Rage-Filled Progressives Embrace Cultural Marxism

In the early 20th century, calling oneself progressive was a self-designation used by both Republicans (Theodore Roosevelt) and Democrats (Woodrow Wilson).  It acknowledged or promoted certain reforms in the body politic, yet by calling oneself progressive, there was the hope of differentiating oneself in the minds of the public from the socialists.  Socialism was deemed part of European culture, a response to the bourgeois culture that had arisen under a system in which there still were kings and queens and an entrenched elite who were perpetuated by being born into the nobility.  Since the beginning of our country, Americans had seen themselves as re-inventing culture.  Thus, the solution to various problems posed by industrialization, the transportation revolution created by the railroads, scientific farming, land use issues, and the growing complexity of banking and finance were perceived by our leaders as requiring new institutions and ways of thinking.
To some degree, the American leadership were led by Hegelian, Marxist, and Fabian socialists.  However, the idea was to transform these ideas into a socio-political and economic framework that was exceptional, with more dynamic and wealth-producing outcomes than the government critics in Europe could even imagine.  The Socialist Party led by Eugene V. Debs was much more critical of the U.S. in its 1912 platform than was either the Progressive Party or the Democratic Party.  Trust-busting to resist monopolies and oligopolies was deemed legitimate, but government ownership of the means of production, even of large industries, was not deemed by most to be needed.  Regulation by government, while a bone of contention, was not intended to reach the point of the federal government or any state or local government entity picking winners and losers (which regulation eventually led to as the century unfolded).  Workers were not perceived as victims, but, nonetheless, they were considered deserving of more respect than they were receiving from some captains of industry, such as the mining executives Teddy Roosevelt forced to the bargaining table.
Woodrow Wilson explicitly did not repudiate socialism, but he did not embrace it, either.  Rather, socialism embraced a Hegelian or Marxist dialectic whereby intellectuals were attracted to the non-linear perception dialectic afforded.  Aristotle's view for more than 2,000 years was linear.  The law of non-contradiction (all being is either A or not A and cannot be both) and the syllogism (all men are mortal; Socrates is a man; therefore, Socrates is mortal) led to either-or thinking.  Dialectical reasoning seemed to allow for syntheses of apparent opposites in social organization.  Thus, for John Dewey, who later affirmed before Congress that he was a socialist but not supportive of communism, there was a desire to see a synthesis of the school and society, or the child and the curriculum, of the "common faith" (in democracy) and the individual processing his own life's purpose and destiny.  Thus, the thought processes of the socialists were embraced more than the actual socialist programs.
Fast-forward one hundred-plus years to the progressives of our own era.  Now, the cultural Marxists, while still calling themselves progressive, have embraced the homosexual and transgender struggles against so-called "binary traditionalism."  They have embraced the struggle of minorities and people of color against white hegemony, so-called.  They have embraced the supposed struggle of females against males (#MeToo), going beyond an earlier phase of emphasizing equal pay for equal work or the need to "break the glass ceiling" for corporate advancement.  Now the male is becoming the enemy.  Campuses have signs plastered everywhere warning students against any and all forms of sexual harassment.  This writer has seen the signs, which portray the male students as though they were predatory beasts waiting to rip life and dignity away from the female students.

