Bipartisan Task Force Sidesteps Crucial Evidence: Shooter’s Identity and Motive Ignored

The House Bipartisan Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump held its first hearing last week. Grossly incompetent are the words that come to mind.

Unfortunately, the House members of the Task Force don’t understand what information is important in a criminal investigation and, therefore, are unable to ask important, pertinent questions that may provide the American people with accurate information about the attempted assassination.

While no one doubts the Task Force’s desire to get to the bottom of the assassination attempt, what the American people must understand is that the goal of the Task Force is to “identify solutions that will prevent security failures from recurring in the future,” NOT to get to the bottom of who committed the crime and why. Knowing the role of the Task force helps the American people to understand why the members seemed so inept during the “preliminary” hearing.

The best way to understand the Task Force’s missed opportunities comes pretty much from the beginning of the hearing when the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, (ME) Dr. Ariel Goldschmidt, testified via Zoom. According to Goldschmidt his staff made arrangements “later that night” (July 13th) “to transport the bodies of Thomas Crooks and victim Corey Comperatore to our office.”

Did any of the Task Force members ask the ME if he knew the identity of the alleged deceased shooter that evening when arrangements were being made? No. Did anyone on the Task Force inquire as to when the ME became aware of the identity of the alleged shooter? No.

Of interest is that in his testimony the ME made a point of explaining that the “required chain of custody” paperwork began after the body arrived at the ME’s office. Of course, it’s difficult to dismiss the unnatural and suspicious situation that occurred at the AGR building with the chain of custody of the body prior to the Butler County Coroner’s identification of the deceased.

Remember that William F. Young III, the Butler County Coroner, went to the AGR building around midnight on July 14th and was rebuffed and told to come back the next morning. Young and “another deputy” returned to the AGR building around 6:00a.m. on the 14th to identify the alleged shooter.

Did the Task Force ask the ME why the body of the alleged shooter laid on the AGR roof all night? No. Did the Task Force ask the ME what method was used by the Butler County Coroner to identify the alleged shooter? No. Did the Task Force ask the ME what law enforcement agencies had control of the AGR building throughout the evening of July 13-14? No. Lost opportunities.

The ME then explained in his testimony that “prior to the autopsy, the body was X-rayed, major handprints were obtained by the FBI Major Incident Program Manager, Brian Johnson.” Did the Task Force members ask the ME when and where the FBI conducted the X-rays? No. How about what was found in the X-rays? No. Did the Task Force members ask the ME where the handprints were taken by the FBI? No. Did the Task Force ask the ME if the FBI’s handling of the alleged shooter’s body prior to autopsy compromised the chain of custody? No.

Goldschmidt then testified that he “had no reports from or involvement in the investigation into Mr. Crooks’ motives and actions, crime scene evidence or other outside evidence…” Really? What did the Task Force members have to say about that? Nothing.

Did the Task Force members ask why the Butler County Coroner had not provided the ME with investigative notes and photographs that must have been taken by the coroner while making identification on the roof of the AGR Building at 6:00a.m. July 14th. No. Did the Task Force members ask the ME why he wasn’t provided any investigative information that may help him in his autopsy? No. Did the Task Force members question the ME as to why standard procedure of receiving investigative information from the coroner wasn’t followed? No.

While all the above unexplored issues are irresponsible, the following is just insulting. According to the ME, “items of evidentiary value collected during the autopsy were transferred to the custody of the FBI.” Did the Task Force members ask the ME exactly what items (plural) of evidentiary value were forwarded to the FBI? Unbelievably no. Couldn’t just be the bullet. The ME said ITEMS. Apparently, the Task Force doesn’t care what ITEMS were recovered from the alleged shooters body.

And the final insult came when Task Force members failed to follow up with the ME about the Toxicology tests that were conducted. Did the Task Force members ask one question about what drugs were tested for? No. It’s hard to imagine a more useless hearing.

So, the question becomes, what information did the American people not receive during the preliminary hearing? First and foremost, Americans still have no idea where, when and by what method was the alleged shooter identified.

According to early reports, Kevin Rojek, the special agent-in-charge (SAIC) for the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, told reporters just hours after the shooting on Saturday, “we’re trying to run his DNA and get biometric confirmation.” SAIC Rojek also said the bureau was also “looking at photographs” to help ID the shooter. “Trying to run…” Did Rojek or didn’t Rojek run Crooks’ DNA? The Task Force members didn’t ask. The Task Force also apparently wasn’t interested in knowing what photos the FBI has that they would use for identification immediately after the shooting. The public had access to only childhood photos.

Nevertheless, it’s anyone’s guess why the Task Force never bothered to ask the ME how the shooter was identified. Doesn’t the Task Force want to know? How hard can this be? Don’t the Task Force members have similar questions as their fellow Americans? It’s inexplicable that the Task Force would not establish just that one piece of physical evidence.

