouldn’t say it because it doesn’t need to be said. There definitely doesn’t need to be a show all about it, that’s for sure.
All girls rock is a show that should be promoted.