In embracing these artifacts of cultural Marxism, they have had to somewhat distance themselves from the traditional Marxist class struggle since the workers (the proletariat)  are more happy with traditional male-female roles; have more experience working side by side with minorities than the Antifa and college campus freak-out types (especially at the more elite educational institutions); and, just as they regularly did one hundred years ago, respect and love the USA more than they do the "working class."  Thus, workers have become somewhat marginalized from the cultural Marxist version of the class struggle.  For the left, all their concerns noted above tend to converge, so they have adopted the term "intersectionality" to cover this convergence.  But since the workers do not fit neatly into the new pro-Marxist framework, they just hope no one notices and that the beloved proletariat does not show up at one of their rallies and beat the crap out of them.
Thus, following the teachings and leadings of both classic and cultural Marxists like Herbert Marcuse,  Antonio  Gramsci, John Dewey, Gus Hall, Saul Alinsky, Barack Obama, and others who despise the America that existed prior to the 1960s, the so-called progressives want to tear down the fabric of American life.  They promote violent confrontation of groups, interfere with the educational process by forcing ideological uniformity in educational settings K-12 and at the university level, exaggerate white hostility toward blacks and Latinos, and attack the Christian faithful as self-righteous hypocrites.  In any public pronouncement about the past of the United States, they have almost nothing favorable to say.  They repudiate our country as a land of exploitation, rejecting the image of the USA as the land of opportunity.  They are using the immigration issue, as they use every other issue, as an opportunity to tear down the stability, wealth, and Christian neighborliness of our society.
In about one hundred years, the term "progressivism" has gone through a kind of time-space warp.  There was still an element of balance in the original term.  It was consciously distinguishing itself from socialism.  It tried to mute the rage and hatred suggested by "socialism" and its first cousin, communism.  Now the term "progressivism" has become wholly associated with the Democratic Party.  It is sinister in its program, its implications, and its design.  It is not constructive in its program, but seems driven by an unearthly hatred of the USA.  We need to push back consistently and often against this obsessive, antisocial tide of complaints and false values.

Devastating! Author and Columnist Deroy Murdock Breaks Down Democrat Party’s Support for Open Borders (VIDEO)

Today’s Democrat Party pretends to support border security. Liberals understand that their open borders policies are widely unpopular with the American public who prefer to have a country with borders. So instead of telling the truth Democrats and their liberal media cohorts cover up the truth by pretending to advocate for “border security.”
It’s an illusion and a lie.
Sunday morning on FOX and Friends author and columnist Deroy Murdock broke down the Democrat Party’s record on border security. On issue after issue Democrats have voted against securing the borders and Democrats have protected illegal entry into America. This is a very dangerous policy. Thousands of Americans die each year from violent assaults and illegal drugs. Democrats don’t care.

Nancy Pelosi says border walls are immoral. Democrats want to abolish ICE. Democrats continue to defend illegal foreigners over American citizens.
President Trump is right. America is not a country without a secure border. Democrats disagree.

President Trump’s First Year Was the Year of the Stock Market – 2018 Will Be Known as “YEAR OF THE WORKER”

Barack Obama, the worst president in modern history, was asked in June 2016 about the Carrier Corp jobs in Indiana.

Obama told the crowd the manufacturing jobs weren’t coming back.
When somebody says like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back. Well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do? There’s uh-uh no answer to it. He just says. “I’m going to negotiate a better deal.” Well how? How exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer.
Last November ADP Services reported the largest number of new manufacturing jobs in history – 40,000 in one month!

President Trump continued to add manufacturing jobs back in to the economy at an amazing rate.
In August 2018 the US added more manufacturing jobs than at any time since 1995.  In October 2018 the Trump economy added 32,000 new manufacturing jobs.  The total manufacturing jobs added under President Trump through that time was over 430,000 in less than two years.
CNS News reported:
Manufacturing jobs in the United States increased by 32,000 in October and have now increased by 434,000 during the presidency of Donald Trump, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
In December 2016, the month before Trump was inaugurated, there were 12,351,000 manufacturing jobs in the United States. In October 2018, there were 12,785,000—amounting to a gain of 434,000 over the past 22 months.
In November 2018, unemployment stood at 3.7% – the lowest rate in a half a century.  Unemployment was below 4% for the first time this century and for the 7th time this year in 2018.

In the US this year there were actually more job openings than there were workers!
This is why top US economist Stephen Moore labels 2018 the “Year of the Worker” and the President noticed –

Now This: Deep State FBI Is Examining Trump Golf Club’s Employment Records

Looks like they are out of control?

The Deep State Harassment Never Stops–

It’s time to shut down the FBI and start over. It’s become too corrupt and is now a branch of the Democrat Party acting like a criminal gang against US conservatives.

The Deep State FBI is now investigating President Trump’s golf resort in New Jersey.
Earlier this month illegal alien Victorina Morales came forward and told reporters she worked at the Trump National Golf Course for several years making several times the amount of money she once made shucking corn in Central America.
Morales lied to her employees about her legal status to get the job. She complained that Trump was mean and forced her to wear a US flag pin.

The Trump organization says if she used fraudulent documents to get a job she will be terminated immediately.

