The IRS targeted liberty-oriented groups. We know this now. Obama’s response was fake “firing” someone who was going to be gone next month anyway while still trying to cover-up how deep the actual scandal went. And how deep does it go?
The IRS tried to swing the election towards Obama. As Investor’s Business Daily reports, emphasis mine, “USA Today found that in the 27 months after Feb. 2010,the IRS did not approve a single Tea Party application. Over those same months, however, dozens of applications submitted by liberal groups that were engaged in the same type of activities and were seeking the same tax status as the conservative ones sailed through the agency.”
In other words, between the midterm election and the presidential election, the IRS stopped the Tea Party from growing in order to combat Obama. In a close election, that can be the difference between victory or defeat. That’selection rigging. That’s fraud. That’s illegal. That means people should go to jail.
So was this just a “low level” problem? Absolutely not. In fact, IRS workers just “did what their bosses told them“. This goes all the way to Washington. The idea that Obama didn’t know about this is a pure lie. When we finally get the proof — and we will — we’ll have more than enough to impeach AND prosecute these treasonous criminals.
Barack Obama: The Pathological Liar
Barack Obama is a liar. He’ll lie for any kind of political gain he thinks it’ll get him. He’s lied about raising taxes,Guantanamo Bay, civil liberties, the 4th Amendment, foreign policy, Benghazi, and the IRS. He lies constantly.
The latest lie is the idea that he’s going to try to punish the IRS officials who used the IRS as an attack dog on Tea-Party activists. He gave a public address yesterday, quickly said that he would accept the resignation of the acting IRS commissioner Steve Miller. Supposedly, this makes everything better, and we can move on to debating new policies that Obama wants to shove down our throats.
One small problem: Steve Miller was going to be gone next month. He basically just ended his term a month sooner than he would have. The idea that Obama changed anything substantially at all is pure dishonesty on his part. Even then, almost everyone involved in the attacks on pro-liberty groups will not be fired.
Don’t Just Fire: Jail Them
The problem is that this isn’t just a firing offense. This is a “go to jail” offense. Someone illegally used the federal government’s powers to punish people in clear violation of their right to free speech, freedom of association, freedom of the press, and every other right protected by the 9th, 14th, and other amendments to the constitution.
The notion that Steve Miller was “punished” is absurd. It’s a lie to confuse you while they go right back to what they were doing — the laws be damned. This is corruption in its simplest form.
