WA STATE REJECTS OBAMA’S OBAMACARE FIX

Good for Washington, Obama only playing politics!

Americans were sold the snake oil of ObamaCare by Barack Obama himself with the promise “If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan. Period.” However, the reality is setting in for the millions of Americans who have seen their plans canceled by theirinsurance providers because they did not meet mandated ObamaCare standards. The response by the Obama Regime was that plans that were ‘substandard’ were replaced with ‘better, more comprehensive’ plans. Americans were told they should be glad that they were getting better coverage.
That did not sit too well with the people. Although many on the left continued to provide cover for Obama’s lies, there were some on the left who let their dissatisfaction and disdain for this poor excuse to cover a lie be known. Democrat strategist Kirsten Powers said earlier this week that her plan was canceled and an ACA replacement plan would be twice as much. She adamantly stated that there was nothing substandard about her plan, even going so far as to say that the explanation given over and over again, to provide cover for the plans canceled due to ACA regulations, by the White House made her blood pressure rise. Demanding transparency, she said Obama should just tell the truth. People’s premiums were going up to subsidize others.
After weeks of attacking canceled plans as ‘substandard’ and placing the finger of blame for these canceled policies on what he deemed as ‘bad apple insurers’, Barack Obama bowed to pressure from Democrats in Congress led by Diane Feinstein and echoed by former President Bill Clinton to keep his promise that people would be able to keep their plans if they like it. Today, he announced that he would allow Americans to keep these ‘substandard’ plans for a year. The language used of ‘allowing’ people to continue to buy the plan that they desire, when there was nothing illegal about their plan prior to ObamaCare, is disturbing enough. But, this unilateral decision to change what people have been told over and over again is the ‘law of the land’ to provide political cover for himself is not sitting well with some. Washington State Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler, a Democrat who previously served as representative to Washington’s 9th Congressional district, said that Washington State would not be adhering to the president’s new proposal. Recognizing the frustration of people upset by the cancellation of their health insurance policies, Kreidler issued the following statement:
“….I have serious concerns about how President Obama’s proposal would be implemented and more significantly, its potential impact on the overall stability of our health insurance market. I do not believe his proposal is a good deal for the state of Washington. We will not be allowing insurance companies to extend their policies.”
Kreidler has been a huge proponent of ObamaCare and a vocal advocate. Now that ObamaCare is the law of the land and the implementation is in effect, he is taking a stand against the president, despite the controversial reality of the effects, and will move Obama’s signature legislation forward in his state. Will more states follow Washington State’s lead in refusing to accept Obama’s unilateral decision to change the law of the land? If deep blue Washington State will not go along with Obama’s unilateral decision in an effort to shield him from this failure, then the response of others should prove interesting.