Now the FBI is harassing employees at Trump properties.
The FBI is a mob.

SFGate reported:
Federal and state investigators are scrutinizing the employment documents of immigrants without legal status who allegedly worked at President Donald Trump’s golf club in New Jersey, according to their attorney.
Anibal Romero, a Newark attorney who represents five undocumented immigrants who say they worked at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, said in an interview Saturday that he met with investigators from the New Jersey state attorney general’s office and two FBI agents in November, before the workers began to go public with their stories.
Romero said he turned over fake green cards and Social Security numbers that supervisors at the golf club allegedly gave one of his clients, Victorina Morales, a 44-year-old Guatemalan national. He also gave investigators the pay stubs of Sandra Diaz, a Costa Rican native who now has legal status but said she was undocumented when she worked at the club for three years.
The FBI agents told him they would “coordinate” with the New Jersey state attorney general’s office, Romero said.
The materials collected by law enforcement agencies, first reported by the New York Daily News, indicate that investigators may be launching a probe into the hiring practices of the president’s golf club.

Hah! Trump Calls Out Obamas on Their Walled Mansion – “The US Needs the Same Thing, Slightly Larger Version”

Democrats love to lecture on the morality of walls — But they ALL have big walls around their huge mansions.

In May 2017 former President met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and took a potshot at President Trump.
Obama told his German audience:
“In this new world that we live in we can’t isolate ourselves. We can’t hide behind a wall.
Meanwhile, back in Washington DC, workers were completing work on Barack Obama’s wall around his home.
Via Free Republic:
Workers worked on his wall for months.

On Sunday President Trump agreed with “President and Mrs. Obama” that a wall is needed on the southern border just like on his mansion!

Sanctuary legislator Kevin de Leon cries big crocodile tears for dead cop killed by illegal immigrant

Most lefty legislators in California are laying low over the death of Ronil Singh, a Newman, Calif. cop murdered at the hands of a multiple-convicted illegal immigrant. That's due to their own role in making California a sanctuary state that effectively makes it impossible to throw criminals out. The county sheriff of Stanislaus County, where the town of Newman is located, has stated right flat out that sanctuary state policies were what left the police officer dead. According to the San Francisco Chronicle:
“We were prohibited — law enforcement was prohibited because of sanctuary laws and that led to the encounter with officer Singh,” Christianson said at Friday’s news conference. “The outcome could have been different if law enforcement wasn’t restricted, prohibited, or had their hands tied because of political interference.”
With that going on, it's obvious enough to most lefty legislators that their law has killed a law-abiding American legal immigrant contributing to society, as well as left an infant fatherless. Being no fools, they know it's not a good time to have the cameras on them.
There's one exception, though, and it's an amazingly gross one:
Kevin de Leon, the actual author of California's sanctuary state law, whose last known job was running for the Senate against Sen. Dianne Feinstein during the midterms, an election he lost. I actually pulled the lever for Feinstein, despite her utterly loathesome stunts directed against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, which ought to tell you how bad de Leon is.

And in terms of shamelessness, de Leon (the "de" is fake, by the way) does not disappoint.
Here is his crocodile-infused teary tweet:
https://twitter.com/kdeleon/status/1078095944669745152?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1078095944669745152&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitchy.com%2Fbrettt-3136%2F2018%2F12%2F29%2Fsenator-who-authored-californias-sanctuary-state-bill-sends-condolences-to-family-of-slain-officer%2F
Twitchy has a must-read curation of just how well those tears and flapdoodle went down on Twitter here.
Obviously, he retains his obnoxious ambition. (See his unflattering Wikipedia page here.) And obviously, he's feeling the political heat same as the others.
So he went and made that frankly insulting tweet, pretty well mocking the grief of the family in Newman with his own phony claims to sorrow. The others stayed away. De Leon got out front and claimed he was with them.
And more to the point, claimed his law had nothing to do with it. As if the Stanislaus County sheriff wouldn't know.
He's right now saying on the radio that sanctuary state laws protect law-abiding legal immigrants and any criticism of his law, which is "here to stay" is politicizing the death. Really? Politicizing a political problem? Talk about the last refuge of the scoundrel, no politics for him, is that it? Oh and he also hopes the bad guy goes to jail for the rest of his life, he says, trying to make himself out to not be a monster. Nice thing to say after the fact, it seems, but the rest of us would prefer Officer Singh alive instead.
All we can do is hope the pressure stays on, de Leon keeps thrashing, and this outrage created by him is what this sinks is career for good.