The American people did not learn whether the bullet(s) pulled from Crooks’ body match which sniper’s gun barrel. The ME stated that Crooks died “as a result of a high velocity gunshot wound to the head, with an entrance wound of the left upper lip.” Great. Did the Task Force members ask what was the caliber of the bullet? No. Further, the Task Force didn’t bother to question the ME as to whether there was an exit wound and, if not, was the entry and trajectory through the body consistent with the which sniper’s position?

This kind of amateur investigating is not what the American people deserve. If the Task Force members are unfamiliar with criminal investigations, there’s little doubt that hiring a competent investigator would wholeheartedly be approved by the taxpayers.

By virtue of the fact that a Presidential candidate and former President was shot at a campaign rally is sufficient evidence that the Secret Service was inept and failed to do the job for which they are paid. The American people, however, would like to know, based on physical evidence, who the shooter was and why he attempted the assassination.

Kris Mayes tells MSNBC panel, “We absolutely have to get President Biden reelected” weeks before filing junk charges against Trump 2020 electors – March 30, 2024

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, in a September 10 phone call with the Democratic Arizona Governor and Secretary of State, admitted that the 18 defendants she is currently prosecuting for questioning the election did nothing wrong. 

In April, 18 individuals, including Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, RNC attorney Christina Bobb, conservative attorney John Eastman, and Trump campaign adviser Boris Epshteyn, were indicted by Kris Mayes’ grand jury for challenging the stolen 2020 election and casting an alternative slate of electors for President Trump.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the case is already in jeopardy after a judge allowed the defendants to argue the charges are politically motivated last month. Now, there’s even more proof the charges are totally fraudulent and politically motivated.

The charges include nine counts of conspiracy, fraudulent schemes and artifices, fraudulent schemes and practices, and forgery. “Defendants and unindicted coconspirators schemed to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency to keep Unindicted Coconspirator 1 in office against the will of Arizona’s voters,” Mayes’s indictment alleges. President Trump was named “Unindicted Coconspirator 1.”

 

The indictment further alleges, “Defendants deceived the citizens of Arizona by falsely claiming that those votes were contingent only on a legal challenge that would change the outcome of the election. In reality, Defendants intended that their false votes for Trump-Pence would encourage Pence to reject the Biden-Harris votes on January 6, 2021, regardless of the outcome of the legal challenge. When combined with the six other States where Republican electors sent in uncertified votes for Trump-Pence, Defendants wanted Pence to either declare Unindicted Coconspirator 1 the winner of the election, delay the proceeding and have individual state legislatures determine their electors, or have Congress resolve any claimed uncertainty about the validity of election results in Arizona and six other states in Unindicted Coconspirator 1’s favor.”

However, Arizona has failed for 20 years to accurately verify that only legal votes were counted, and the election was rightfully challenged, according to a stunning admission by Kris Mayes and Governor Katie Hobbs.

The Gateway Pundit reported that a supposed error in the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department’s (MVD) system caused nearly 100,000 voter registrations to be validated without properly verifying the registrants’ citizenship. For 20 years, this issue has existed and allowed individuals who received a driver’s license before 1996 to vote without citizenship verification, according to the officials.

 

After discovering the issue, the Attorney General, Governor, and Secretary of State held a private meeting via phone to discuss a strategy for breaking the news to the public.

Their final solution was a bogus “friendly lawsuit” filed by so-called Republican hatchetman Stephen Richer in his capacity as Maricopa County Recorder. The officials were worried they would come under fire for removing the voters, who they claim are mostly Republicans, from the rolls or downgrading their ballot to federal races only. Arizona law allows voters who do not provide documentary proof of citizenship to vote only in federal elections, in accordance with federal law. So, they schemed to employ Stephen Richer, a RINO, to file the lawsuit, asking that the court designate the mostly Republican registrants as “federal only” voters and strip their ability to vote a full ballot with state and local races and ballot measures.

As was recently revealed in the leaked phone call, Attorney General Kris Mayes admitted that the last two elections in Arizona “are challengeable” due to the State’s failure to verify the citizenship of voters over the last 20 years. Governor Katie Hobbs also chimed in, admitting that the missing citizenship verification validates “theories about illegal voting in our elections.” They absolutely destroyed their case!

Both candidates reportedly “won” the rigged 2022 election, where 60% of machines failed on election day in the State’s largest county, Maricopa, and hundreds of thousands of phony or illegal mail-in ballots were believed to have been counted. The Gateway Pundit’s reporting exposed Maricopa County’s rigged mail-in ballot system when we reviewed public record ballot envelopes and compared the signatures to corresponding voter registration records.

