Sex Scandals Ignored in State Department

Whistleblowers have reported multiple sex scandals within the State Department, although none have been formally investigated. In fact, most allegations were completely ignored or swept under the rug.

Federal watchdogs explained State Dept. officials and staffers who’ve been caught in a work-related sex scandal were either given “cushy” jobs or allowed to fully retire.

Damon Mathias, a lawyer and former investigator with the State Dept.’s Inspector General claimed the U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Howard Gutman and members of then-Sec. Hillary Clinton’s security detail hired prostitutes while on the job, but were never punished for their indiscretions.

Addition claims have been made against an official stationed in Naples, Italy. Accusations against Consul General Donald Moore include activity with call girls, sexual harassment in the Italian office and financial misconduct.

Other claims of sexual misconduct within the State Dept. include officers in Beirut and Iraq.

But Mathias says no one has bothered to investigate the claims or hold the accused parties responsible. Instead, they are merely transferred to a different post, or bestowed the full benefit of retirement.

The State Dept. has dismissed all of the allegations as “baseless.”

“Nobody’s barking…As a concerned citizen, what the hell is going on here?” Mathias asked.

How should these types of allegations be handled? Leave your comments in the space below!
