Murder suspect was deported from U.S. at least 8 times

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - Immigration agents say a murder suspect accused of shooting a man at a dairy farm in Milton-Freewater was deported from the United States at least eight times.
Local agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said Antonio Vasquez Vargas is a citizen of Mexico in the U.S. illegally.
According to a statement, ICE lodged a detainer with the Benton County Jail on Antonio Vasquez Vargas, who is also known as Deciderio Vargas-Ortiz, after he was arrested on local charges. In March of 2004, Vasquez Vargas was convicted in U.S. District Court for violation of 8 USC 1326(B)(2) Aggravated Felon Re-Entry After Deportation and was sentenced to 39 months in prison.
Vasquez Vargas is accused of shooting and killing 35-year-old Renee Luiz-Antonio while he was driving a tractor at the Umapine Creamery.
Umatilla County Sheriff says they believe there was a lengthy dispute between Luiz-Antonio and another employee at the dairy farm.
The 52-year-old was arrested Nov. 27 at the Clover Island Inn in Kennewick.