Public employees fighting to keep their identities secret in abortion body parts case

Kinda reminds you of them Antifa Pussies that hide there face while committing criminal activities, so we don't know who they are

Public employees at the University of Washington are arguing that the First Amendment gives them the right to have their identities concealed in a case involving the sale of body parts for medical research. The 9th circuit court just heard arguments on the case that grew out of an undercover video by David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress.
The case is Jane Does 1-10, et al v. David Daleiden, in which he as an investigative journalist is seeking information about the public employees working in a research lab at the university and what they’ve done, and abortion facility personnel.
They all “want their involvement in research using aborted baby body parts to remain secret,” according to officials with the Thomas More Society, which is representing Daleiden in this case.
They “have gone to court to force heavy redactions to the public documents. However, that is contrary to the law, which says that those documents must be released because they detail their work procuring, processing, and transferring the organs and tissue of aborted babies in connection with the university’s large taxpayer-funded fetal tissue research program,” the organization explains.

“Washington State’s Public Records Act requires full disclosure, but a lower court ordered the redactions, holding that the First Amendment required them. A panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit reversed that decision, unanimously holding that the district court had not provided the facts and law sufficient to make a ‘clear showing’ that the U.S. Constitution requires the heavy censoring of these public records. The case returned to the district court and is now, again, before the federal appeals court,” the group explained.
A ruling on the concealment demand is expected shortly, but the legal team said Circuit Judge M. Margaret McKeown called it a “very interesting case.”
“She, along with Senior Circuit Court Judge A. Wallace Tashima and Circuit Judge Jacqueline H. Nguyen, heard Thomas More Society Special Counsel Peter Breen argue that, ‘This case has nothing to do with academic freedom or expression – the requested injunction in no way touches research.'”
It's ironic that such a "simple medical procedure" would generate secrecy worthy of America's nuclear arsenal. Planned Parenthood has refused to release mortality statistics on abortions performed by them, and many other records have been denied investigators as PP cites confidentiality agreements and proprietary interests.
In this case, UW employees want to hide information about who uses baby parts, bought from brokers, in research. One would think they would be proud of the research they do and would want the whole world to know it. Do they know they're doing something wrong and are ashamed of their role?
This case is far from over, as are several other lawsuits brought against the CMP by abortion providers and body part brokers. The spokesman for the legal team from the Thomas More Society arguing the case questions the First Amendment argument used by UW employees: "How can you say that you are being ‘chilled’ if you’ve put yourself out there in national media on the abortion issue?”

A Washington Post writer is shocked that fraudulent reporting continues

When I read this article by Washington Post writer Charles Lane, acting as though he is surprised that fraudulent reporting continues with all the fact-checking,  I thought it was a joke. He seems astonished that a German reporter would get away with writing negative things about Americans based on stereotypes.
Below are some excerpts from Lane’s piece. Everything he complains about in the fraudulent German pieces could be said about the U.S media. My guess is that the Der Spiegel writer knew he could get awards by repeating what is written and said in the U.S media, with few ever questioning what he wrote. He knew they would go along.
Obama said Republicans cling to their religion and guns. Hillary said Trump supporters were deplorable and irredeemable. Obama compared tea party members to domestic terrorists. Almost all U.S. journalists supported Obama and Hillary no matter what they said or did, so why wouldn’t journalists from other countries gladly climb aboard with the stereotypes?
...the gun-toting, death-penalty-seeking, racist American nonetheless remains a stock character of much superficial coverage,
The despicable Dick Durbin went on the Senate floor and compared the military activity at GITMO to Nazis, Pol Pot and Soviet Gulag and the media frequently uses Durbin to target Trump. Is it any surprise that a prize winning journalist would write a fictional story about Gitmo?

