Food Stamps Hits Unprecedented Number of Recipients

The Obama administration continues to break records! Unfortunately, they’re for entitlement distribution.

For 13 months consecutive months, over 47 million Americans have remained on food stamps. That is an unprecedented figure that suggests entitlement programs keep people coming back for more handouts.

The Department of Agriculture, which funds theSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), orfood stamp program, released documents showing over 47 million Americans had been enrolled in SNAP from Aug. 2012 to Sept. 2013. There were 550,000 more enrollees by Sept. 2013.

Since Obama took office in 2009, SNAP expanded from 31.9 million recipients to 47.6 million recipients.

The Obama administration continues to claim the American economy is growing. These numbers certainly don’t prove that claim.
