The trial of Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell began this week. In case you forgot, and you very well might have seen as how no one wants to talk about this case, Jeffrey Epstein was the prolific child sex trafficker who, in 2019, was able to hang himself in his cell. After they took him off suicide watch… And the video cameras "malfunctioned"… And the guards fell asleep…
Whether you believe that or not is sort of irrelevant. The truth about Epstein will probably remain secret for a century, like the JFK assassination files. But his assistant Ghislaine was caught, she hasn't offed herself, and her trial is starting.
Some of the most interesting information available to the public at this point, however, is the long list of people who were allegedly involved in the operation. People who have managed to stay in the know about the Epstein case may remember that big names like Bill Gates and Bill Clinton are known to have hung around Epstein, but the list included in the Maxwell indictment includes other notable figures such as Harvey Weinstein, Beyonce, and Kanye West.
The list also includes a litany of other names and huge companies like Disney, Miramax, and Def Jam Recordings.
If the crime Maxwell is being accused of having committed is not disgusting and depraved enough, the notion that there were so many involved is enough to make one lose their entire Thanksgiving dinner.
I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg. It's still incredibly early in the trial, and there will certainly be more to come out as it moves forward. Hopefully, all the freaks who are legitimately involved are all brought to justice.
Our system needs to come up with a new punishment for pedophiles, though. Maybe something involving a bladed pendulum or something. I don't know. Maybe we can all start brainstorming.