Notably, Kris Mayes stole her election from Trump-Endorsed former Attorney General Nominee Abe Hamadeh by just 280 votes and is now prosecuting people for questioning the 2020 election. Hamadeh, who is now the Republican Nominee for US Congress in Arizona’s 8th District and still fighting challenges to the 2022 election to ensure election integrity moving forward, reacted to Mayes’s admission, telling The Gateway Pundit:

“This explosive revelation underscores the undeniable truth: Arizona’s elections remain compromised, and our legal system has failed to deliver accountability. As I prepare to enter Congress, my commitment to defending Arizonans’ sacred right to vote remains unwavering, as proven by my ongoing election challenges from the 2022 election. Moreover, the illegitimate attorney general’s admission that these elections are challengeable signals a critical turning point — it’s time she drops her baseless and politically motivated case against the 18 alternate electors. Her frivolous legal attacks only further erode trust in our already fragile system, and the people of Arizona deserve better.”

Additionally, Brad Miller, the attorney representing former Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward and her husband Michael Ward, in Kris Mayes’ frivolous indictment, told The Gateway Pundit:

“The whole thing is appalling because Kris Mayes is attempting to prosecute people for something that she knows was a legitimate election challenge. The entire case is built upon this strange theory that the Attorney General has that a person is not allowed to challenge an election, even a legitimate lawsuit. In the last hearing that I was a part of, a member of the Attorney General’s Office argued to the judge that if a person files a legitimate election lawsuit, that could be part of a conspiracy to overturn an election and, therefore, could be criminal. And now we see, and we get a little bit of a peek behind the curtain of the motives of Kris Mayes, which is to hide the fact that she’s likely the illegitimate Attorney General of the State of Arizona, and she’s trying to hide the fact that there were many problems in that 2020 election.”

Miller is also the 2024 Republican Nominee for Pinal County Attorney, running unopposed in the General Election.

It is unclear whether the leak to the far-left Washington Post was another staged operation to make it seem they tried their hardest to ensure election integrity or to discourage Republicans from voting because they don't trust the system. If so, however, the tactic surely backfired!

It was further revealed that the corrupt officials sat on the issue for more than a week until Stephen Richer announced his lawsuit on September 17, less than two months before the election and just weeks before ballots were set to be mailed out.

Trump: the January 6 narrative crumbles

January 6. To hear those suffering from terminal Trump Derangement Syndrome, it was an insurrection—caused by Trump--worse than the Civil War, worse than Pearl Harbor, a horrendous, nation-shattering event.  Poor Kamala Harris barely escaped with her life, despite being at DNC Headquarters at the time, where the surely fake bomb threat was unfolding. Even AOC was in mortal danger, despite being in an entirely different building. It was the insurrection where no insurrectionists brought guns, and the only deaths were protestors killed by the Capitol Police. It was an insurrection where the insurrectionists were invited inside and escorted by Capitol Police, where they comfortably chatted, took in the sights, took selfies and willingly left a few hours later and Congress completed its business. Even so, on January 6, “our democracy” hung by a thread.

We know that because the report of the January 6 Committee said it was all Trump’s fault. They could have issued that report before their first meeting, but what would have been the fun in that?  Besides, all the on-air, Hollywood-scripted posturing was essential to Liz Cheney’s election efforts, which resulted in one of the most epic defeats in American electoral history. Wyomingites are still chuckling about that.

Donald Trump had the temerity to point out the “insurrection” began long before he stopped speaking at a venue a half-hour walk—1.6 miles--from the Capitol. He also incited those present by telling them to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,” and after the riot began, he issued statements telling everyone to “stay peaceful,” and to “go home,” which they soon did.

Unsurprisingly, the J6 Committee ignored these facts.

They also ignored that on January 3, Trump authorized up to 10,000 National Guard troops to guard the capital.  Generals Kellogg, Milley and SecDef Miller were present. Kellogg confirmed Trump’s order.  Trump also offered the same to Nancy Pelosi, who refused.  Others present at the time such as Stephen Miller confirmed the offer and her refusal. Pelosi and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser reportedly refused because they thought the “optics” would be bad. Since then, the usual “fact checkers” have claimed no such meeting/offers took place.

In the meantime, the Orange Man Bad narrative has suffered damage. A House subcommittee chaired by Barry Loudermilk (R, GA) recently released video obtained from HBO. It was filmed by Nancy Pelosi’s daughter on Jan. 6, 2021, but the J6 Committee destroyed it, along with much else it was required to retain.

The bulk of these new videos show then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi repeatedly saying “I take full responsibility.” Additionally, she discusses the firing of U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund and House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving, still, she stresses that blaming anyone besides Trump would be a "diversionary tactic." 

“We have totally failed. We have to take some responsibility for not holding the security accountable for what could have happened.”

“Oh my god, I cannot believe the stupidity of this. And I take the full responsibility.”

For Pelosi, taking “full responsibility” has consisted of blaming Trump.

