Democratic Lies About Racism

This is why I have no respect for these Assbags! Its all about race! Can't argue facts. here comes the race card!

As their poll numbers drop, the Democrats and their allies beat the racism drum ever louder. Case in point: Nancy Pelosi told the press on Thursday one whopper of a lie about Republicans.  She said Republicans are against amnesty for illegal immigrants because the immigrants in question are not white.  With a straight face and to a listening press corps, Pelosi said that she’s heard Republicans tell the Irish that if amnesty were “just for them,” there would be no opposition from the right.  It is an incredible, ugly, and vicious accusation.
Evidently at least one reporter later pressed her on the matter, because Pelosi was forced to admit that she didn’t exactly hear a Republican say such a thing after all.  She now claims that she got the information second hand.  In other words, she lied.
Too bad website publisher Andrew Breitbart is not alive.  He caught Democrats in a similar lie during the health care debate in 2010 when the press reported in papers throughout the country that Tea Party members called Democratic Representative John Lewis the N word as he was walking from his office to the Capitol.  Breitbart offered to donate $100,000 to the United Negro College Fundif anyone could prove the allegations.  And since many onlookers videotaped the whole incident, it became clear that no names were called as Lewis and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus walked to the Capitol.  No N word, no racists, no peep from the Tea Party members except shouts of “kill the bill,” referring to the healthcare bill.
So why do they tell such fabrications?  Because it works. National hero and baseball star Hank Aaron on Wednesday said Republicans are the “KKK.”  Again, no proof was offered to back that up. Sadly, unlike Pelosi, Aaron clearly believes what he’s saying. For a large number of his fans it’s heartbreaking that such a beloved figure thinks they are capable of such evil. But it’s a homerun for Pelosi and team.

The Republicans are the anti-slavery party; the party of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments; the anti-Jim Crow party; the anti-lynching party; and the party that voted for the Civil Rights Acts of the 1950s against Democratic opposition and in the 1960s in larger percentages than the Democrats. It is a proud, pro-freedom history that continues to this day.Playing defense in politics is the kiss of death, and the Democrats know it.  They have been on the losing side of the healthcare debate for a while now and an election is coming up.  Their Hail Mary play is to lob the racist card yet again and pray that it helps them in November.  Meanwhile, the Republicans should stop playing defense and start telling the story of their long, proud history of standing up for civil rights.

People like Rick Santorum understand that the left has rewritten its civil rights history through movies, TV, grade schools, universities, and most of the media, so he is now leading a production company that seeks to make more balanced films.  He’s got the right idea, but a lot more will need to be done, and over a long period of time, to undo the damage that has been done to the civil rights reputation of the Republican Party.  In the meantime, it is a distinctly Republican trait to have faith that individual Americans will decide for themselves who is on the side of right.  When November comes, we’ll see if that strategy works.  Perhaps the race card has been played too many times for it to be credible.  But as the sun rises in the East, the left will keep on trying.
