PRESIDENT SLAMMED FOR SNUBBING COP'S FUNERAL

President Barack Obama ignored the funeral of a decorated officer who was killed in the line of duty. While some thought it insensitive, the fact that he gave more attention to the funerals of lawbreakers has been seen as a kick in the teeth.
President Obama sent three delegates to the funeral of Freddie Gray. Gray tragically died at age 25, allegedly from police brutality, though the investigation is ongoing. More than 20 criminal court cases had been brought against Gray in his short life.
The president had also sent three White House aides to the funeral of Michael Brown, a 19-year-old who was shot to death when he attacked an officer and resisted arrest. The officer was cleared of wrongdoing.
When it came to the funeral of Brian Moore, the NYPD officer shot in the head while sitting in his patrol car, no one from the White House bothered to make the trip to pay respects.
The president has made no bones about taking sides in the recent tensions between the black community and law enforcement officers. His seeming one-sidedness has sparked outrage on social media. Twitter user D Snellings summed up many people’s sentiments by tweeting, “He has a #DisgustingLackOfRespect 4 police & military. When he talks about where the problem is...he needs 2 look in the mirror! [sic]”
President Obama has been accused of driving many wedges in this country, splitting it apart. It’s getting to the point at which you have to wonder if any future president will ever be able to bring opposing sides back together.