Then-President Donald Trump gave clear instructions to Pentagon brass days before the Jan. 6 riots to “do whatever it takes” to keep the U.S. Capitol safe, including deploying National Guard or active-duty troops, but top officials did not comply because of political concerns, according to transcripts of bombshell interviews conducted by the Defense Department's chief watchdog that shine new light on government disfunction ahead of the historic tragedy.

Among the revelations:

*Trump told General Mark Milley to have enough soldiers or Guard present to ensure a safe event on Jan. 6.

*SecDef Mark Miller assured Trump they had a plan and everything was covered.

But Miller lied:

“There was absolutely -- there is absolutely no way I was putting U.S. military forces at the Capitol, period,” Miller told the inspector general during his March 2021 interview.

He didn’t like the optics of armed troops at the Capitol, and intended to use a small number only for traffic and similar duties. He admitted his disobedience of Trump’s order was political:

"...I hate to use the word optics because it’s been used and so prejudicially and negatively. It wasn’t the optics. It was like there was would have been huge political consequences that, because that’s what I got paid to do. If I had the factor in the politics of this and that was my concern is the situation does not warrant at this time U.S. military forces.”

Contrast their concern for “optics” with the optics of thousands of troops ringing the Capitol after Jan. 6.

President Trump on Monday responded to Kamala Harris’ “FAKE and STAGED photo” pretending to respond to Hurricane Helene in America’s Southeast region.

Over 100 people have reportedly died in the hurricane’s more than 500-mile path of destruction across multiple states in the Southeast region. Millions have been hit by power outages.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump is receiving a briefing on the catastrophic category four Hurricane Helene in Valdosta, Georgia. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris pretends to be “in constant contact with state and local officials to ensure communities have the support and resources they need.”

In the photo that Kamala posted on X, claiming that she is in communication with FEMA and local governors, one can clearly see that the headphones she's wearing on the call aren't even plugged into her cell phone. What a joke!

In fact, as Trump told the press on Monday morning before his conference, "They're having a very hard time getting the President on the phone; he won't get on, and of course, the Vice President, she's out someplace campaigning, looking for money." Trump further indicates he will be traveling to North Carolina to provide support.

Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt also called out the Biden-Harris Regime this morning for their inaction and posturing on the issue, noting that the people are "desperate."

We've given billions and billions of dollars to Ukraine, and there's nothing else we can do for American citizens who are struggling, no fault of their own? Such a lack of leadership from the White House right now, but President Trump is showing real leadership," said Leavitt.

A Georgia chemical plant ignited in flames Sunday morning at 5 am, reportedly due to a sprinkler malfunction that caused a chemical reaction sending billows of smoke into the air.

The plant is in Conyers, Georgia, about 30 miles east of Atlanta.

Another day in Biden and Kamala’s America. The Gateway Pundit has previously reported on several similar catastrophes since the two took office. Notably, a train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, spilled toxic chemicals and poisoned the air and water of the community, which drew massive scrutiny to the Biden Administration for their failure to respond to the tragedy.

Kamala Harris is campaigning in Las Vegas, Nevada, today, likely unbothered by the fire and severe flooding from Hurricane Helene in the Southeast. Who even knows were the so-called President is?

In the early afternoon, Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett stood in front of the massive plume of smoke to provide an update and tell residents to “stay away from this area.”

Rockdale County Sheriff provides update on Chemical fire in Conyers, Georgia

Residents in the area were immediately evacuated and asked to stay inside with windows closed to prevent exposure to the hazardous materials.

Rockdale County put out an emergency alert at 10:45 am, asking churches to “cancel all church services for the day,” and “If a church service is already in session, please disperse immediately and DO NOT TRAVEL THROUGH THE AFFECTED AREA OF TOWN.”

A fire at BioLab, a chemical plant, on Old Covington Highway in Rockdale County led to several road closures in the area early Sunday morning, according to Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency services responded and the sheriff’s office is asking residents to stay indoors and keep windows closed to minimize exposure to any potential hazards. Officials say “safety measures are in place to protect the public.”

Residents in the immediate area have been evacuated and JP Carr Gym has been set up as an evacuation site.

During a 10 a.m. press conference, it was revealed that the incident began around 5 a.m. Officials say that a sprinkler in the plant malfunctioned, causing water to make contact with a reactive chemical. That resulted in a small fire on the roof of the plant and a large plume.

BioLab, the company that operates the plant, said in a statement,

 “We are actively investigating an incident at our BioLab facility in Conyers, Georgia. Our employees are accounted for with no injuries reported. Our team is on the scene, working with first responders and local authorities to assess and contain the situation. As always, the safety of our community remains our top priority.”

After subsiding temporarily, the fire later reignited, and a portion of Georgia’s Interstate 20 was blocked off.

Residents were warned against “wandering out” in the city and told to either leave or stay in place by the Mayor.
