President Obama’s legacy to America: a Middle East in chaos, radical Islam ascendant, a nuclear Iran with a $150 billion dollar terror fund, Israel demonized as a warmonger, Europe flooded with Muslims. This Iran Deal is so bad, so dangerous, so traitorous, it is hard to believe. That is one reason the Democrats can get away with it. Their loyal voters assume their party leaders and beloved first black President would not do something this traitorous.
Have no doubt this “deal” is a national security disaster. In an unprecedented move, motived by alarm and a sense of their responsibility, 245 (and the number is growing daily) retired generals and admirals, including the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President Clinton and the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO during the Gulf War, have written a stiff letter that was hand delivered to every member of Congress.
Their message to Congress: kill the Iran Deal.
They write:
“(The Iran Deal) is inimical to the security of Israel and the Middle East. There is no credibility within JCPOA’s (Iran Deal) inspection process … allows all the infrastructure … for a nuclear bomb to be preserved and enhanced. …The agreement is unverifiable … the agreement provides … $150 billion dollars … to Iran in the form of sanctions relief. As military officers, we find it unconscionable … to support terrorism…this agreement will enable Iran to become far more dangerous, render the Mideast still more unstable and introduce new threats to American interests as well as our allies. …We urge the Congress to reject this defective accord which endangers America's security.”
At least President Obama is betraying our country out of sincerely held beliefs that allow him to gloss over the doom he is bringing down on the world by giving birth to a newly powerful and resurgent Iran.Democrats in Congress are willing to betray their country rather than stand up to a rogue President. What is more important to the liberal politicians? The favors and threats that we know have been emanating from the White House, or decades of bi-partisan support for our national security? Easy answer for these career politicians: first their careers, then their perks, then their Democratic Party. American national interest is no longer on the list.
Our President has a lifelong affection and affinity for Islam, the religion of his father and his step-father, and of the country where he was raised as a child.
Obama also has his own version of American history, in which we are not a Judeo-Christian nation, not exceptional, have many reasons for remorse and few for pride. These are the values that led him to his dream of a Middle East where Iran, not America and not Israel, is the dominant military power.
Given his own radical leftist upbringing, it is not surprising that President Obama does not see radical Islam as a national security threat to America. For President Obama, radical Islam is not a monstrous scourge on the earth, but the outcry of impoverished Moslems who have been treated badly by the West. He uses Western colonialism and poverty as an excuse for ISIS and Iran, and says we have to address their grievances.
“The Muslim world has suffered historical grievances,” Obama…asserted while hosting his “Summit on Countering Violent Extremism.” He blamed the rash of global terrorism in part on “a history of colonialism” in the Mideast, Africa and South Asia.
Until these “economic and political grievances” are addressed — “not as a matter of military affairs” but by changing out “corrupt” regimes that “suppress Islam” and by funding more foreign jobs programs — terrorist attacks will continue to plague the West, he said.”
Because of his Moslem father and stepfather and where he grew up, Obama has an emotional affinity for Islam that few Americans share. The sound of the Islamic call to prayers is the “one of the prettiest sounds on earth” our President told the New York Times. He then recited the Moslem call to prayer in a “first-rate accent.”
Nicolas Kristof, the Time’s reporter, was too lazy to look up the Muslim call to prayer, or its significance. Recite it aloud in front of a witness three times, and you are a Muslim for life. Leaving the religion is punishable by death.
The opening lines of the Moslem call to prayer that Obama was so proud to recite in Arabic are:
"Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... "
As Paul Sperry wrote in the New York Post:
That President Obama won’t call it Islamic terrorism; that he believes we shouldn’t be on a “high horse” because America and Christians have done bad things; that Muslims are victims of “bigotry and prejudice”; that his State Department says it’s the lack of jobs, not religion, that fuels ISIS, should come as no surprise.
After all, he said the same thing about 9/11.
In 2004, Obama released an update of his 1995 memoir, “Dreams from My Father,” with a little-noticed new preface about the attacks.
“On September 11, 2001,” Obama wrote, “…history returned with a vengeance; in fact, as Faulkner reminds us, the past is never dead and buried — it isn’t even past.”
“This collective history, this past, directly touches my own,” he added. “… because the underlying struggle between worlds of plenty and worlds of want…is the struggle set forth, on a miniature scale, in this book,” which at its core is an indictment against Western imperialism, racism and colonialism.
Obama goes on to say he identifies with the “desperation and disorder of the powerless,” and how they can “easily slip into violence and despair.”
“I know, I have seen, the desperation and disorder of the powerless; how it twists the lives of children on the streets of Jakarta or Nairobi in much the same way as it does the lives of children on Chicago’s South Side, how narrow the path is for them between humiliation and untrammeled fury, how easily they slip into violence and despair,” he wrote.
Obama implies terrorism is simply a spasm of violence which erupts among the poor in response to that desperation.
That’s our President. What is Congress’s excuse? What is the excuse of all those Democrat voters who like to swallow easy lies, even at the cost of betraying our country? No wonder Obama loves his Iran Deal. He thinks he is raising up the despairing and powerless masses of the Middle East, righting the wrongs of colonialism and striking a blow against American ‘colonial’ superiority. He is righting the wrongs of a white Western country, America, unjustly playing a powerful role in the Middle East for our own national interest. In his twisted moral universe, the mullahs are on the side of the right and America and Israel are the bad guys.
Obama will never pay a price for his perfidy. Congress is not so well protected. The only thing they understand is their own self-interest. Voters must make it abundantly clear to them that each and every senator who votes to support the Iran Deal will face a primary challenge and a barrage of negative ads tying them to this shameful deal. The Iran Deal can and must be the death knell for the Democrats’ partisan corruption.