He made up a story about an oft-tortured Yemeni released from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, and another about a Joplin, Missouri, woman who travels the country just to witness executions.
We hear frequently how Trump supports the Nazis. Trump and other Republicans are frequently referred to as racists, sexists, homophobes and xenophobes.
Similarly, while many German journalists report honestly from this country, going to great lengths to travel and meet ordinary people, the gun-toting, death-penalty-seeking, racist American nonetheless remains a stock character of much superficial coverage, particularly in left-leaning outlets such as Hamburg-based Der Spiegel.
Ugly Americans, and American ugliness, crop up repeatedly in Relotius's articles. He made up a story about an oft-tortured Yemeni released from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, and another about a Joplin, Missouri, woman who travels the country just to witness executions.
And on the outskirts of rural Fergus Falls, Minnesota, a majority of whose voters backed President Trump in 2016, Relotius purportedly found a large sign - "almost impossible to overlook," he wrote - reading "Mexicans Keep Out."
The fact that no one in the U.S. press or social media had previously spotted the sign apparently did not prompt so much as a follow-up call to Fergus Falls by Der Spiegel's editors.
They believed what they found believable. Their credulousness was rooted partly in truth - xenophobia, gun violence and the rest are real problems in the United States, just as anti-foreigner violence was, and is, in Germany.
But it also reflected bias: Contempt for American culture has a long history among the continental European cognoscenti, the sort of people who read Der Spiegel and write for it.
Negative caricatures of the United States have taken hold in broader German public opinion, too, especially since a stereotypical Ugly American, Donald Trump, reached the White House - but well before that, too.
The sub-headline on the piece:
I was naive; thought fraud in reporting was done for
The Kelley scandal, like the 2003 revelation of Jayson Blair's frauds at the New York Times, disproved my belief that Stephen Glass's fakes at the New Republic (in the 1990s, when I was the magazine's editor) might be the last. Surely computer-aided fact-checking would deter fraud, I thought.
However, the unmasking of Der Spiegel's erstwhile ace, Claas Relotius, as a phony on Dec. 20, mere days after he collected his fourth German Reporter Prize, shows yet again that my hope was naive. Reporters keep inventing stories and getting prizes for them.
What's going on? Fact-checking and other procedural matters are relevant but not fundamental. A great German philosopher got closer to the point when he wrote: "Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made."

Germany today finds itself in a galling situation: It depends, for both military protection and export markets, on a country - the United States - that many Germans, including influential figures in academia, the media, business and politics, regard with ambivalence bordering on disdain.
Lane’s home paper, the Washington Post, has participated widely in the fraudulent reporting on Russian collusion with Trump and yet Lane acts like he’s shocked about fraudulent reporting.
Almost all of the media intentionally and fraudulently reports that the Obama Justice Department operated independently and no one was above the law. Journalists frequently even use known perjurers Comey, Clapper, Brennan and Holder to bolster their attacks on Trump/
The Washington Post was the main source of hit pieces on booth Roy Moore and Brett Kavanaugh, seeking to destroy them with no actual evidence that the actual accusations were true.
When a police officer in Ferguson, MO shot a black thief trying to grab his gun, a fraudulent narrative of “hands up, Don’t Shoot” roared through the media, destroying the police officer and ginning up racial hate and violence. It intentionally ginned up hate of cops.
White kids from Duke were accused of rape throughout the media without actual evidence. These kids were targeted to help gin up racial hate. It is truly appalling how many people journalists will intentionally destroy to push an agenda.
The term “white Privilege” is a purely racist term to gin up racial hate.
When Trump gave a speech about Charlottesville, Virginia, he said there were good people on both sides of the issue. The issue was clearly whether statues should stay up or go down, yet the media fraudulently, to this day, says that Trump is sympathetic to Nazis to gin up racial hate and hate of Trump.
The U.S continues to accept over one million immigrants as citizens each year, yet the media intentionally and fraudulently labels Trump and other Republicans as xenophobes to gin up racial hate and to push Hispanics and others to vote for Democrats.
The media constructs and advances a narrative every day, deciding what to report, how to report and what not to report. Most often the narrative coincides with Democrat talking points seeking to push the Democrat agenda and destroy Trump and Republicans. When the fact-checkers share the same prejudices as the reporters, no one should be naïve enough to believe they would prevent fraudulent reporting.
