Democrat Blames Racism for Republican Opposition to Obamacare

Someone or People need to send this dumb ass your insurance premium bills. What an Idiot!

Once again, Democrats are claiming Republicans’ opposition to Obamacare stems from their inherent racism.

In last week’s House Ways and Means Committee hearing, Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) compared Republicans’ hatred of Obamacare to opposition to 1950s civil rights legislation.

Lewis referenced the numerous strategies and votes Republicans have tried in attempts to repeal Obamacare. “Just reminds me of another period in our history. Not so long ago during the 50s, many Southern senators signed a Southern Manifesto after the Supreme Court decision of 1954. And those senators—along with many Southern governors—subscribed to the doctrine of interposition and notification and some even massive resistance.”

He then elaborated that this kind of opposition was exactly what modern Republicans were attempting to execute with Obamacare.

Kicker: Lewis should’ve checked his facts—97 percent of Congress who signed the Southern Manifesto were Democrats.

What do you think of Rep. Lewis’ comments?
